At first, there was a very large party in the restaurant that was very loud and difficult to make it to our table. Once the party left, the evening was much more enjoyable. Wonderful lakeside view from the table. Our server (Billy) was great at recommending wine choices, appetizer and dinner choices. Food was amazing. During dinner another server offered to take a picture of us on the verandah with lake at sunset in the background. So nice!! At the end of dinner a complementary tiny crème brulée dessert was served, a perfect end to a delicious meal and dining experience. I love children, but this is not a place for noisy children. There are many other restaurants where families with young children can go, relax, and be themselves. The food is always great, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere and view are fantastic. This is the first place we always take our guests, and when we walk to our table out on the screened verandah their reaction is always "WOW, this is beautiful!". Then they truly enjoy the food -- one favorite is the wonderful spinach salad. It also has a lovely Sunday brunch.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMy second visit was as memorableThis was my second time eating at ON the Veranda. It was just as wonderful as the first time. We had the same waiter and before and he was even better than the last time. The food was just as delicious. Blue fin tuna is a favorite of my and I really love the Tally Chardonnay but I think the piano bar is my favorite part.

Delicious food, a seasoned wait staff and a beautiful view of the lake outside. the wedge salad is a lighter and delicious interpretation of an old favorite. I always order the Thai shrimp even though I say I'll try something new. The food selection was good and the preparation was excellent. The service was top notch. The atmosphere on the outside Verandah overlooking the lake is great. We stopped by an hour before they opened for dinner due to conflicts with our reservation. Rather than accept our regretful cancellation they opened the kitchen early, ushered us to the best table on the verandah and prepared an absolutely delightful meal for us.
