A word from Olive & Ivy Restaurant & Marketplace
Dining under the shady trees on Olive and Ivy’s massive patio feels more like Southern France than southern Scottsdale. If you are looking for pomp and circumstance of quiet elegance, try the signature private-dining venue, the Stamp Room. If it’s night-life, we have you covered twice with the outdoor lounge and bar. You’ll enter your own little Mediterranean world the first moment you set foot in Olive & Ivy.

For some, the day simply doesn’t start unless it starts at The Marketplace at Olive & Ivy. Scents of fresh-baked muffins, croissants, and dark rich espresso lure passersby in from the quiet sidewalk. They read the paper. They sip squeezed orange juice. They toast the morning. Help yourself start every day the right way at the Marketplace.

The food was great, however the service was a little hit or miss. It was our first time at this resturant, we had to ask for the bread when we saw another table get it, and my kale salad never arrived. The food presentation, and taste was wonderful, but we were looking for a slow relaxing meal, and even indicated that, however our food arrived very quickly after we had ordered, and we felt like we were a little rushed thru our leisurely evening we had wanted. The bruschetta trio we choose for an appetizer was amazing, and the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin with the sweet potato hash was the favorite at the table. We will definitely be back to try this restaurant again, and hope for a little better attention to detail by our server

To me, a restaurant needs good food and delightful ambience to score highly. Olive and Ivy provides both. Our waiter, Chris was gracious, efficient and fun. The menu offerings are varied and even adventurous. Everything we ordered was great except for the sangria. It was a bit like glorified fruit juice. The food, however, was outstanding, served in a timely manner and delicious. Olive and Ivy definitely has a place on our "favorites" list.

We've been enjoying Olive and Ivy for years and am pleased to say they remain solid. The food is solid although not quite up to the standards of the their first year of opening. The wine list has slipped for sure. This restaurant is sliding hard to the noisy casual. O & I has always been energetic but now it is just noisy with annoying music that is played tooo loud for dinner conversation. FOOTNOTE: We made our OpenTable reservation weeks in advance for a table outside. We were called by staff the day before to say they could not accomodate an outside table because-- people who CALL in for reservations outside have priority over OpenTable reservations. Clearly, this restaurant puts the OpenTable folks on a 2nd class list.

We ate at Olive & Ivy recently on a trip to Scottsdale. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we returned for dinner again on our last night in town. The restaurant is in a large shopping center, but you'd never know it once indoors. It has a great outdoor patio as well as a beautiful interior. Parking is free in the nearby covered parking garages or there is also valet parking right outside. The food was great and the atmosphere was outstanding. I highly recommend it for a dinner when you visit Scottsdale or Phoenix.

Great menu. Indoor and outdoor seating are two different worlds. We wanted to sit outdoors as a table of 4 cannot really talk inside given the acoustics. Didn't book early enough and sat inside. Had a great time and will make sure to call ahead and get an outdoor table next time.

Staff at Olive and Ivy made our anniversary dinner memorable. They were attentive but gave us the space needed; the right balance was provided. The food is excellent, due in large part to the added ingredients to each dish. The bacon covered dates were amazing.

We had never been to Olive and Ivy before and decided to try it with our daughter in town from Chicago. The hostess ladies were more than sweet and accommodating and could not have been nicer! The bar patio is very inviting and cozy and the dining patio is equally as enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed our waiter, Sterling. He was very attentive and suggested 2 appetizers which were outstanding. He also helped with our entree selections and helped make our evening very enjoyable! We will definitely return and would like to thank Sterling again!

5 of us 40-something college girlfriends, enjoying an annual weekend trip, really enjoyed the delicious food, energetic ambiance, great wine selection and overall dining experience at Olive and Ivy! We all come from "foodie" parts of the country (San Francisco, LA and Austin) and we all thought very highly of our experience at this restaurant. We loved the fresh and innovative food preparations!

Not an expansive menu .... choices are limited but lean toward Mediterranean. Pleasant ambience but DJ music that night not really appropriate for the dinner hour. I ordered a Dubonnet but it was not available. The aperitifs were not even on the drinks list so I settled for a Campari and soda. The server was most accommodating and seemed embarrassed that the available aperitifs were rather limited. Especially since aperitif imbibing is customary in those European countries surrounding the Med. sea. Food was tasty, especially the chicken scallopini and it was also a generous portion. We ordered the stuffed dates for an appetizer and they were delicious. Would return again and perhaps enjoy the patio the next time.

Had dinner during restaurant week and everything was perfect. The bacon and date appetizer had a great balance of salt, spice and sweet. The scallops with creamy corn polenta were seared perfectly and the bing cherry crisp was a great balance of tart and sweet with a firm but not heavy crumble. I would have this meal there again as soon as next week.

I've eaten here before and had a good experience, today was just average and even below average in service. We are two friends eating locally - wanting a nice lunch/brunch before a matinee. We were seated outside because fall is finally in the air, but our server was slow to catch on that we had a time frame in mind. Not a hurried one, we had an hour and a half, but at the rate he was moving, we might have been hurried at the end. The food was decent, the wine a good pairing, but really nothing to rave about for the price.

We did a bunch of research on top-rated restaurants in Old Scottsdale before making a series of reservations. Among the 5 restaurants that we tried, Olive and Ivy was our favorite! It had a wonderful atmosphere - whether dining indoors or out. The food was absolutely fantastic - the peanut butter pudding with chocolate granache and cinnamon/peanut butter cookie is a MUST! The server and service was outstanding and the seating was such that you felt you had some privacy and could enjoy your "space", while taking in a wonderful view of the water (which there is not much of in AZ). Lovely place - great feel!!

Went for Saturday brunch with my husband and daughter. Our server was super accommodating, including helping order something off the normal "lunch" menu that's not typically served during brunch. He was very sweet with our four-year-old, as well. The food is always consistently amazing (it's why we always come back!) and today was no exception. Highly recommend their cinnamon rolls- big enough to share and very reasonably priced. Only drawback was the table of women next to us who got loud after having a few too many mimosas. Otherwise, we had a great meal and can't wait to go back!
