  • "I heard about this place because I heard that a old bartender friend of mine worked there. I did some research and the place was great start to finish, our waiter was Mike and he was amazing. Grilled octopus, Pork belly, duck breast, crab app, dessert, drinks were very good. One of the best Old fashion I have had. The place could be packed but you don't sit near everyone like every other restaurant on earth. so you can still have a private conversation. This may be my regular haunt on monday and I have to say the prices are a great deal for what you get, I would put this against some top places in NYC."

  • "What a fantastic restaurant. The view is spectacular and the service impeccable. The food was an absolute standout - not an overly tasty sensation, but this actually was the highlight as the richness which typically accompanies such beautiful food was absent, rather subtle and diverse flavours throughout. All well cooked it had my wife and I feeling the best you could after such a dining experience. A must do if you are in Hartford."

  • "Special surprise birthday dinner for my husband - couldn't have gone better! Th e staff was friendly & attentive. Food was interesting and beautifully presented. Wine list needs updating but found a nice wine to enjoy. We had a large party so we couldn't be near a window, but had a lovely view anyway. We will return with smaller group and plan to enjoy the entire evening sipping wine and watching the lights."

  • "What a surprise to find a superb restaurant in Hartford on a recent trip. First, the 20th floor view is spectacular. I would characterize the overall vibe as quiet elegance which is reflected in both the food and service. This is a high end foodie place where you can expect to receive an amuse bouche, intermezzo and sweet finale. Secondly, the food was creative, beautifully presented and interesting... probably a meal that you will talk about for a while. Third, everything was delicious and fun to eat. I would definitely return."

  • "For special occasions or for those that just want an incredible dining experience, On20 is not to be missed. While it is certainly at the higher end of the price range, it is not any more expensive than some of Hartford's other fine dining options, such as Max Downtown, but the food and service just do not compare to any other restaurant. There is a reason that they continue to win the Zagat award for service. Check out the Octopus starter, and rest assured you will have a fabulous evening!"

  • "Wait staff was outstanding and very accommodating. Lovely views of downtown Hartford. The staff answered questions about both the meal and the wines. Food had a wonderful flavor, but I had ordered pork and my piece was very fatty. The typical "French restaurant" dishes were not offered, like escargot or creme brulee/ chocolate mousse. It looks like they offered a nice cheese and wine flight, but we didn't realize it until dessert time. The meals were priced fairly, but the wines were very expensive. Nice for special occasions, but be expected to spend at least $200 for 2."

  • "The food was exquisite. A delicious tagliatelle dish and delightful black bass. The crab appetizer was very tasty and the octopus was tender and flavorful. The staff was attentive to our every need and took great care to inquire about and confirm any food allergies. The dishes were presented beautifully and with a detailed description of how it was prepared and all the ingredients included. The view of the city and river were spectacular and the ambience was quiet and romantic. A great place to celebrate my wife's birthday."

  • "My wife's CT Farm Fresh Express company has been delivering locally grown produce, meat, and cheese to this one-of-a-kind restaurant for some time so we were anxious to experience the creative cuisine of Chef Jeffery and staff. We were not disappointed. From the elegant place settings, white glove service, views, and decor to the most incredible combinations of flavors in each and every course. For instance we began with a Parmesan custard with Meyer lemon wedge and a pumpernickel crouton. C'mon...who else is coming up with these types of creations? So don't miss the inventive and carefully presented food by these masters of fine food."

Service was fair, but again not very friendly personable. There's a better place in Manchester, but I will not name it here, as it would be inappropriate."

  • "This is not a restaurant you want to pass up. We had a delightful and delectable experience. Let's talk about the ambiance - it has a beautiful view of the Hartford skyline. The tables are not close to each other which is very nice (we have been to many a fine dining restaurant where they squeeze you in and you don't have any privacy). Now, let's talk about the food - we had the chef's tasting menu. It was out of this world! Several courses of small plates which provided the opportunity to try many different things from the menu (and yes, this included dessert too.) Soooo good! A big thumbs up for ON20."

  • "Our evening started with us having to wait 45 minutes for our table. It was incredibly annoying because there was never so much as a drink on the house and or snack or anything to hold us over. We actually had somewhere to be later so the rest of the night was very rushed. I really enjoyed the food though, but I do believe it used to be better. I had the crab and duck both of which were excellent. I would recommend this restaurant just because the food is good for Hartford, but they really need to work on tier service."

  • "I couldn't resist On20 for lunch when I saw they were participating in Taste of Hartford. As always, everything was amazing. I had the chowder, duck confit hash, and the citrus dessert. My husband had the salmon tartar, tagiatelle, and the carrot cake dessert. We also shared a cheese course, which I would highly recommend. The service was attentive without being obtrusive and the ambience was lovely, you can't beer the views at On20. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Connecticut."

Quiet ,as the tables are set far apart, you can have a nice conversation without shouting across the table. Amazing view of Hartford. The wine list had a good choice of price range. Our crispy duck with poached egg was so interesting with many unusual combination of flavors. The pollock was elevated to a new height with the mushroom ragu. The desserts were a work of art with garnishes and sauces making them not only pretty but very delicious. A very memorable lunch. Loved it."

  • "The food was amazing, ordered the tasting menu that come along with 9 courses. The food was unexpectedly good, there were not a single course that disappointed us, that we wanted more of. The Chef(Jeffery) did a tremendous job on making the food artistic and delicious. All the staffs there were friendly, attentive and make you feel welcomed. With the help of the staffs, I managed to propose to my girlfriend with huge success, it's a great place to go for romantic settings, and special occasions. Will be going back there many times in the future and recommend to friends."

Entree selection was limited and my first choice, fish was not available - disappointing at first since it was only 7:30. I opted for a beef dish, which was highly recommended and very good. It was nice to have dinner and be able to have a conversation in this quiet setting. Quite nice and will definitely recommend to others."
