I booked a business dinner. The Sunday Special was Roast Beef, and given my company was from the UK.. it seemed like the perfect fit. My guest has a acute allergy to mushrooms so we confirmed there were no mushrooms in the meal - and explained the seriousness of the question - that it isn't a casual preference is was a medical imperative. The meal arrived with meat, mashed potatoes and veg but no gravy. It was dry. We hailed the waiter and asked if we couldn't please have gravy. He said 'no'. The gravy has mushrooms in it - a fact which would have changed the selection of dinners. My guest left his food unfinished. The waiter unapologetic, and unhelpful. No one wanted a scene so we left hungry.

Beautiful dining & bar areas, good wine list, decent service, excellent burger and jerk chicken pizza. The folded mushroom flatbread however left much to be desired, it has no business being on a dinner menu let alone an O&B dinner menu. You guys could do much better!

I've dined on several occasions at this location and usually the food is very good however this time I found the hostess had her nose in the air. the restaurant was nearly empty, yet my guest and I were seated near the washrooms and we had to request a better table. Also I barely ate my pasta dish because it was way too salty and just not edible. Our waiter was the only saving grace of the meal. He was very professional and polite. After this experience I doubt I will be returning. I enjoy dinners out at least twice a week and a lot of other excellent options are out there

We went to O&B to celebrate a colleagues birthday. The food was delicious and the service was excellent and very quick. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to eat. I would definitely make reservations. Open Table is the best way to do it.

My girlfriend and I went to o and b on a Friday night. The restaurant was noisy and the service was terrible. Our waiter was forgetful and was actually faking an Australian accent. The food was acceptable though it took a while firstly to get our order taken and then once it was the wait for our food was a further 45 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and certainly won't be back myself.

The food was good but it took over and an hour and a half to get a Caesar salad appetizer and a pasta main course! It would have been less annoying if the server hadn't said "kitchen backed up because of the show". Really? You aren't prepared for shows? And what about the people around us who were seated with or after us, and were served and finished dinner well before we saw ours? We were offered a free dessert after the show, in lieu of the 25 minutes of the show we missed. Since neither of us wanted dessert, that wasn't an ideal solution. O & B, been a fan for years and know you can do better!

It was my first trip to Toronto and I booked through open table. They called to confirm the reservation, which is the only restaurant to do so thus far, when using open table. I loved the atmosphere, the host & hostess were welcoming and sat us promptly. I'm sorry that I don't remember our server's name, but was was outstanding. Very knowledgeable about the menu as we had many questions, quick with our orders and very entertaining. We had a fantastic time there and I will gladly return only next visit!

I enjoyed everything we had on our visit except the mac and cheese. I am not sure how one can make a "really bad tasting" mac and cheese. But I had their roasted chicken and it was very flavorful. Also, their saffron caesar cocktail was just fantastic. Overall, the noise level is a bit bothersome (the acoustics of the space was not friendly). It is a good restaurant for business parties or meetings, not for a romantic night out for for amazing food if you want to pay that much.

Renee was a gem. She was sweet, courteous, always smiling, made great recommendations, not just 'it depends on you'. She was knowledgeable and paid the perfect amount of attention to our table. The drinks were very tasty although a tad bit on the pricey side. We had fish tortilla tacos to start. Very good, fish was delicate, good portion of fish. Dinner was the bouillabaisse, delicious broth and seafood - could do with less salt though. Veal rib-eye with Mac & Cheese. The veal was so tender and delicious with the chutney, and the famous Mac & Cheese was quite good too. Had the appetizer portion grilled calamari, delicious, and curry muscles, also great. For dessert we shared the carrot cake and chocolate torte, yum.

Made reservations for a private table, was put near a party of 15. So that was disappointing. 2 bathrooms were completely out of toilet paper, it was only 7:30 and not busy, long weekend. Food was tasty but overpriced for pasta and veggies with steak were not done enough. No quality check from server either. As a restaurant owner myself, was disappointed with the experience and wouldn't return myself. Sad as it was a birthday celebration and with so many wonderful restaurants in the city, I guess I chose the wrong one. The server was friendly and attentive otherwise.

I got a little lost coming here. I thought the main entrance was through the office building entrance on Yonge St. (it's actually along Front St.) so I went through this entrance and there weren't really any signs directing me to where the hostess was, so I actually had to ask a server to help me. Once I actually got to the hostess, everything was great. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. I normally hate sitting in the patio but it was actually really nice and relaxing. Our waiter wasn't overbearing but paid enough attention to us and seemed to be available any time we needed something. I ordered the Mac & Cheese and it was okay. I've had better homemade but it was decent enough. Overall good experience.

The restaurant was not busy so the ambiance was a bit lacking;it is very large and well lit so not cozy if that's what you are looking for. Menu has something for everyone and there is a daily special. Sunday's was a roast beef dinner for $23; very reasonable. We started with a hummus/flat bread variety platter which was varied and delicious - large enough for 2 and possibly 3. Mains were 2x Roast Beef, 1 lamb and 1 Tofu salad. The lamb was a good size portion of thinly sliced lamb - I could not finish it since I had shared the starter. The Roast Beef served with yorkshire pudding was a thick chunk of steak which was unexpected so it didn't have presentation appeal but was good. The tofu salad ok. Excellent attentive service.

As a frequent customer to O&B and their various restos (Jump, Biff's etc) I have been really disappointed with the O&B at Yonge and Front the last two times I have gone for a meal. The food has come out cold and at this last visit the service was somewhat cold and minimalist at best and simply a less than pleasant experience. I would choose numerous other restos in that are before returning to O&B Front street again.
