Olio Pizza e Più is an authentic Neapolitan pizzeria and restaurant located in the heart of the West Village, by award winning Pizza Master, Giulio Adriani. Giulio Adriani arrived in New York from Italy, eager to present his own style of Neapolitan pizza to New Yorkers who are mad for the stuff. Adriani learned the art of making traditional Neapolitan pizza from two of the greatest pizza masters in Italy, Gaetano Fazio and Antonio Starita. He is double certified as an authentic Neapolitan Pizza Maker by the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana and the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani, organizations for certification of authentic Neapolitan pizza.

Adriani states that each pizzaiolo has their own signature, partly found in their own interpretation of the "dough point", the point at which kneading the dough ceases. Giulio finds his dough point sooner than most, kneading his dough less-- which results in a lighter, fluffier, more digestible crust.

  • "This was my second visit to the restaurant. First visit was with a group of six ladies and we loved everything about it. This second visit was more of a miss - pizzas were just ok - little under seasoned and the crust very doughy. My fish was good but not as good as I remembered. Service was just ok. Some of the chair pads outside really need to be replaced - very dirty."

It wasn't cheap considering we had pizzas and soft drinks so there are definitely better value menus available elsewhere."

Went for a friend's birthday, were seated promptly, service was attentive but not pushy, and pizza was delicious. Loved the open dinning area. Only criticism would be skimpy wine menu and the men in the group complained that the pasta portions were too small. "

  • "Our brunch reservation was honored, which is a rarity in this area on the weekends. We were seated indoors, due to the wait time for an outdoor table. Although the indoor space is lovely, we had hoped for a seat in the beautiful sidewalk garden. The wood fired pizzas were nice, though not served piping hot. The fritatta was good, however would benefit from more vegetables and less potato. Overall this was a nice brunch spot, and we would return."

  • "Overall, it was great. The atmosphere is quaint and beautifully floral, and the location is prime. The dishes were savory and pretty perfect: I shared the Fritto Misto with my friend, then had the Cavatelli Ai Funghi. The staff was, at first, standoffish and inattentive; then the waiter who seated us was rude. Our waitress for the night, however, was accommodating and friendly. I would like to return and try more dishes, but am afraid of receiving the same treatment at the outset of the evening."

  • "Good food, good service but when 5 people come in with a reservation, they should be more accommodating to where we want to sit and not be placed near the bathroom. When asked if we could sit in the middle they should have said yes, they could've put two tables together in the middle as they did need the bathroom. They also need a more moderate wine list bottles are pricey for the price point of this restaurant."

  • "Yes the food is amazing, the place i beautiful with cute chairs, nice lighting.. Perfect! Except that the service was terrible. I was with a group of 5, and we werent taken serious! My friend asked if he could have parmesan in her salad and the waiter looked at her and walked away as if she was joking. Also instead of separate checks, they did it all together and it was a pain to divide the bill. Some of the waiters were nice but the one who attended us was very very rude. Would go back just for their pizzas."

This place will serve you the best pizza in the neighborhood, you don't need to go to Bleecker St Pizza which is lame and dirty; pay slightly more and experience a nice pizza with super nice people. We had a perfect table set up, great server and excellent food. This place is usually packed in the summertime for outdoor dining but i would totally recommend it for inside dining in the Wintertime- its very cozy and energetic inside. Will definetly be back!"

  • "What a great find! Had dinner on a Wednesday evening, only about half full so it was quiet and easy to have conversation with my guests. The salads were tasty and huge. The mains were all prepared well and presented beautifully. The chef was fine with minor substitutions (no potato, more veg). Pasta was perfectly al dente. The salmon had a wonderful sear on top and was cooked to perfection. Nice size portions, didn't leave hungry. The wine list isn't extensive, but adequate. Very accommodating neighborhood place. I expect to be back, often!"

  • "I took my family to this restaurant a few days ago when they came into town as they had something on the menu for everyone, We started off our meal with the proscuitto and fig which was amazing! Then my mom and I shared the insalata di pera which had arrugala pears, gorgonzola cheese and walnuts, so tasty and refreshing. For dinner we all ordered a pizza, mom and I shared the Margherita, dad had the mezza luna and my brother created his own. All in all we had a great time, the food was awesome, my only note is that our waitress could have been a bit more attentive, howvever it did get busy so that might have had something to do with it."

  • "We were tired and out of imagination after a long day sight-seeing with our first-time visitor to New York. Olio Pizza e Piu is a short walk from our accommodation. But our evening there was not a consolation prize. Food was excellent, ambience just right and service was outstanding. My husband had been on a prior visit. He's Dutch, I am of Italian origin, my dining companion is Norwegian, and we were all equally impressed. The menu lists all the classic Italian dishes, with some regional quirks thrown in, like ricotta salata and cavatelli. The shrimp in my companion's spaghetti were enormous. My husband's calzone was just right, not too salty -- the usual problem with pizza toppings -- and my cavatelli light enough for a late night meal."

The service left the worst taste in my mouth: a) The manager did not recognize our reservation and complained pathetically about our request for an outdoor table, b) Multiple waiters throughout the evening making it difficult (for them) to keep our orders straight c) Left our drinks empty; we had to ask for refills d) Did not recognise our corporate discount, and seemed genuinely confused about the process of paying a bill with a credit card."

The mussel/clams were not good, fishy, and pizza was a bit burnt. Service was pretty slow too, our waitress disappeared on us, but it might of been an off night. Host was friendly and would go back for the bolognese and pizza..."

  • "I had been here 3 times in the previous 2 weeks. The food is great and consistent. On this visit which was the hottest day ever, the window were all shut and the pizza ovens were in high gear so needless to say the temperature inside was as hot as it was outside. It was especially noisy and the service was a little slow. I will go back but I would advise not going on a hot day."

  • "My girlfriend and I have always wanted to come here because it looks so lovely, like a secret garden. My uncle was in town visiting from China and we decided to this was our chance. The service was incredible, our Serbian waitress gave awesome recommendations and created a wonderful, comfortable environment. The wine, the appetizers and our entrees were amazing, every course bringing new flavors and delicious bites. We finished off with an amazing gelato, espresso, amaretto combo and left with nothing but the greatest impression. The best thing is that they are open 24-7! A great spot to take advantage of when you are out late and want something great."

  • "The food here is great - this was my third visit, and it does not disappoint. The Fiorentina salad was delicious (and a huge portion), as was the melanzane appetizer, the Nostrana pizza and the Pizza Tartufo. However, our service was not great. Our server had such an attitude - we asked her for balsamic vinegar, and she responded that other tables had the bottles and we would have to wait. She also made a face at my friend who ordered a third drink. She checked on our food a bit too much for our comfort, and when we asked her what she recommended on the menu, she basically read every since item on the menu...."
