One Market Restaurant
Great dinner at One MarketHad a great dinner. Great food. Great service. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Service was great. You was amazing. We all had a good time.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Weekly BeastWe had the Duck Weekly Beast dinner and it was fabulous. Wine pairings were perfect. Best course was the duck egg yolk raviolo.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday Lunch!I took my wife out to lunch at One Market. I reserved my table via OpenTable. A staff member from One Market called me the day before the reservation to confirm--I mentioned that the lunch was for my wife's birthday. He asked me her name, which I provided.
When we arrived and I announced my name, the hostess immediately wished my wife a happy birthday. This greeting was repeated by staff members throughout our meal.
Our waitress recommended an appetizer - smoked sea salmon with egg, which was excellent. Our fava bean risotto and grilled mahi-mahi, were also very good. We finished with dessert--chocolate toffee crunch cake and pineapple upside-down cake. My wife's cake came with a birthday greeting written on plate in chocolate.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA little slow but nice serverHi. You can always count on interesting choices. It was a busy Thursday lunch hour so the service was a little slow this day but the server was really nice and the food was tasty as usual.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a great meal!We stop in here on any trips we make to SF a couple times per year. It's never been less than a great meal every time.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for business meetingsI have a lot of client meetings at this restaurant and it is an enjoyable experience every time. The food is amazing and the staff has very little turnover, so they make regulars feel extremely welcomed.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial evening outThoroughly enjoyed our special evening out at One Market. Delicious. And wow that rhubarb galette! Felt like we really treated ourselves by going there instead of one of our usual haunts.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAn evening to RemeberWhat a fantastic evening. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable. The food was incredible, some of the best I have ever had. Try the Tasmanian trout with pancetta vin and a poached chicken egg and the butterscotch pudding. Well any dessert actually. Chef Mark Dommen is a star.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGood place for business lunchesGood place for business lunches or dinners with great food. Great area/location.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways worth itFood and service always consistently excellent. Wife had the steak and I had the Gnocchi and both were prepared to perfection in a classic way. Few restaurants are this consistent year after year.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food!I love going to One Market - it is a comfortable place for family or dinner with colleagues. The menu had changed since my last visit, but it was still delicious. I had the asparagus salad, chickpea fries and mushroom gnudi...all delicious! The chickpea fries are a regular favourite for a side dish and I can never stop eating them. Service was very good as usual, but they do take their time with bringing the cheque. Definitely will go again given the opportunity!!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOne Market Delivers! One Market consistently delivers. Fantastic food in a beautiful venue, where it's actually easy to have a conversation. The sommelier, Tonya?, is superb. Always points to hidden gems that are not outrageously priced. This is my favorite special occasion place. They truly are pros.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent business lunch:Excellent business lunch: Great food, attentive but not intrusive service.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI really appreciated that,I really appreciated that, instead of providing dishtowels as napkins, which is so popular these days, resulting in lint all over the place, at One Market the napkins are real cloth and, when they saw that one of us was wearing black, he was offered a black napkin just in case any lint might cling. That's such a nice touch that puts One Market a cut above the rest.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Weekly BeastThis is one of my favorite restaurants in SF. My friends and I enjoy eating at the kitchen bar where we can interact with the chefs. We were there most recently for the pig weekly beast menu and it was all great. I even ate the pork blood...although I did disolve it in the fabulous broth first! I also think they have one of the best pastry departments in SF, which sometimes doesn't get enough credit.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for my birthday.TheWe went for my birthday. The food was good, but something seemed off from some of my previous visits. The leek vinegarette salad was a weird presentation. The leeks were long, stringy and difficult to eat and to cut up. There were 3 strips if strange bacon, very thin, fatty and chewy. I sent it back and got the Cesar salad. It too wasn't nearly as good as it usually is. I order it every time I am there. The lettuce had a texture like it had been blanched in water. The dressing was delicious as usual, but the lettuce didn't have any crunch. The scallop dinner was delicious, but when eating the lobster sauce and artichoke chips all together, it was very salty. Each component was tasty, together, too much salt. Our waiter was excellent4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMSo PopularI know why One Market is so popular. They really take care of the guest. All requests were accommodated with enthusiasm and the food is really, really good. Mahi Mahi was sweet and succulent. Baby carrots were buttery and Brussels sprouts with bacon were to die for. I always get the chocolate toffee crunch cake. It reminds me of the old Blum's.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was absolutely amazing! The food was absolutely amazing! Goat served four different ways - incredible!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good as always, especiallyVery good as always, especially the weekly beast feast!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe scallops were good, butThe scallops were good, but the foam was not interesting. Goat meat course not so good. Reasonably inventive without being cutting edge. One Michelin star about right.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Good for Lunch in San FranciscOur party of three had lunch at One Market a week ago. Reservations were honored on-time. Wait service was excellent including the wait person making several recommendations and then fully answering our questions. Food was well presented and very good. We could hear one another as the noise level was quiet and we did not feel rushed. We look forward to again having lunch at One Market4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGoat! We dined recently having the 'Weekly Beast' tasting menu for goat. I like the concept! It is interesting to have an entire menu using different aspects of the protein extended to the dessert. The high point was the fava bean risotto, the low was slow cooked goat shoulder. All and all, an enjoyable dining experience. The waitstaff and service were uniformly pleasant and helpful. We ate the following night with an additional guest at the kitchen counter with the ala carte menu. Similar experience -- some dishes soar, others not so much.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful diningWe had a wonderful dining experience the other night. I ordered the prix fix 3 course menu which was superb. I had the crab soup - superb. Then had the sturgeon. Equally as good. Then the caramel pudding. My friend had the pork tenderloin which she enjoyed and a starter as will. Food was excellent, staff friendly. A well-paced meal. I would highly recommend.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMI asked for a quiet tableI asked for a quiet table and the one we were given was great. The menu is somewhat limited but everything we ordered was wonderful. The service was just okay. We had to wait to order drinks until I corralled someone but when he finally got there the waiter was pleasant and knowledgeable. We most appreciated our ability as a group of 6 to carry on a conversation even after the restaurant filled up.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were looking for a placeWe were looking for a place convenient for two couples, one staying in a hotel in the financial district and the other commuting from the Peninsula. We checked out the website and were impressed. The food, service, and location were perfect. We'll be back!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe view wasn't so great (saidThe view wasn't so great (said view of bay bridge and port building in description) but the food and atmosphere more than made up for it.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMHaving food quality of OneHaving food quality of One Market's level, in a room with such tasteful decor and spectacular Bay views, is one of the extraordinary gifts of living in this area.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food paired with greatGreat food paired with great service and piano to boot! A delightful experience on both occasions3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMOn top of the excellent service,On top of the excellent service, great food, etc this is an excellent restaurant for people with food allergies. I'm a challenge as I'm dairy and gluten free. They are helpful, accomodating and you will have a great meal without confidence.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMProbably the best scallopsProbably the best scallops I have ever had. Absolutely delicious. Appreciated the fact that the kitchen accommodated my dietetic requests. Will definitely go back.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAn excellent restaurant, really. An excellent restaurant, really. I am not a big fan of the kinds of food One Market serves, and my meal wasn't memorable. For example, I couldn't really tell that I was having crab in the crab salad. It was a nice salad, but I would have been happier with plain, unadulterated dungeness. Others in my group that their meals were outstanding.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMA good way to end the CongressGreat surprise! We have enjoyed meals and service. Lack some privacy.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGo-To RestaurantOne Market is my go-to restaurant for important lunch or dinner occasions. They never fail to please with delicious food and attentive service. But, I tried to go on Sunday night and they were not open. Maybe they will change their schedule since there is so much activity on the foot of Market Street.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood, waitperson, ambianceFood, waitperson, ambiance --all very good. Front door greeters totally inept. We arrived, two people behind the desk. One takes our name. A couple of minutes later, after much time at two computer screens, several whispered chats and one peek around the corner, we are finally escorted to our table. The place is only 1/3 full! Try thinking ahead folks; seating people in a restaurant is not brain surgery.3/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat view of the embarcadero.Great view of the embarcadero. Great weekend tasting menus with amazing wine pairings at a reasonable price.1/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
