"For $80 per person, this restaurant was a disappointment for Easter brunch. My wife and I were among the first to arrive, but instead of seating us at one of the restaurant's pleasant two-person booths, we were seated at a tiny circular card table about 20 inches across that did not have enough space for our plates and dishes. Even though the restaurant was still quite empty, we waited an eternity for a waiter to arrive. The coffee (decaf) was not hot. The service remained terribly slow throughout the meal. The food was quite good, but the terrible service and miserable little card table ruined the experience."

"Our wait staff, Larry was excellent. Attentive and ready to help us as we needed.
Food selection was good, a nice mix with a little something for everybody and a separate table of kid selections. However, food service left a lot to be desired. My wife and I both requested Omelets, she a normal omelet and myself an egg white omelet, instead of an omelet, we both got scrambled eggs with our additions mixed in with the scrambled eggs. Set a down tone for the food. While the rest of the food was good, it never recovered from a bad impression."

"Jason (our waiter) is by the far the best we have ever experienced (and we have dined round the world). When we come to On the Potomac we ask for him and set our dinning schedule around him.
The entire experience at On the Potomac is superb!
The chefs' selections are incredibly wonderful. The other night I chose the salmon. Just a note I do not like cooked salmon but the way the chef prepared that meal he restored my faith in knowing there are those who really know how to prepare a meal and the salmon was second to none!"

"Overall we had a great server and a very good meal. However things did get off to a right start when the manager informed us that we were late for our reservation and pointed out what was supposed to be our table, which was given away. He delivered it with this zinger, "8:20 is not 8 o'clock." when we went to check in and he wasn't seeing our reservation at first. He also included some nice eye rolls and saw our bottle of wine which we brought, which was a nice Napa Cab, and said "you know there is a $30 corking fee" which I knew of because I called before I went. There were plenty of other tables in the place and there just wasn't any reason for the "scolding" by him. Thankfully our amazing server made for a great night!"

"I was particularly dissapointed with the restaurant. My husband and I came for a weekend away, and had reviewed the website prior to arrival in terms of the menu. We were given a "Valentine" menu of which the choices were slim, and selection was awful. I didn't appreciate not being able to choose what we ate and being limited to just a few items. The pricing was absolutley outragous for the "Valentine" meal as well. We were expecting to pay a higher price considering the abmiance, and location, but not just under $300! The only notable part of the short evening spent here was the bar and the bartender. He was magnificant, and we enjoyed that very much."

"We read an article about the restaurant in a local paper and decided to try it. We were celebrating a special occasion and were not disappointed. The food was excellent. I had the pork chops and my partner had the chicken. Both meals were tasty, pleasantly presented, and simply great. We were very happy with the service and our choice. We've already recommended it to several of our friends."
