  • "Reservation for 5 for Father's Day. Half empty restaurant, but they still seemed like they didn't know where to seat us. Drinks came to the table wrong. Mimosa's tasted like they were made with Tang. Once we ordered it took an hour to get our food. My Lobster Eggs Benedict were cold. The lobster was flavorless, overcooked and rubbery. The eggs had hard set. The hasbrowns were ice cold, overcooked and greasy. They were well-aware of the time issue and discounted our bill, but that discount was still minimal. Tables seemed in a state of disrepair, and need replaced/refinished. On the plus side, our server was kind and did his best to put up with a cranky senior-citizen. Based on this experience I doubt I will ever return to One Red Door."

  • "They were surprisingly unprepared for a Father's Day rush and by noon (our reservation time), they were out of 2 different dishes. The waiter warned us it would be slow service as they were unprepared in the kitchen - and it was. It was pricey - $17.50 for a hamburger with fries, considering the lack of options on the limited menu Saturday/Sunday."

  • "We ate at this place on a Saturday night. This is a place you want to like, but the negatives make it difficult to really do so. Has lots of potential, but until it can really execute well, I can't recommend it. The service was fair. Our waitress took our order, disappeared and runners took care of everything else; no one asked how our food was, etc. The busboys clearly need training; didn't know a bread plate from an appetizer plate. Food was creative, well prepared and visually appealing, but bland. We had to ask for salt as there was none on the table; if you're not going to put salt and pepper on tables, then the food better be properly seasoned and it wasn't. Great concept, but definitely needs to improve on execution"

  • "The brunch menu is so extensive and has so many great choices, it's hard to make a decision. Very creative and generous portions. Nice shady patio on the side of the building. Check out the bloody mary bar. They bring you a glass of vodka and ice and you do the rest. The selection includes bacon and shrimp, all sorts of olives, hot sauces and so on. Like having a appetizer with all the accompaniments. "

  • "When I first entered the One Red Door I thought, "Wow! This place is awesome!". But then I had their food. We got the roasted dates and the pommes frites for an appetizer. The dates were alright, but really chewy from the chorizo. I like the pommes frites and the dipping sauce. My boyfriend ordered the Pasta Carbonara. That one was a big let down. I think it was due to the mushrooms, but the dish tasted like it hotdogs. It was not pleasant to our palettes. I ordered the roasted lamb loin. The lamb tasted find, it could of used more seasoning. The ravioli was a little on the chewy side and the bolognese sauce tasted pretty, but was very unappetizing to look at. The service was good. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. "

  • "After a long drive from Richmond, VA we selected this restaurant from Open Table. GREAT FIND! Food was delicious. Highly recommend the dates with chorizo wrapped in bacon. Service was perfect. Our server was wonderful. Wish this restaurant was closer to home."

  • "This was our 3rd trip to the One Red Door. Previous visits were OK. Not this time. Ordered Eggs Benedict and Sausage gravy and biscuits. Could not cut the Canadian bacon OR the English muffin on the eggs Benedict. Both hard as a rock. Bob Evans has better biscuits and gravy. Much too expensive for bad food. Also waited @ 20 minutes before someone showed up to wait on us."

  • "One Red Door continues to be our "go to" restaurant in Hudson, and the menu is so varied you need to go back multiple times to try all the items of interest. On our recent trip we started with the tuna taco, tempura grouper fingers, and Thai lettuce wraps, all of which were very good. My wife's wild mushroom pizza was excellent -- thin, crusty, and loaded with wild mushrooms. My burger was very good, topped with melted brie and some crispy onions, but somewhat more salty than usual. The wine list is very good with a wide range of wines, although I'd like to see a few more options in the $40-$50 range. All in all, One Red Door is a great restaurant and definitely worth a visit!"

  • "I wouldn't recommend the One Red Door in Hudson. I made reservations, but was not allowed to sit in any of the empty booths. We were interrupted several times by the water and bread boys, but my coffee was never refilled. After I finished my meal, I was offered a refill on the coffee, and was charged for a second cup. The prices are very high and of course al a cart. Nothing is seasoned, and there are no salt or pepper shakers on any table. The food was all thrown together, unrecognizable and not all that great. "

  • "We have been to this restaurant several times and have always been happy. I was anticipating a little extra on Easter from this fine establishment but alas it did not happen. The menu was the usual menu nothing special for this special day. I usually like your steak and eggs but I was told steak was not available. Also we waited over 40 minutes for our food and although the waiter apologized for the length of time nothing extra was offered to us to tide us over. My husband I both noticed when our food arrived the portions were noticeably smaller than usual. Was it because of the delay that the kitchen was running out of food? Either way we were disappointed this time . Thank you ."

  • "After recently hearing a rumor that One Red Door will be closing soon, I had to get back to enjoy another wonderful dinner. Rumor was that ORD not doing as well as Flip Side and Flip Side would be taking over the ORD space! Don't do it! One Red Door offers a unique menu, unlike any other restaurant in the area. I have dined there many times, been gastronomically fullfilled, and hope to do it many more times!"

I mentioned that it was my husband's birthday... why do you ask if you do not acknowledge? The dance around the happy hour specials did not make me happy. especially the server's going to check the clock and coming back to say it was 6:01 and forget it. How about giving the staff some flexibility, especially on a Tuesday night when you only have two ppl in the dining room? Would have made a big difference even though we did not even know about the 'special' until we entered the restaurant."

  • "I highly recommend this restaurant for those of you who like to know where your food comes from. I love the fact that this restaurant has locally raised meat, produce and dairy! The Pork was probably the best pork I've ever had, done perfectly, so tender. And try the Kale salad if it's still on the menu -their menu changes with the seasons - it was excellent! Overall great dinner will definitely return to this place many times."

  • "Been here on a few occasions, enjoyed the atmosphere but food never struck me to hard. This time was a different story.. Ordered the Edamame Hummus appetizer, it was absolutely delectable! My main course was the "Grass Fed Buffalo Burger". This was a masterpiece. I ordered it "medium" and all I can say is wow. The onion jam and steakhouse sauce were solid additions to the burger. I am craving the exact same meal as we speak! Atmosphere is always good.. Sit on the side where the bar is for a more energetic feel...Seems as if the lighting is better! Can't go wrong with this restaurant!"

  • "We had a 6:30 reservation. The restaurant was not busy. First our waiter was not clear about a wine question, and told us a Pinot noir we were interested in was from CA not Oregon, which was incorrect. No big deal, we all make mistakes. Ordered a delicious salad, asked for dressing on the side, it was served over-dressed, but was delicious When we were not even half way through our salad and soup, out entrees came so then our table was over crowded and we felt rushed. The food was great service not so good."

  • "My boyfriend and I always pass this restaurant as we are frequent goers of the neighboring restaurant Flip Side and had always had some interest in visiting here. Well the chance finally came this past week and we were impressed. Our food was wonderful as we enjoyed hanger steak and the French dip. Our service was excellent and we were very pleased. I could see noise being a problem during a busy day of the week, but seeing as though we were there on a Monday night, we had no issues."

  • "Very attractive restaurant, but awfully dark. I like some ambiance and coziness, but we couldn't see the menu! And eating food that I can't really see has always concerned me. The hostess was kind enough to move us to the bar area where the lighting was somewhat better, perhaps because we were under the TV. The meal was fine, but they brought our entrees before we were done with our appetizers. We were dining fairly early and they were not crowded so I don't know what the rush was about..... kind of an underwhelming experience."

  • "Had 9:00 reservations for the 4 course prix fix New Year's Eve dinner. We arrived on time and we're seated within minutes. Our booth was in the bar area which was crowded and a little noisy with a dj for the night. Not complaining though since it was NYE. Our server Michael was great and the food was fantastic. Great menu items to choose from for each course. We chose so that we could share each course and every bite was a hit. Thanks for a great end to 2013."
