Quality of food is very good, particularly the specials. Overall service is very good, however, imporovement is noted: host/hostess could be a little more polish, ie. instead of saying, 'do you want the wine list?' how about, 'here's our wine list should you wish to order or something like that. While we appreciate the food coming out at the same time, the server could politely introduce the food to each guest.

Food and service was great Our only issue was that they initially tried to seat us in the bar area at a high top We advised the hostess that the table was unacceptable as we had made a reservation for the restaurant After a brief wait we were brought to a table in the main part of the restaurant The bar area was noisy and this area was very quiet and relaxed We will definitely return but we will make sure that we indicate on the reservation form that we do not want to be seated in the bar area

This was one of our first nights out after having twins and wanted to go somewhere local. We had never tried Olivadi but heard great things. The menu was very appealing and the service was FANTASTIC!! The staff was incredibly friendly and when there was a slight problem with my order, not only did they quickly rectify it, they sent me home with enough for lunch the next day. Customer service at this establishment is A+ and we can't wait to go back for another date night. I should also note that we had such a wonderful experience that we bought a gift card on the spot to give to my father-in-law for Father's Day because we know he will enjoy it as much as we did.

This was an unexpected delight - a real gem of a restaurant. We took a friend here for a birthday lunch, and sat outside. The food was delicious, and our waiter was fabulous. He brought us a refreshing panna cotta for dessert ....(on the house!) and he sang Happy Birthday with us. It was a lovely meal.

First of all, the service was excellent--first time I have felt that way about any restaurant in a long time. Perfect amount of attention, knowledge, and professionalism. I was very surprised by the food--from the white bean/olive mixture that starts the meal, to the gnocchi (light in a vibrant sauce) to salmon that was crunchy from pistachio, nicely flavored from horseradish, and unctuous in the middle. Very good food--a real surprise in the suburbs of Boston. I also appreciated that you could get smaller portions of some menu items so that you can try more things and not have overtired tastebuds.

We enjoyed our meal, as usual, but our waiter left much to be desired. Drinks delivered were not the ones two of our table ordered and requests for water/bread came after much delay. Also, there was some confusion regarding our prior request for certain tables (we've been to this restaurant several times and like to sit in a particular area. Upon leaving, we informed the manager about the mix-up with drinks, the lax waiter, etc. His response was a feelble "sorry about that." Altho' we will return (the food is always good), we were not satisfied with the service.

We've eaten at Olivadi's before and have liked it but we were VERY disappointed with this visit -- our pricey (for what we got) entrees were swimming in oil, and our waitress went AWOL once she took our order (she was friendly at first but after another helper brought our meals, our waitress never stopped by to ask us how our food was and was clearly surprised to see how much food we left on our plates when she stopped by to ask if we wanted dessert). Even though she gabbed with other patrons, our waitress never asked about our dessert and tried to take our bill while we were still eating (and hadn't yet even looked at our bill). Not good form at all for a mature server; we won't be returning to Olivadi's anytime soon

In short, the food was very good but the service AWFUL. First, our server never introduced herself (the name Lisa was on our tab), did not tell us about specials until we were ready to order. At that time, we asked her not to rush service but our appetizer and salads were brought out simulaneously!! To make matters worse, Lisa mixed up the two beef entrees on the menu and brought me the wrong one! The food was tasty, though the sides were a bit greasy. After dinner, my husband asked the bus person if cappuccino was on the menu and instead of getting our waitress, she brought one cappuccino to my husband and did not ask me if I wanted dessert or coffee! It was as though the staff had not been trained at all. Very disappointing experien

We dined on a Sunday night which was very quiet for the dining room. However, the bar area was quite busy. It is set up for more informal dining with several high tables and a long table. A pleasant spot for an early evening drink and snack. The bar menu is interesting and reasonably priced. Our meals were very good. We shared a calamari which was crisp and tasty although the promised spicy tomato dipping sauce was very bland. My stuffed pork chop was a delight, oozing, as promised, with fontina cheese and accompanied by crisp asparagus and a potato lasagna. My wife had the crusted salmon, and our friends enjoyed dishes also; one of scampi, the other veal. Service was attentive but not overbearing. We will be back.

This was our second visit to Olivadi. We had late afternoon reservations for Easter Sunday and were seated promptly. The restaurant is beautiful, high-end in decor and I think a wonderful venue for a special occasion. As with our first visit, the food was fabulous and the service impeccable. The pork loin with apples and onions was delicious. The ravioli as well as the stuffed pork chops were throughly enjoyed by my companions. The menu is unique and varied.. the wine/drink list as well. The waitstaff is attentive, though not intrusive and you are not rushed through your meal. Overall a very gracious dining experience.

My husband and I visited Olivadi for the first time this past weekend. Overall we were happy with our experience. The bar area was large and modern and looked like a fun spot to hang out with friends and have cocktails. The restaurant was very clean and modern as well. I liked the atmosphere, it was relaxing and relatively quiet. The food was pretty good. We had eggplant rollatini for an appetizer which was the best thing we ate. I got the bolognese which was good, but Bon Caldo in Norwood does it better. My husband got the salmon which was good, not great. We shared a chocolate ganache desert which the manager gave us for free, not sure why, but a very nice gesture which we appreciated. Overall, I'd go back and try it again.

Nice presentation, served hot, too heavy on the starch accompaniment, drinks were perfect. It was our first visit to Olivadi and overall we were pleased with the experience. The food and service were very good, although there was not much privacy in the open dining area. The bar was busy, although fairly small. Management was generous in allowing a tasting when I inquired as to the source of their tomatoes for their tomato and mozzarella salad (which was delicious). This is a nice restaurant in the Metrowest suburbs to try and we will likely be going back again sometime.

Decent atmosphere and decor. We were seated in the main dining area. The restauarant was not very busy for 7 on a Saturdy night. Shrimp and prosciutto appetizer tasted was overcooked. I had the stuffed pork chop, which was a good sized portion, but bland. My wife had the veal lasagna, which was tender veal buried in tomatoes and cheese. More like a veal parm. We had the cannoli for dessert, which was very good. Overall, ok on service and selection, but our menu choices were nothing special for the price. I understand that the orignal chef has since left, and it shows. The menu tries to appear trendy, but our choices were bland.

The evening was good initially, but progressively worsened. Previously, we had been there for New Year's Eve, and it was quite good. This time, however, the booth we had was too small, tight, in the rear of the dining room. They quite nicely accomodated us in the lounge, quite a good alternative, and were content, looking over the menu and ordering drinks. Upon ordering, we found to,our dismay, that the choices we wanted were all gone! No pork chops, cod, and a few other items weren't available. There had been a weekend special for Valentine's Day and by Sunday, things were sparse. It was still enjoyable, but not as we had expected, for sure.

Dining experience was excellent - service superb, food outstanding - only comment on location of table - near kitchen opening and across from large table - created a noisy environment from both sides. Restaurant was accomadating - when I called to confirm reservation they asked if we wanted an earlier time - this worked out well. This was the fourth time I have had lunch/dinner and I have not been dissapointed. Next time will ask for table nearer to the windows on Guild Street (or depending on who accompanies me - a high table in the bar area). Have definitely recommended it to friends.

My husband and I tried Olivadi for Valentine's Day for the first time. We intentionally made an early reservation since it was a Sunday evening. Sadly, our meal was rushed and the entree was brought out while we were still eating our salads. When we ordered dessert, the waitress seemed annoyed. As I was eating my dessert, the waitress approached and asked me if I was done. I smiled and told her "I'm still working on it." She responded by informing me that I only had one bite left. I told her that I was aware of it. It was so awkward, embarassing, and humiliating. As much as I really LOVED my meal - it was delicious - I don't think I ever want to go back again.
