The portions are small in this trendy bistro. This chain has several key locations throughout Metro. We were dining at Yonge and Front. Ambience is pleasant and upbeat. Brunch choice is disappointingly small. Service is smooth and polished but and friendly as well. Skip the post meal coffees. All are overpriced especially a very small capuchino at $4.50. The non alcoholic drinks are expensive. Wine is fair value. Over easy eggs arrived sunnyside up, a major glitch. Brunch elsewhere would be a wiser and more economical choice.

I booked our reservation for the wrong day and they managed to still squeeze us within an hour of calling. This was special occasion, celebrating our 15th anniversary. I mentioned this to the reception staff when we entered. What I loved was the communication between the front of the house to our waiter along with others who served the food. They all knew it was a special dinner. I chose the restaurant b/c my wife has several dietary restrictions. The appetizers were great and were severed quickly. With respect to the main dishes, my wife did not particularly like her meal. This was stricken from the bill and the best part was that we never told our waiter, however the staff who picked up the plates communicated this to our waiter. Recognizing that this was special occasion and my wife was not too fulfilled with her meal, he decides to serve us a couple of glasses of Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. In addition he brings out a dessert platter that addressed all my wife's allergies, which absolutely made both our evenings. Another item that was on the house. To be clear, I'm not regular customer, nor was I expecting multiple "free-bees" for our dinner. Marco was our wait staff. It was obvious that he recognized that this was a special night and he absolutely saved the evening for me. I wish more restaurants would have this level of service! Thank you O&B! BTW my first choice was Jump restaurant and they had a private function so referred me to this restaurant. :)

We had a pleasant dining experience, before just walking across the street to our live show at the Sony Centre. Happy that they had vegan options, though soy milk or almond milk would have been good with the coffee. The knives were rather dull, a steak knife for the meat-eater would have helped. Service was very good.

I have dined here many times and always found the food very good. This visit I tired the Bento box and being Japanese found it lacking any flavour. The miso was good but the sushi rice was lacking the rice vinegar and sugar and the noodles had no flavour.

It doesn't matter that you want to stop for a coffee and chat, a brunch or a cocktail, this place is always friendly, warm and welcoming. The personnel is knowledgeable, attentive and the service is quick (for a place so close to Sony Center or CANSTAGE - that means a lot!). Being there on the same day with the Santa Claus parade and a Sesame Street show meant an "infusion" of happy children - but that didn't disturbed at all the place - kudos to all the team! A definitely "must try" for anybody else, and "will go again" for me!

Found this restaurant on-line due to proximity to ACC, as we were going to a Raptors game. We live in Oakville, and enjoyed the location there. This one was a quick walk from Union Station (and, by extension, the ACC) which was appreciated on a cold night. Warm and inviting inside, service was prompt and friendly. Food was great, good "recco's" from the server, and wine selection was good. Good mid-range pricing, but with the quality of high end establishments, many of which are owned by this same group. We will go again!

Have eaten at many of O&B restaurants over the years and typically they distinguish themselves with a consistently high level of service. Not sure this is still the case, based on this experience. Service was friendly, but it took some time to flag down a server throughout the evening.

We had high expectations, but were disappointed. I am gluten free and the options were quite limited and uninspired. The seafood pasta was very basic and there was very little seafood evident in it. I expect more from a downtown Toronto hot spot. My husband and I had much better meals at a basic family restaurant in Whitby earlier in the week. Acoustics were poor so we were upset to have a difficult time hearing our friends.

The dish I ate was very spicy and I did not like that I could not make substitutions on the side. However the service was very upbeat and jovial and within a reasonable time frame. I would come to this restaurant again with others for a special occassion, but try a different dish. The ban hi chicken burger is a great dish for people who like spicy cuisine.

This was our second family outing to O&B Cafe on Front and while we chose the spot for the location and because it's accessible for the grandparents, we came back for the food and the wonderful service. Brunch is very good here and lots of options to please everyone. The $4 ceasar was a hit this past weekend as was the Mac & Cheese with bacon. We celebrated my mother's 70th birthday here and everyone commented on what a terrific time they had. I definitely recommend this spot for brunch or a celebration! We will be coming back to try dinner soon :)

The service was excellent and our waiter was efficient, however the noise level was very high, and it was difficult to speak without raising one's voice. The food we ordered was a hit and miss. The roast chicken was excellent, the salmon was fair, but nothing spectacular. The fish and chips had far too much batter proportionate to the fish, and the french fries were average. We expected a more intimate dining experience from the outside look/decor, but it had a more 'cafeteria' atmosphere on the inside. I wouldn't recommend it, sadly. I wanted to love it, but it just fell flat.

We arrived early and planned to meet our friends in the bar area. Our reception at the front desk and in the bar area was underwhelming. No "hello, welcome" at all. I did not feel welcome. The bar waitress even commented that my friend's choice of wine was not "her" favorite. Are you kidding me? When my friends arrived and ordered drinks, it took a full 10-12 minutes before we realized that the drinks were poured, but just sitting on the bar. I went over to fetch them, but the bartender called over our waitress to deliver them. She said, "sorry for the wait, but I got involved in a conversation with someone at the other end of the bar"!! When we eventually moved into the dining area, our server there did a great job.

We have never been disappointed by any of the O&B restaurants. The Café and Grill was no exception. We decided to go for dinner and having already been here before we were expecting nothing but the best. That is exactly what we got. The front of house was very friendly and greeted us within seconds. Even though we were 15 minutes early we were promptly seated. The service was excellent as always and so was the food. The staff really knew their way around the menu which is what i expected but it is definitely a good thing to see. Our server was amazing. She was very friendly right from the start and made us feel very warm and welcome. I'm not a foodie so i sometimes get nervous going to a fancy restaurant but i wasn't made to feel like that.

Within a good walking distance from the Princess of Wales Theatre and very close to the GO Station, this is the perfect place for an early dinner after the performance. As it was late afternoon, we had a light meal: spinach salad, lemon ricotta ravioli and panna cotta for desert. I highly recommend the ricotta-stuffed ravioli in a light roasted tomato sauce. The vanilla panna cotta in a rhubarb soup was light and delicious. Nice, casual atmosphere.

We visited on a Saturday night and the service was incredibly slow. We waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged by our server...then another 10 minutes to get our wine. By the time he was ready to take our order we only had time for an appetizer....no mains..ridiculous. We had a concert to get to. We thought we could have a meal inside of an hour and 15...but it was not possible here..

Manager apologized then comped all of our meals. Two desserts we asked for were also gone. Menu meals we ordered were just average. Waiter was very good and tried hard to make a bad situation positive. Not likely to go back on next visit.

I have been in this restaurant several times during lunch and I've never had any issues. Thanksgiving dinner, however, was an agony. First, it was too cold - I believe they weren't able to adjust the thermostat accordingly. Second, the service was horribly lacking. The area we were in was packed - all tables were occupied and there was just that one person taking orders and exchanging (looong) pleasantries with the customers. The food was good, but not really exceptional. I would recommend the place for business lunches only.

I made a reservation a week in advance for the Thanksgiving dinner. Upon arrival, we were told that the Thanksgiving dinner was completely sold out, at 8:00 pm no less. The host apologized and sat us down at an aisle table, at which point the waiters behind me then collided and spilled coffee everywhere. I asked again about the Thanksgiving dinner, and was told that some patrons were ordering two dinners per person, the reason why the dinner was no longer available. It would have been nice if 1) Dinner was limited to one per person and 2) I was notified in advance that the Thanksgiving dinner was no longer available. We instead settled for mediocre pasta, which was far from satisfying given the occasion.
