  • "My wife and I don't travel very often. We were married for 52 years this past January. I wanted to give her a pleasant weekend trip so I chose Galena and stayed at The Irish Inn. We'd eaten there before but hadn't stayed. We ate at the Inn's Pub the first night. The second night I wanted something quiet and restful with terrific food. One Eleven Main was the best choice I could have made! We both enjoyed the ambiance and the mouthwatering entrees. Our waitress offered good suggestions. She was helpful and gave us just, exactly the right amount of attention. The food was well prepared and tastefully presented. Our drinks really complimented the food. Our waitress was the best we have seen anywhere; anytime. We doubled her tip!"

  • "One Eleven Main is really good value considering the quality of the fare. We appreciate them providing a separate GF menu."

  • "I always make eating here a priority when I'm in Galena. The cheese board is a must along with a glass of wine. Always prompt to be seated and the service is attentive. I always go for the pecan salmon with brandy mashed sweet potatoes."

  • "The pot roast was delicious and very well presented. This was not the first time we visited this restaurant. We have always had a delicious entree."

  • "In 2 years this restaurant went from my favorite and first choice to my least favorite. I don't know what they have done but the food has really gone down hill. The specials are never special and lack inspiration and flavor. We informed management we'd give them one more try but we're not sure we want to waste our time again."

  • "not good for a large group, as the restaurant is very quiet. food was good, drinks were better. i recommend the champagne julep. gluten-free menu"

  • "A warm and cozy feel with an excellent drink menu. The dinner menu is well thought out and prepared well. Wait staff is more than friendly and accommodating with your particular needs and wants. A great hidden gem of a restaurant along a row of dining experiences. A must for a nice dinner out for locals or people visiting Galena."

  • "While the ambiance and service were very good, the food selections did not meet expectation(s) of our group. NOTE: We all have dined her at least twice before. This time we sampled each others 4 different entrees (beef special, house strogganoff dish, and fish) and felt that while the price is reasonable the selections were mediocre at best."

  • "The food was amazing and all our waiter's recommendations were on point. We had the Thai chicken wings for an appetizer, the walleye, the market feature - beef and a side of sweet potatoes. All was very good. The walleye was excellent, light and almond-encrusted. The atmosphere was nice. It was trendy but also felt familiar and I liked that they use local ingredients when possible."

  • "I over heard another customer say that the Walleye was excellent. He was correct. My wife thought her meal was very good as well. We would recommend."

  • "My fiance took me to One Eleven Main for my birthday. We have been here before and consider it a great dining spot in Galena, perhaps the best. The service was outstanding, the food delicious. Highly recommend dining at this restaurant."

  • "We found One Eleven Main to be a wonderful spot for our special night. My husband and I brought our two children, ages 13 and 17, with us. We all enjoyed our meals and waiter, Jake, did a fine job. We'll be back!"

  • "Although we visit the Galena area several times a year, this was our first evening at One Eleven. The overall ambiance was great, staff friendly and well educated on the menu. Food was excellent, a place we would definitely recommend and return."

  • "We dined at One Eleven for New Year's Eve with two of our friends. The environment was the perfect blend of romantic & fun. When we first arrived we were the only table seated in the area, but by the time we left the place was packed. Our entire party truly enjoyed their meals & we had a ton of fun. Our server took excellent care of us throughout the evening & made great recommendations. One of our party has some food allergies & she was careful to note this. Very pleased! We will definitely be back!"

  • "We had the 4 course new year's eve menu that they were serving all week. It was exceptional!"

  • "We chose One Eleven Main, because of their commitment to local sources of food. I typically enjoy restaurants that care a great deal about where they get their meats and vegetables, instead of buying from any restaurant supply company that serves their area. I had the duck and it was very good. My wife had the salmon and it was a little more fishy than usual. I think that can be somewhat expected if it is very natural, but it was noticeable. We had a new waitress and she was nervous, but did a nice job. We were seated in the back, so there wasn't a view involved. I know this isn't a great review, but it really was a good meal. Especially the duck."

  • "my wife, two teenage daughters and i dined at one eleven main the day after thanksgiving for my wife's birthday. given the day it was not overly crowded but it was quite pleasant. the food was outstanding...two ny strips, the duck, and the signature chicken...all delicious...and our server was a joy. we'll certainly consider one eleven main for our future trips to galena."

  • "We really enjoyed our visit to One Eleven. It was a special dinner for us and they didn't disappoint. The only thing that wasn't above average was the knowledge of our server, she was not aware of the specials that day or the pricing of the Nouveau Dinner special they had so we had to explain it to her and she still had to correct our bill at the end. That said, she was pleasant and attentive to service, the restaurant ambiance was unique and our dinner was delicious. We will be back."

  • "They had a very nice gluten free menu. Although they didn't have a lot to choose from it was a nice selection and they were very helpful in trying to accommodate my dairy allergy as well. They even had a flourless chocolate cake but it did contain dairy so I wasn't able to try it. The pecan encrusted salmon was delicious. The fish was perfectly done and the sweet maple and pecans were amazing. The vegetables were also delicious but had a bit too much oil for my tastes. I would gladly eat there again and will recommend it to my friends."

  • "WOW is how I describe our experience at 111 Main Street. First off greeted by a wonderful friendly individual. We were seated and offered drinks immediately. THE WAITRESS WAS THE BEST!!! She was so attentive, friendly and all around perfect. Then there was the food. Oh my gosh absolutely perfect. My husband and myself both did the 4 course meal. I'm a picky eater and was worried about the soup because I hate blue cheese. It was so yummy. The chef at 111 Main Street really is a talent and you can tell takes pride in their work. I would love to thank 111 Main Street for a wonderful meal and experience. It was my husband and mine 14 year anniversary and you definitely made it a perfect experience. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING."

  • "On our first visit to Galena, to celebrate my wife's birthday, I came across One Eleven Main's menu at their website, and was impressed by the emphasis on local food sources - decided to give them a try, and was very, very pleased with that decision. The food was extremely well prepared and presented. We look forward to a return to Galena, and One Eleven Main will be on our agenda."

  • "Both entrees were terrific and the service was nice. The bar level was noisy as it was $2 wine night. However, we were seated upstairs, which was nice and quiet."

  • "The food was good, but not a lot of choices on the menu that I liked. It was nice that they fit us in, since I had the reservations scheduled on the wrong day."

  • "My f/f and myself went there Sat.19th 2013 and found it to be an excellent place to eat and the scenery inside is remarkable. We highly recommend this place when your in Galena"

  • "Our reservation was Saturday night - 7ish. We were seated close to the bar, rather than upstairs in what appeared to be their dining room. I don't understand the rationale for the bar seating. When we first sat down, there was even loud bar music playing, but it did get quieter over the course of the dinner. The food was OK. It was obviously designed to be impressive....lots of what should have been interesting combinations, but most everything was sort of flavorless and much was dry. The mashed sweet potatoes were good. My son ordered a flourless chocolate cake and ended up with a globby volcano cake-like substance. An OK dinner but certainly not worth the cost. The establishment is much more proud of it than they should be."

  • "My husband is on the Gluten-Free diet and he has choices from their outstanding menu. Not many places we can eat but One Eleven is a staple when we visit Galena! He raved about the chocolate flourless cake. Definitely a spot to keep in mind for Gluten-Free food."

  • "I was really excited to go to this place, and we went on the busiest weekend of the year. Apparently the crowd was not coming in until Saturday, because we got there at 8:00 on Friday and the place was empty. Good thing I made a reservation on Open Table ;-) The food was good. We had sandwiches. I suspect the main dishes are even better, but we we weren't super hungry. I would definitely return to try some of the signature dishes, but the middle range entrees were sort of middle range. All in all, good experience, I was just expecting more."

  • "Good food and nice casual atmosphere. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the wine list and food offerings although a little too busy at times to fill water glasses and bring requests to the table. Even so a great dinner and dining esxperience."
