Good food, but slow service and surly hostess. Took forever to get anyone to even bring water, longer to get served lunch and no one ever did come to take my credit card to pay my bill so I ended up having to leave cash which meant leaving a lower tip than I intended because I didn't have any more cash. I will never go back. Huge disappointment.

This was our first visit to One Five Three and it won't be the last. Starting with the valet parking staff, everyone was very friendly and focused on delivering a first class dining experience. We shared a cheese plate and each selection was wonderful. Instead of entrees, we decided to split three side dishes and all were excellent.

Love One53's 25% off wine special on Monday through Wednesdays. Definitely one of our top picks - management does a great job of acquiring, training, and maintaining talented staff. Service is exceptional, so is the food, and we love the special cocktail menu. We have used their wine room for a family event, and recommend that as well.

Menu varies with the season to take advantage of the freshest ingredients. Everything from the fresh grilled fish to hearty meals like the braised ribs is carefully prepared. Good selection of wine pairings at reasonable prices. Extremely professional and friendly servers. A little pricey overall for the suburbs but worth every penny. Save room and budget for dessert!

The noise level choices are inadequate,,,energetic does not describe "noisy", which it was. As stated, food and service was terrific. A little cramped, too many tables in a small space; could never be called romantic. Impossible to have a quiet meal and conversation, especially on a special occasion. Having said that, it is still a great place to dine if you know what to expect re ambiance.

I have been to One53 several times and have never been disappointed until this last time. My disappointment lies in the meager portion of the quite excellent Mac N Cheese that comes with the Grilled Chicken and Mac N Cheese. In addition, the chicken was overly spiced with something that did not appeal. Overall this is a fantastic neighborhood gem that we will keep going back too and I would highly recommend it.

I went here with my wife after we passed the restaurant on a Tuesday evening and saw a packed parking lot. We decided to go to dinner and had a sampling of the appetizers - all were delicious. Most notably, the chef had a deft hand and knew when to use restraint with strong flavoring components. All and all great night out - would highly recommned to anyone.

Small inside so make a reservation but very nice and the service was great. My wife, business colleague and I enjoyed an excellent meal at One 53 on a recent Thursday evening. My seared flounder was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and my wife raved about her scallops. The Sancerre by the glass was great, as was the beer list, that included a lot of microbrews. The Blueberry Galotte tart was delightful, and the cheese and nut plate a nice finish to a fine dinner.

We've been to ONE 53 several times in the last few years and loved it. A while back we went and it was 'okay'. We went again on Sunday and it was completely forgettable. The food was tasteless. My wife's breaded chicken and my $32 salmon had zero flavor. The 'greens' served with my salmon were 4 radish slices and a schmeer of tasteless pea-paste. The potatoes that came with it were equivalent to one soggy McDonald's french fry buried under the tasteless salmon. (At least I think they were potatoes!) Oh, and the BLT-kabobs and the shrimp and grits we had as appetizers...equally tasteless. The wine was great. The waiter was FANTASTIC. But neither can make up for four (!) different selections that failed to deliver ANY flavor whatsoever.
