I was late arriving on a busy Saturday night and the host staff still got me in without batting an eye. Server was extremely knowledgeable and helped me make up my mind on the several appetizers that I wanted to try, as well as giving me some helpful direction on a main course. We had a friend coming out for his first time ever to vegas with his girlfriend. We took them to olives for their first meal in vegas just hours after arriving and they where blown away. open table made it very easy for us to book a table online, we had been very busy coordinating shows and arrivals and other things to do it was great to have one very simple reservation! Impressed that the waitstaff paid attention to our note on the reservation request and surprised us with a complimentary dessert. Overall a great experience. Only negative was that one of the reasons we picked this restaurant was that we wanted outdoor seating. When we arrived we were told it would be an 1 1/2 hour wait for an outside table, but they were able to seat us by a window. There were several open tables outside throughout our entire meal (which we could see from our table) so we were disappointed that they were unable to seat us in our requested location. When we arrived, the hostess desk was busy but the staff there was very efficient. When we were seated, we were given just enough time to look over the drink menu before our server arrived. She was very attentive and helpful when asked questions about the menu. The wait time for our food was just right. The man who refilled our water was also very attentive. Overall, the entire staff was excellent as was the food. While the view is worth the high end prices, the service, preparation and quality of the food makes Olives worthwhile for a splurge or special occasion while visiting in Las Vegas. We tried the scallop dish which we recalled enjoying six or seven years ago when we last visited Olives. It was every bit as good. The quality of the scallops and accompanying sides involving shortribs and brussels sprouts were equally excellent. Service was attentive and friendly. This was after taking our entire wedding party and guests for our wedding dinner on April 21, 2012. The night before we were engaged, we also ate at Olive's. Clearly, it's very special to us. You can't go wrong with Olive's @ The Bellagio. The staff is amazing and the menu is defined well enough to provide a great offering without feeling inundated with choices. We recommend the Sea Bass.
