We have never been disappointed by any of the O&B restaurants. The Café and Grill was no exception. We decided to go for dinner and having already been here before we were expecting nothing but the best. That is exactly what we got. The front of house was very friendly and greeted us within seconds. Even though we were 15 minutes early we were promptly seated. The service was excellent as always and so was the food. The staff really knew their way around the menu which is what i expected but it is definitely a good thing to see. Our server was amazing. She was very friendly right from the start and made us feel very warm and welcome. I'm not a foodie so i sometimes get nervous going to a fancy restaurant but i wasn't made to feel like that.

I am never disappointed by the Oliver & Bonnacini restos. This one is no exception. The drinks are excellent, as well as the plates and they are accommodating if you are looking for gluten free options. The place can be on the pricey side, but it is worth the price.

Within a good walking distance from the Princess of Wales Theatre and very close to the GO Station, this is the perfect place for an early dinner after the performance. As it was late afternoon, we had a light meal: spinach salad, lemon ricotta ravioli and panna cotta for desert. I highly recommend the ricotta-stuffed ravioli in a light roasted tomato sauce. The vanilla panna cotta in a rhubarb soup was light and delicious. Nice, casual atmosphere.

We visited on a Saturday night and the service was incredibly slow. We waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged by our server...then another 10 minutes to get our wine. By the time he was ready to take our order we only had time for an appetizer....no mains..ridiculous. We had a concert to get to. We thought we could have a meal inside of an hour and 15...but it was not possible here..

  • Thanksgiving weekend in Toronto

Reserved on line the day before for the thanksgiving dinner.(7:45) Waiter offered turkey din., came back saying they had run out. Table beside us in same situation. Asked for manager. Manager apologized then comped all of our meals. Two desserts we asked for were also gone. Menu meals we ordered were just average. Waiter was very good and tried hard to make a bad situation positive. Not likely to go back on next visit.

I have been in this restaurant several times during lunch and I've never had any issues. Thanksgiving dinner, however, was an agony. First, it was too cold - I believe they weren't able to adjust the thermostat accordingly. Second, the service was horribly lacking. The area we were in was packed - all tables were occupied and there was just that one person taking orders and exchanging (looong) pleasantries with the customers. The food was good, but not really exceptional. I would recommend the place for business lunches only.

I made a reservation a week in advance for the Thanksgiving dinner. Upon arrival, we were told that the Thanksgiving dinner was completely sold out, at 8:00 pm no less. The host apologized and sat us down at an aisle table, at which point the waiters behind me then collided and spilled coffee everywhere. I asked again about the Thanksgiving dinner, and was told that some patrons were ordering two dinners per person, the reason why the dinner was no longer available. It would have been nice if 1) Dinner was limited to one per person and 2) I was notified in advance that the Thanksgiving dinner was no longer available. We instead settled for mediocre pasta, which was far from satisfying given the occasion.

This was my second dinner experience here with a friend. It was a Thursday night and since the bar side was jumping with suits and so loud (both with the DJ music and people drunkenly shout-talking at each other) we asked to be seated on the quieter side. We shared the goat cheese spinach artichoke dip--it was a little too heavy on the spinach and not enough of the two IMO. My friend ordered the Atlantic salmon and I ordered the herb roasted lamb--both to order, perfectly done and delicious. Service was brisk and attentive. We also ordered 3 mini desserts to share: the carrot cake, panna cotta, and trifle. Although the other two were very good, the trifle we both agreed was the best. Perfectly portioned desserts after a protein-heavy meal.

I booked a business dinner. The Sunday Special was Roast Beef, and given my company was from the UK.. it seemed like the perfect fit. My guest has a acute allergy to mushrooms so we confirmed there were no mushrooms in the meal - and explained the seriousness of the question - that it isn't a casual preference is was a medical imperative. The meal arrived with meat, mashed potatoes and veg but no gravy. It was dry. We hailed the waiter and asked if we couldn't please have gravy. He said 'no'. The gravy has mushrooms in it - a fact which would have changed the selection of dinners. My guest left his food unfinished. The waiter unapologetic, and unhelpful. No one wanted a scene so we left hungry.

Beautiful dining & bar areas, good wine list, decent service, excellent burger and jerk chicken pizza. The folded mushroom flatbread however left much to be desired, it has no business being on a dinner menu let alone an O&B dinner menu. You guys could do much better!

I've dined on several occasions at this location and usually the food is very good however this time I found the hostess had her nose in the air. the restaurant was nearly empty, yet my guest and I were seated near the washrooms and we had to request a better table. Also I barely ate my pasta dish because it was way too salty and just not edible. Our waiter was the only saving grace of the meal. He was very professional and polite. After this experience I doubt I will be returning. I enjoy dinners out at least twice a week and a lot of other excellent options are out there

My girlfriend and I went to o and b on a Friday night. The restaurant was noisy and the service was terrible. Our waiter was forgetful and was actually faking an Australian accent. The food was acceptable though it took a while firstly to get our order taken and then once it was the wait for our food was a further 45 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and certainly won't be back myself.

The food was good but it took over and an hour and a half to get a Caesar salad appetizer and a pasta main course! It would have been less annoying if the server hadn't said "kitchen backed up because of the show". Really? You aren't prepared for shows? And what about the people around us who were seated with or after us, and were served and finished dinner well before we saw ours? We were offered a free dessert after the show, in lieu of the 25 minutes of the show we missed. Since neither of us wanted dessert, that wasn't an ideal solution. O & B, been a fan for years and know you can do better!

I enjoyed everything we had on our visit except the mac and cheese. I am not sure how one can make a "really bad tasting" mac and cheese. But I had their roasted chicken and it was very flavorful. Also, their saffron caesar cocktail was just fantastic. Overall, the noise level is a bit bothersome (the acoustics of the space was not friendly). It is a good restaurant for business parties or meetings, not for a romantic night out for for amazing food if you want to pay that much.
