  • "The restaurant is beautiful, the service is great but the food is bad! Two out of four of us had major dish errors. My fish special which was supposed to come with a potato crust came with the crust burned to a char so I had to send it back and ask for a new crust. The waiter assured me that it should take no more than 5 minute but it turned out to be 30. When the dish was brought back it was completely remade and now completely bland with the exception of the sauce which was now so horribly bitter it was unedible. Another guest with food allergies simply asked that her pork chop be unsalted. The first time it came it was loaded with salt. The second time it wasn't but after she waited for half an hour it was pink and underdone. Not good!"

  • "Nice little restaurant in downtown Morristown. The lobster mac, scallops and pan seared salmon all done perfectly and all delicious. BYOB. Can get a little noisy from time to time depending on the crowd (two birthday dinners) but not a deterrent. Will definitely go back."

  • "I went to Olive Lucy this past weekend with a group of 6 girls for a bachellorette dinner. The wait staff was awesome, specifically our server Maggie, and the manager Stephen accommodated our every need. The decor is classy and absolutely adorable. The food was fantastic and we will all be back to eat there again."

  • "When making reservation never told its BYOB 1/3 of the Muscles Fri Diabalo were unopened ( Don't eat unopened muscles ) waiter agreed and did nothing Two steaks ordered 1 medium, 1 medium rare. Both well done again waiter told nothing done All in all a bad expirence"

  • "I've eaten at this establishment many times and have always enjoyed the food and the ambiance. This was the first time, with a 6:45pm reservation, that I found the noise level intolerable. It was difficult to have a nice dinner when a group of 12 were howling nearby. I told our waitress, but nothing was done. People who feel the need to scream across the table should do so in their own homes. It was rude and disrespectful to other diners in the restaurant."

  • "I'm a bit of a food snob because I live in NYC. However, Olive & Lucy's has the potential to be great!! The decor is gorgeous and I love the open kitchen concept. The menu is my issue. While the food was pretty good and had decent portions, the menu options are all over the place and quite random. My meal was fine but I tried my friends garlic shrimp and the sauce was just oil. The bread was amazing!! I think we had three baskets. I love that its BYOB!! I'll go back for sure."

  • "Olive Lucy is our go-to restaurant in Morristown - a diverse but manageable menu, including well-prepared Italian and Portugese dishes; cool and clean atmosphere; and a friendly wait staff. I recently ordered a special seafood pasta dish that was full of shrimp and crab in a tasty wine and garlic sauce. I would have preferred the pasta a bit more al dente with a bit less sauce, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. As a BYO, you can bring or order wine from a local shop that delivers to your table! It's a shame there is no outdoor patio to provide one more seating option."

  • "Our experience was excellent from the moment we walked in the door - friendly hostess, attentive service, great ambience. It's BYOB, who doesn't love that? Our waiter had out bottle of wine turned into a yummy pitcher of sangria shortly after we were seated. And the food! The food was fantastic! I'd highly recommend the shrimp sliders appetizer. The stuffed chicken & seafood fra diavlo were excellent as well. Flavorful and cooked to perfection. An added bonus, the owner came to our table and offered us dessert & coffee on the house (hostess must have told him it was our anniversary, but still a very nice gesture)! We'll definitely be back & we'll be bringing friends!"

  • "My husband and I dined there this past Saturday night. I had the salmon special and it was delicious, however, it was a tad on the drier side for my preference but still delicious! My husband had the Mariscada with the blackened linguini. It was phenomenal and I plan to go back there soon so I can order that. The restaurant is a BYO and they offer sangria (made with your wine) so bring a bottle and have them make you a red or white sangria. We had the red and really liked it. If we knew this in advance we probably would have brought a cheaper bottle. The restaurant offers a great atmosphere. The ladies room was very clean and tastefully done. The manger Steven was very kind and welcoming. We definitely recommend!"

  • "The atmosphere is great. The host was gracious and welcoming, I love the decor and the staff is really friendly and do a great job. The food was terrific. Beginning with the great warm rolls and butter, the appetizers were very good, and the entrees were great. (My date had Chicken Rolletini and i had the Pork Chop.) The fact that it is a BYOB is also GREAT. So we had a great meal with appetizers and shared a dessert for less than $100. I highly recommend Olive Lucy's."

  • "I retried this restaurant for a second time. My first time I went when it was brand new. I thought it was OK. Since it's been around for a while now, I thought I would try it again with other friends. Again, it was OK. The portion sizes are small and a little on the pricey side. The food is good and our server was attentive. Parking is a huge problem but it is a BYO! Olive Lucy's is definitely worth a try, but not sure I will be back."

  • "Server said there was s new chef with lots of menu ideas. We ordered the caprese salad to start. Skimpy for $10. Then wife and I each had the short ribs, which is their house specialty. Robs were good but mashed potatoes were instant, at least they tasted that way. Ir came with one large and very bland broccoli stalk. Portion seemed very small in comparison to what we remember. We left feeling yhis was an overpriced meal even after 10% discount. Sadly , we don't plan on returning anytime soon. It was one of our favorites."

  • "This was our first visit to Olive Lucy's Kitchen Table and we were not disappointed. Somewhat surprised that the restaurant was virtually empty at 6:00pm. Our server Mike was very attentive and more than willing to explain the menu. The food was very good even though we tried some tried but true selections, balsamic calamari, short ribs and stuffed chicken breast. Let's face it, if they can't get the basics right how likely are they to meet expectations on the reach dishes? We will definitely be back to this lovely addition to the Morristown dining scene!"

  • "This restaurant does everything right! From the moment you walk in the door you are made to feel welcome and a part of the family. The service is attentive and friendly. The menu is interesting full of delicious sounding things that you want to try. It makes it very hard to choose! We were there last Saturday night and it was a full house. Our food was just wonderful! We had their paella and mariscada. YUMMY! Very happy that this restaurant opened its doors so close to home. "

  • "It was our 1st and last visit to Olive Lucy's. We were there for a celebration for my teen Lucy, who was so excited that her name was on the restaurant. It started badly when we told the host about her name and he couldn't have cared less. Several in our party don't eat meat or shellfish and there was almost nothing on the menu for us to order. Then our food took over 30 minutes to come and our waiter was nowhere to be seen to ask about it or explain. Some of our meals were very good, but my 12-year-old, who doesn't eat meat, ordered the penne vodka without sausage and it came with sausage. He's never had sausage because we don't eat pork so he didn't even realize and ate half of it, at which point it was too late to send back. "

The manager was welcoming and apologetic that the service was slow (it really wasn't) and came to check in several times. The decor was beautiful and tastefully modern and the food was divine. Being short staffed is an issue in ANY restaurant, and everything possible was done, in addition to complimentary dessert & coffee. We will definitely be back!"
