Diner Reviews
  • "I bought a client here for dinner and was a bit frustrated with gaining access to the hotel. We learned after 20 minutes of trying to get to the building we were told that we needed to go through the long term parking lot. We were frustrated before we ever arrived. Once we entered the Hyatt Hotel Lobby the Olive Press was off to the left. It was a nice decorated, open space. The staff was terrific, the food was good but average. We both had the salad with chicken and had cocktails and wine that we thought were over-priced. We didn't bother to have dessert. It's a convenient place to dine if you are a Hyatt guest, but I wouldn't bother going there is I wasn't staying on airport property."

  • "While the menu is a little limited, the food was delicious. Ample portions, well priced and great combinations of flavors."

  • "I have eaten there over the years and have found the food to be consistently good. On the most recent visit I was surprised to find the interior of the restaurant stripped down that reminded me more like a cafeteria. I'm not sure what the intention is. If you want a good meal convenient to the Pittsburgh airport the Olive Press works well. If you are looking for atmosphere go somewhere else."

  • "The restaurant was a bit dated and energetic with little ambiance. However, the food and service were excellent. Steak was prepared to order. Brooke was a very congenial and attentive waitress."

  • "We had a late evening reservation for Valentine's Day. There were 3 tables with 2 or more small children whose parent's seemed unable or unwilling to control. The menu was half what was shown on the menu online so the things that most interested us were actually not available. The hostess, while going from table to table to see if there was anything she could do, spent 5-10 minutes talking to guests who were trying to eat their meals. We ended up only ordering appetizers and drinks and we were still there for almost two hours. Slow service! The room has no warmth to it, decor-wise. It is just a big open beige room. The bar area was packed and quite loud."
