  • "Brunch, Lunch or Dinner you will not be disappointed! Cocktails are amazing and you will find yourself saying "OMG, this is good" after every bite."

  • "Food was SOOOOO good. short ribs melt off the bone. The Steak tartar was outstanding. Flavorful and well balanced. The signature chocolate salami dessert with shortbread, oh my! i think i may crave this for weeks to come. Service was outstanding. Attentive without being overbearing. A fun restaurant for a change of pace! Yum."

  • "Everything was delicious. Even though it was on the salty side, my partner enjoyed it. Our server was friendly and professional. No complaints."

  • "Yummy food for adults but very limited for kids ages 4-14. Waitress was aloof but concerned when we let her know about but allergies."

  • "This is the place! Great cocktails and a very interesting wine list add to the excellent food experience."

  • "i'll admit to being more than a little partisan when i declare my love for OP. these guys are great. i can take a friend for a special evening, my daughter and son-in-law to celebrate nothing in particular, or friends visiting from out-of-town to experience the best of the portland food scene. with some luck, you'll get corby on your table. she shares her passion for the experience and her love for the alchemy of the open kitchen. DO lean on jess or stacey for help with wine pairing and discoveries. i have never enjoyed learning so much a bottle at a time. i even stop by for hot dogs from the case for informal gatherings at home. it's brilliant."

  • "When I walk into some restaurants, I feel instantly welcome and appreciated. Not so at Olympic Provisions. The attitude was unfriendly from the first question as if she is so tired of having to tell people that if they didn't call ahead they can't eat here. Other questions throughout the evening were all perfectly legitimate but delivered with an air of resentment. I'm a really friendly guy, so I guess I just get frustrated when wait staff can't manage a smile. Try asking about dessert more invitingly rather than sounding like it would be a tremendous inconvenience to bring me anything. Your food is great, let's celebrate it together! The pork rib and the cheddar bread pudding were especially tasty."

  • "I had heard about Olympic Provisions shortly after moving to Portland. Expected it to be fantastic. By American standards, it was. By Portland standards, which has a much higher bar, it was ok. The food was good, the service was fantastic, the location was super cool. I love the interior of the space and the setting in the post-industrial neighborhood. OP sausage is really fantastic indeed, but nothing really mind blowing. This is not a negative review though, I enjoyed the food and the experience. I'd go back."

  • "Meta and cheeses were outstanding, unusual setting in the inner Eastside Industrial building but quite innovative use of space. Enjoyable all the way around, attentive service, helpful wait staff, great for sharing and experimenting."

  • "Olympic SE location is a bit of a find - its tucked away in inner SE, there's no huge signs for the restaurant, but folks do know about it. If you love meat, especially the cured kind, this is your place. I went for the Portland Dining Month Prix Fixe menu just to give the place a try. I was not disappointed - I had a nice wine pairing to go with the meal as well (the wine's a little expensive IMHO but you can say that about all eateries in PDX these days). I am definitely going back and bringing friends."

  • "Olympic Provisions had the best food I've had in years and the best food I've found in Portland! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would return often if I lived closer. :)"

  • "Everything was fabulous from the Italian charcuterie, to carrot salad, to white cheddar bread pudding! All the flavors were incredible. My husband got the short rib and the meat was so tender and juicy. Fabulous!!! We will definitely be coming again. The service was lovely and we had a great night!!"

  • "We were very happy with our meal, the pacing and our server. Started with chef's choice meat and cheesr plates. Small plates: scallop crudo, roasted brussel sprouts and endive and fuji apple salad. 2Large plates of short ribs and choucroute. This all was for 3 of us. And we had dessert and wine. Bold flavors and interesting combinations. Industrial setting. We were visiting our college sophmore who got a free meal out. A lovely family reunion."

  • "Portland has many terrific restaurants but tough to have excellent food, service and atmosphere but Olympic Provisions SE has it all. Warm greeting upon checking in and throughout the entire evening, the attentive service was always provided. The food portions just right even though I wanted more which is natural when the food is flavorful and fresh. This was my 1st visit but I'll be back again and will recommend to my friends which is how I found the place."

  • "We had a great dinner at Olympic Provisions. The short rib I ordered just fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. The service was great and they had a nice wine selection."

  • "Olympic Provisions is a GREAT restaurant! The food was amazing, the wine was great, and the atmosphere is really cool. The service lest a little bit to be desired, but they were really busy and I'm willing to give them a pass on it. We will definitely be back!"

  • "I love Olympic provisions! I've been a half-dozen times, and always enjoyed it. The food ranges from good to amazing*, and I have always had solid service. Nobody does meat better than these guys! *exception: the octopus salad. Tastes like it's 50% salt by weight. Only dish I've regretted ordering."

  • "The food was very good and well presented. It is an over the top meat centered place. They should add more salad options to counterbalance. The service was very professional."

  • "Great food, very hip. A tad on the spendy side, so more of a special occasion type place. But a must do restaurant"

  • "As with many people, I like to try new foods in new establishments. Heard about Olympic Provisions from a TV show before visiting Portland from southern California. The environs and service complimented the food perfectly. From the variety offered on the menu to the perfect serving portions to the unique-and-delicious fare, dining does not get much better than this. We also took away some of the prepared cured meat for gifts. Thank you for a memorable experience. Hope to find other venues that can measure up."

  • "I am half French and being born there, I'm always searching for the perfect salami & yes I found it here! We dined at the S.E. location. We started with Fried Almonds and Braised Octopus salad w/ potatoes. We were served a delicious bread with olive oil before our meal. The dress is casual and the atmosphere is as well. Don't expect a cozy dinner as the design is open and industrial, that being said, our dinner was a nice & quite one. I had the French Board and my husband had Choucroute Garnie. Both did not disappoint. Service was excellent and we were brought fresh silver with each course and the table discretely wiped clean as well. We had desert with my husband enjoying the cookie plate and I had the Affogoto."

  • "Very, very good. Very meat-centric, so I wouldn't really recommend this for vegetarians, but they would manage. Everything my group of four had was delicious. A little pricey but worth it for special occasions. Mmmmmm...chef's plate, pickled veggies, short rib and a great cocktail. So good!"

  • "Friday night dinner for 6. Olympic Provisions was great and 5/6 had the Beef Short Rib, which we all agreed was fabulous. Our table for six was easily accommodated and the wait staff was fantastic. We're considering our next "FND" @ the Thurman location."

  • "My wife and I visited Olympic Provisions on a Friday night before going out with friends. I made a reservation prior to our visit. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted immediately, and shown to our table. The server made contact quickly and took our drink orders. The drinks were great. We made our picks from the menu but we're concerned that we were ordering too much. The server confirmed our suspicions...made some suggestions that turned out great. Dinner was fantastic. Portions were good and taste, texture, etc. we're phenomenal. The Cab Franc wine by the glass...perfect. We ordered the Affogato dessert...out of this world. Thank you Olympic Provisions...we had a great experience and will be back."

  • "While I have been several times in the past(and eating their Salami and other cured meats since they hit the market), the other 5 in the group were newbies. The ambiance and food was excellent...the constant word they kept saying was 'wow'!"
    Dined on 1/9/2014
  • "The food was excellent and my bloody mary was too. My husband's martini was on the small side. We had a salami sampler tray, the endive salad, the dates, and the short ribs - all excellent with complex flavors. The affogato dessert was a rave too. The only downside to our experience was one of our servers and her snarky rude attitude - yes, one member of our group can be particular or ask weird questions, but your job is to be pleasant all around, not mimic her or be condescending and make us feel embarrassed and like you were being rude. Our other two servers (hostess and server) were pleasant and we had an overall good time."

  • "It was our first time at Olympic Provisions. I have had their Charcuteie (outstanding) and was highly anticipating dinner with friends. We started with the French Board - several types of sausage, terrine, rillette and house pickles. It was very good. I had the Beef Carpaccio for my second. It was to die for. I have not had Beef Carpaccio as good as this anywhere in Portland. For the main course, I chose the Choucroute Garnie which is essentially all their house made sausages in a warm saurerkraut. The Garnie did not disappoint. Someone at the table ordered the Braised Short Rib. I can not speak to the item, but he was happy with his choice. Overall, we loved Olympic Provisions. I keep telling all my friends about our "new" find."

  • "We arrived very early for our reservation, but were greeted graciously and seated immediately; it probably helped that it was early evening as the space was filled completely very soon after we arrived. The meats were good, as they should have been at a "meat" restaurant, but the sole with mussels and the wild mushroom ragout were also excellent. The service was unobtrusive, but consistently friendly and helpful and always available when needed. Good recommendations for wine pairings with a widely varying selection of entrees."

  • "Amazing charcuterie. Delicious handcrafted meats. Choose either Italian, French or Spanish style boards. We had Italian it was delicious. The entrees were all executed with finesse. The sauces and dressings were not heavy handed. Every protein cooked to perfection. We will be back!..it's a great foodie place!"

  • "Had a reservation for 6, but was able to bump it up to 8 only a few hours before the reservation by calling. The food and service were great. Menu is perfect for the meat lovers. Only complaint is staff wasn't very familiar with wine menu. The sommelier described every wine we asked about as smooth and very good, I was expecting a bit more detailed tasting notes. However, we just picked at random and were not disappointed."

  • "The food here was amazing - and I don't even eat mammals! The vegetarian soup option was way better than I expected, and the veggie entree was incredible. The disappointment while dining here was that we set reservations for 6 two weeks in advance for an important business lunch. They had the table set up in advance, which was great, but it took MORE THAN ONE AND A HALF hours for our party to get our meals. The appetizer came out after about 45 minutes and then it was a full 45 minutes until anyone got their sandwiches. In the meantime, several smaller parties - 2 to 4 - had sat down, eaten, and left! It was really embarrassing for us as our clients had to leave before even eating. I guess only go if you have 1-4 people."

  • "Hey, the food is great, notable wine list. If you are not picky, you should get a little of everything...totally worth the ride, trying things you have no had before or didn't like before....you may like their spin on it all. We made reservations about a month and a half in advance for a specific table, NOT by the back door, which is where we ended up. No apologies were made and when our reserved table opened they didn't offer to move us. So, it took away from our experience and we were crammed into a tiny area. So, be specific and double check before going in because they won't. Other than that, the food really is very good."
