  • "My husband and I went here for our 9th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent! I enjoyed the gluten free choices they offered."

  • "4 of us dined at One Eleven on 4th of July between the parade and fireworks...great menu, food, and service...loved our waitress(very good sense of humor), made good food an even better experience...we will definitely be back. We love using Open Table...makes the booking and reservation process very easy and efficient!"

  • "We enjoyed outstanding service and atmosphere at this restaurant. I had the walleye which was very good. I was hoping to see wine on the wine list from the four local wineries in the Galena area but did not. The menu offered a great selection, however it made me question how much of the food was derived from the local area as the restaurant claims."

  • "I always enjoy their take on how to put together meals with fresh, local ingredients."

  • "My husband and another couple had dinner at 111 N Main and it was wonderful. Each dish was done to perfection. And the price was very reasonable. We attended the Mark Twain show afterward."

  • "Smoked trout appetizer was fantastic. Brisket sandwich was fair. Ravioli was too bland with too much sauce. Chocolate dessert was wonderful. Outstanding service."

  • "although supporting local suppliers is their mantra they should also pay closer to attention to their entrees.. my wife had blackened chicken which was buried in enough pasta an to feed four people and I had a blandly spiced catfish which sat upon a bed of risotto intermixed with mushrooms and asparagus (my bad for picking this as I never have good experience with risotto).."

  • "I had very high hopes for this venue. It's a standout among the other pubs lining Main Street in busy Galena on a summer Saturday night. The portabella mushroom appetizer was amazing. My broiled walleye over smashed potatoes with garlic broccoli was excellent. The flour less chocolate cake was smothered in ganache with just the right size dollop if vanilla bean ice cream from a local dairy. I have to disclose that the air conditioning was not working adequately. We were seated at a table near the bar and it did get noisy. And sad to say my husbands salad came with small ants. He waved down the busboy who could not have been more gracious and apologetic. It's wonderful to source everything locally but you still have to wash the produce!;)"

  • "One Eleven Main is one of our favorites in Galena. Food always prepared per desire, excellent service, and terrific food from local providers are staples in its performance. We had a pork chop special which was good although the sauce was a bit tangy for my palette. Those with heartier taste buds would undoubtedly enjoy it. The New York strip was outstanding. Both the garlic mashed and sweet potato compote were very good. We'll be back!"

  • "This was our first time at a farm to fork establishment and it was terrific. The service was terrific and the dood was outstanding. The prices were reasonable too."

  • "A charming restaurant in a charming little town, that serves excellent cuisine crafted from local ingredients. I had the ravioli, and from the list of strongly flavored ingredients (lemon, asparagus, herbs) was expecting something bold and powerful. I was pleasantly surprised at how sublimely and subtly these various notes had been combined into a tasty dish. Nothing was loud or overpowering, everything worked together in harmony. My wife's pork sandwich was moist and delicious, the way good pulled pork should be. My wife would also recommend her hand-crafted muddled cocktail (Pirate's punch) which featured fresh in-season blueberries. It was, in her words, "D-lish"."

  • "The food was tremendous. Go to 111 knowing that what makes this place great. Not the service. Not the ambience. The food is king."

  • "My husband and I enjoyed our Anniversary dinner, here. The food was outstanding! The service was just as goo and we loved the atmosphere, too! We will definitely make One Eleven Main one of our places to eat, next time we are in Galena."

  • "This restaurant has a decent atmosphere. Was not at all impressed with the service. We felt that our server would have preferred to be somewhere else and was not that attentive. Our appetizer was brought after we ate our salad. Food was fair and very overpriced. Everything is ala carte and you are not allowed to share except for a price. Would not return or recommend this restaurant to family or friends."

  • "We were in Galena for a week and the One Eleven Main restaurant was our favorite dining experience. Our meal was such a pleasant surprise. The cook obviously took extra time to make each dish and its presentation a delight. From the soup and salad to the main dish and then the wonderful dessert (lemon blueberry tart) the flavors were marvelous. It was a delightful dining experience with great service also."

  • "One Eleven Main caught my attention by focusing on local food. There are some great farmers in the area. It felt good to eat locally. The food was amazing! Very good food for a great price."

  • "This is a favorite restaurant for our girls' night out. The service is always attentive without hovering. The Chef's Spring Menu was outstandingly delicious starting with the watercress buttermilk soup with smoked whitefish; who knew that combination could be so amazing? My friend kept raving about the asparagus tempura...so did I. We both chose the juniper marinated fillet of beef after agonizing over the jager schnitzel. We were not disappointed as it was tender and beyond tasty. The chef truly cares about the food and the patron. He stopped at our table to inquire about our experience. Did I mention that we drive two hours to eat from the Chef's menu. Can't wait to see what his next offering will be."

  • "One Eleven Main has built a strong reputation for their creative use of local, seasonal ingredients. They are located in a beautiful old building right in the middle of Galena's Main Street. There are decent vegetarian options alongside local and sometimes organic beef, chicken, and pork. Their daily menu always includes a featured version of beef, pork, and freshwater fish (often walleye, which is excellent). We always find something new and interesting on the menu each time we return."

  • "We came in for appetizers and drinks. Service was excellent and so was the food. I would go there again for lunch or dinner."

  • "One Eleven Main has great bones - the old building retains the character of its time & the food has a great modern edge while staying true to the regional fare. The sustainability factor adds to the story as does the artwork - local merchants and farmers photos oversee the diners in a truly wonderful setting. We've eaten here several times and will likely do so again when we are in the area."

  • "Hoping this was just an off night for this place, but service was not the best and my steak, which I ordered medium well, was cooked medium RARE. By the time they brought me a new one, the rest of the table was done eating and we were ready to leave. We were also seated on the second floor, way in the back, which I think made it difficult for our waitress to know we were there in the first place. Had to flag her down twice to ask for more water. The food was good overall, but a bit overpriced in my opinion. "

  • "Been dining and recommending this place for years, however after our most recent experience, will do so NO MORE. In summary, ignored for over 5 minutes by bartender engrossed in conversation with only other couple at bar. Trout appetizer had significantly more cream cheese than fish for $12. My ny strip was good but uninspired, sitting atop whipped potatoes with carrots. Wife ordered the duck, which lacked flavor, there was very little of it, and, while it was supposed to come with sweet potatoes, they were out, but we weren't informed of that until the served the dish! Bread baked from a local baker was served after the entree. Menu in general very mundane, and every entree is served with virtually same potato dish. Thanks, but no."

  • "This was our first visit to One Eleven Main. We will definitely go back! Our waitress was one of the best ones we have had in a long time. She was energetic, friendly, very knowledgable about the menu, and helpful with picking out gluten free option. The chef was very knowledgable about preparing food according to my gluten free, lactose free diet. On top of all that, the food was delicious! "

  • "My wife and I don't travel very often. We were married for 52 years this past January. I wanted to give her a pleasant weekend trip so I chose Galena and stayed at The Irish Inn. We'd eaten there before but hadn't stayed. We ate at the Inn's Pub the first night. The second night I wanted something quiet and restful with terrific food. One Eleven Main was the best choice I could have made! We both enjoyed the ambiance and the mouthwatering entrees. Our waitress offered good suggestions. She was helpful and gave us just, exactly the right amount of attention. The food was well prepared and tastefully presented. Our drinks really complimented the food. Our waitress was the best we have seen anywhere; anytime. We doubled her tip!"

  • "I always make eating here a priority when I'm in Galena. The cheese board is a must along with a glass of wine. Always prompt to be seated and the service is attentive. I always go for the pecan salmon with brandy mashed sweet potatoes."

  • "The pot roast was delicious and very well presented. This was not the first time we visited this restaurant. We have always had a delicious entree."

  • "In 2 years this restaurant went from my favorite and first choice to my least favorite. I don't know what they have done but the food has really gone down hill. The specials are never special and lack inspiration and flavor. We informed management we'd give them one more try but we're not sure we want to waste our time again."

  • "not good for a large group, as the restaurant is very quiet. food was good, drinks were better. i recommend the champagne julep. gluten-free menu"

  • "A warm and cozy feel with an excellent drink menu. The dinner menu is well thought out and prepared well. Wait staff is more than friendly and accommodating with your particular needs and wants. A great hidden gem of a restaurant along a row of dining experiences. A must for a nice dinner out for locals or people visiting Galena."

  • "While the ambiance and service were very good, the food selections did not meet expectation(s) of our group. NOTE: We all have dined her at least twice before. This time we sampled each others 4 different entrees (beef special, house strogganoff dish, and fish) and felt that while the price is reasonable the selections were mediocre at best."

  • "The food was amazing and all our waiter's recommendations were on point. We had the Thai chicken wings for an appetizer, the walleye, the market feature - beef and a side of sweet potatoes. All was very good. The walleye was excellent, light and almond-encrusted. The atmosphere was nice. It was trendy but also felt familiar and I liked that they use local ingredients when possible."

  • "I over heard another customer say that the Walleye was excellent. He was correct. My wife thought her meal was very good as well. We would recommend."

  • "We found One Eleven Main to be a wonderful spot for our special night. My husband and I brought our two children, ages 13 and 17, with us. We all enjoyed our meals and waiter, Jake, did a fine job. We'll be back!"
