Olio PizzeriaTerrificDelicious food (the truffle pizza is out of this world), tasty and potent cocktails, swift but relaxed service and an energetic, fun atmosphere. Highly recommended.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good pizzaStarted with meat antipasto plate, best Porcetta we've had in a while, great fennel salami, and then a black truffle pizza. Terrific, just wish the crust was slightly thinner. Service by an Italian waiter who funny, had an eye on all the customers, and a great off beat recommendation for a wine was a charm.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperb! Have been severalSuperb! Have been several times, very consistent. The freshest vegetables and cheeses.
Great place to bring family, or just two people before you see a movie.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPizza reviewIt was a pretty good craft style pizza, but not that amazing based on the hype. The crust did not have a lot of taste and was too chewy. I have had better style pizza at Mozza in Los Angeles which seems to be in the same genre. I dont think I would go back :(5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Pizza in Santa BarbaraOne of the best. Great pizza casual atmosphere. Preferred this over the more fancy Italian restaurant attached next door. It wont disappoint.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMIn the realm of pizza, thereIn the realm of pizza, there is bad pizza, mediocre pizza, good pizza and, (rarely) exceptional pizza. The pies at Olio Pizzeria fall into the this most exalted category. Of course, the crust must be great, and here it is-chewy and wonderfully flavored by the wood-fired oven. The toppings must be fresh and delicious. House made fennel sausage, anyone? Of course, even standards like Margherita must be fresh and delicious. So it is.
Here, numerous side dishes are offered, but if they only served the fried baby artichokes, that would be sufficient. Try some and be instantly transported to Rome. Life is too short to eat bad pizza. The fortunate residents of Santa Barbara don't have to; they can dine in or order out from Olio.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great service!Great food, great service! They even stuffed blue cheese olives for us specially! Delicious pizzas. Wish they had a pasta dish or 2. Maybe spaghetti and meatballs? :-)
This place won't disappoint! Must go!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurantWe really enjoyed the pizza. It reminded us of pizza in Italy. We would definitely return.
The gluten free option for pizza was wonderful as one of our party is gf.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is so wonderful,The food is so wonderful, love the variety of tastes. One of our favorite foody places.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMCurrent favoriteThis is currently my and my partner's favorite Santa Barbara eatery. We dine here almost every week, and bring out-of-town friends when they visit. Olio Pizzeria has many great regular pizza options, as well as some great salads. My favorite pizzas are the Diavola (spicy salami), the Umbra (black truffle), and the Tropea (roasted Tropea onions and fennel sausage).3/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI mentioned in another reviewI mentioned in another review that I love their pizzas, and named some of my favorites. My favorite salad is the Di Sanguinello: arugula and shaved fennel with blood orange and olives.2/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat desserts, tooTheir butterscotch pudding is out of this world. Their desserts never disappoint.2/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
