"Service is impressive. Everyone very attentive. Wonderful feel to the restaurant.

But NYC prices and not quite NYC food. The food is outstanding but the restaurant is just about pushing a price point for Hartford. Equally good value at other less expensive restaurants downtown Hartford, especially given ON20's inconvenient location."

"One of the best meals I ever had was a lunch many years ago at the Polytechnic Club ON20 to celebrate the closing of a significant business deal. I have wanted to go back for dinner for a long time, but ON20 has dinner only on Friday nights, and reservations need to be made weeks in advance. Last Friday, my wife and I took a friend to ON20 for her birthday, and the experience was as excellent as I had hoped. From appetizers through dessert, all the food was very good and most dishes were superb. The waitstaff was attentive and the presentation consistently beautiful. We will definitely go again when we want to have a very special meal."

"From the moment we stepped through the doors to enter to the time we left, the service was exceptional. The staff go out of their way to make you feel special while not overly assuming. The food was fantastic, each dish artfully arranged, almost too pretty to eat. The timing was perfect and there was always somebody there to answer questions or attend to us but we did not feel smothered at all. A top contender on our list for sure!"

"I've been to ON20 quite a few times now. Its easily the best restaurant in the area, let alone Hartford. Delicious food, gorgeous presentation, attentive waitstaff, and honestly very fair price for an experience of this quality. Serving lunch during the week and open only for dinner on Friday, it can be difficult to get a table during certain times of the year (Valentine's Day, Holidays, etc.) But that just adds to the allure."

"Indoor parking is on-site and you take the elevator up to the 20th floor. The restaurant was beautiful, but with a definite corporate feel. The Maître d' welcomed us immediately after being seated and took care of getting us settled in with water, drinks, etc.

It wasn't clear initially that there was full bar service because of the way we were steered directly to wine. Our server was just average, but fortunately the Maitre d' continued be very attentive and helpful.

The food was very good and we enjoyed our meal. The room is almost unnaturally quiet. There was a piano in the room, but no one was playing the night we were there. Definitely not the place to take noisy children."

"Disappointed. Not the personal touch that one would expect at this price level. Constant change of waiters, no connection at all. Big office space that with tables in the middle, feeling one sitting in an island, exposed. Cannot blindly rely on the wine list, the Pouilly Fume was below par. With wine ap on the smart phone in hand, wines we checked are in the 80-85 points out of a 100, a place like this should pick better. The vintage port requested was sold out. Food looked fancy but disappointed. We would rather spend our $$ at Max Downtown"

"A perfect leisurely afternoon. Spent about three hours for lunch with old friends; the food and service were impeccable and the view impressive. We were one of four or five tables being served, but the space is so expansive and the staff so attentive that we barely noticed the other patrons. Wonderful between-course complimentary bites and well thought-out, complex courses. The restaurant itself, however, is a bit confusing to find (you enter an unlabeled revolving door next to a parking garage and then have to take two different elevators to get to the entrance). A surprising fine dining gem in a city that might otherwise be overlooked as simply a point between New York and Boston. The highlight of a work-visit to Hartford."
