Diner Reviews
  • "My wife and I enjoyed 2 great meals and shared a nicely prepared salad and apple dessert. The BYOB option allowed us to enjoy a great meal at a reasonable price. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The location is very close to expressway and there was ample free street parking, always a plus in Chicago!"

  • "Oliver's cafe has been around for about a year in Bridgeport neighborhood and I just found it. We were delighted. As BYOB, with no corkage fee, the evening started out nicely. Kiana was an extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic server with strong positive feelings about the freshness, quality and character of every menu item we selected. Beginning with appetizers and small plates of a surprisingly tasty beef plantain, jumbo shrimp, pot stickers, hearts of Palm, and cream of mushroom soup, which was better than any I have had recently, we still had room for the mains of grilled portobellos and BBQ lamb chops. The special dessert is an apple egg roll, sort of a stand-up apple pie, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Next, the Wednesday special."

  • "We had a 6:30 weekday reservation and only two other tables were occupied which our server said was due to a Sox game. Food was good and staff very attentive."
