  • "We sat outside. Beautiful night, great food and great service as always."

  • "Sorry to say neither my husband or I found the food to be anything special. The sea bass was chewy and we won't return."

  • "We ordered 5 apps that were very good, The Caesar Salad was great. we spilt an order of pasta and meatballs. The pasta was fantastic and the marinara was very good. We didn't care for the meatball but everything else was great. Our server was the best!"

  • "Had the Papadelle Bolognese. I have had it several times before here and it was great. Last night it was more like a pink cream sauce rather than a true Bolognese and it had way too many mushrooms. Not sure why mushrooms are in a Bolognese but I'm not the chef. Never heard of mushrooms in a Bolognese. The steamed dumpling appetizer was excellent. Guests had scallops which were good and Chicken Paillard which was average."

  • "Six of us went to Olio on Saturday night. First mistake, which I should know better, was to go on a Saturday night during the height of the season. It was one of the few places in Delray Beach that had a table for 6 on the morning of our reservation. We arrived at 8, the time of our reservation and we're sitted quite soon after arrival. My husband came in after we were seated and after he found a parking space. He sat down for 3 minutes and then said he couldn't stand the noise level and he got up to leave. Because of the noise, he couldn't hear anyone speaking at our table. Terrible evening!xxr"

  • "A little off the beaten path and craziness of Atlantic Avenue Olio is a great option. Interior very pretty with a small sidewalk outdoor option. Food was really good."

  • "We have been here before, and ate in the wine cellar, which we requested this time. Were not told it was closed, and were seated by the bar, where a large noisy group literally stood right by our table with their butts in our plates. Ignored by manager who was, eating with friends, and or family at the table that this loud group was waiting for, when we complained, he finally came over and suggested moving the table over, which only spread the bar group out further, her argued with us, but did give us dessert and coffee, we really just wanted to leave, I was hoarse all night from trying to speak to my friends. There are so many other wonderful restaurants around the area, that it isn't necessary to go back there again."

  • "We dined at Olio last night. I ordered the salmon, which was delicious, dolphin, not so. Otherwise, all was fine until the check arrived and I noticed that the wedge salad we had ordered was $13 on the menu ($10 on the web site) and $15 on our final bill. When we brought this to their attention they were not at all nice. They did correct it but upon our departure they ignored us and did not even say good evening. Place was not crowded at all so one cannot blame crowded conditions for their rudeness. It spoiled what could have been a nice dining experience. I would not recommend. We have eaten on Atlantic ave in Delray Beach nearly every night for two weeks now and have not had this experience anywhere else. They were not gracious here."

  • "It was our first time at Olio and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, wine list adequate. It is not a large restaurant, so table are quite close to each other and one can't help to listen to other's conversations. Next time we'll request an outside table."

  • "To my valentine to Olio a night early to avoid the crowds. The food was excellent, the service was just as excellent. These guys are really hitting it out of the park. I'm going back there again and I've already begun sharing with other the great experience."

  • "Small place, one block off of the hectic Atlantic Avenue scene. One of everything on the menu - duck, fish, lamb, etc., and nice combination of Mediterranean, Italian, and Asian influences. The duck was excellent and the fresh snapper dish outstanding. Excellent escargot. Very extensive and interesting wine list. The high brick walls make the place loud even when half full, but it was nowhere near as noisy and rushed as the popular places on Atlantic Avenue. Nice to be out of the bustle, then take a stroll on the avenue after dinner. One caution - parking can be iffy (as it is in general in Delray during the season). Best to park wherever you can and either walk or take one of the jitneys."

  • "but not so much on Valentine's Day. It was packed. The tables were so close together we couldn't talk for the noise of others around us. The service was the worst we have ever had there. We had to ask for everything - water, bread, etc - no one checked on us during the meal. Suggest avoid this restaurant on a special day."

  • "Lovely quaint place with warm brick walls a little off the beaten path. Service was impeccable. There were four of us dining and we all enjoyed our food and drinks. I ate my first hibiscus flower from my cocktail! Can't wait to go back."

  • "Friday evening crowd. Ridiculously noisy inside. Sat outside where server all but forgot about us initially. Then he redeemed himself with very attentive service. Food and especially bread good. Off beaten path of busy atlantic avenue."

  • "I thought I had made a reservation at a tried and true restaurant we frequent often in another town. I thought they had opened one in Delray. What a surprise when we sat down and we saw the menu. We lucked out. It turned out to be a good thing. The menu was Italian and we love Italian. Everyone was thrilled with their food and we had a super waiter! We sat outside which was lovely and quiet. The inside was very loud so that is something to consider. Ask for outside dining."

  • "we enjoyed our dinner very much however there was no valet parking an the parking situation was very bad It took us more t han 40 minutes to find a parking spot"
    Dined on 2/8/2014
  • "This restaurant was just about the only place in downtown Delray that had tables that evening and the crowd was thin for good reason. The noise bouncing off the exposed brick walls caused by the small crowd and the close placement of the tables did not foreshadow a good dining experience so we departed and found dinner in the next town."

  • "The construction in this restaurant has taken away the wonderful, intimate wine room."
    Dined on 1/30/2014
  • "Everything was great. We even heard from the table next to us, how they enjoyed the food. The only problem is limited street parking and valet is only down the corner at Atlantic ave at a cost of $10."

  • "A full block south from bustling Atlantic Ave this spot might be missed by some, but it shouldn't be. Staff was friendly and made the night fun. Brick lined walls made for a warm upper class atmosphere. Enjoyed the night so much traveled to the sister property, Boheme Bistro for brunch the next Sunday. Will definitely be back."

  • "We visit Olio about every month and are never disappointed. Leonard has put together an excellent menu with outstanding preparation and presentation. His steamed dumplings are the best ever!! We always ask for Rick and he always accommodates us. His drink and wine recommendations are always "spot-on"."

  • "The restaurant is very noisy, but the interior is attractive. The waitstaff were nice but completely disorganized with uneven service throughout the meal. Several of the wines listed on the special NYE menu were not available. Overall, I cannot recommend Olio. There are better options in Delray Beach."

  • "We were there for New Year's Eve and the restaurant was booming! We did see a table or 2 get up and walk out because it was so busy. It was apparent the manager didn't have enough wait staff on hand. We didn't have a server ourselves and ended up getting the bartender to take care of us. It worked out... Food was good, my filet came out a little under cooked temperature wise but all in all, a nice meal. The seating is close and I didn't get the impression that they were really into their wines like I thought they would be. Good find for romance and a nice dinner!"

  • "It's important to note that my Olio experience was on New Year's Eve. The place was packed and there was a limited menu. The staff was very friendly and attentive but they were overwhelmed by the number of diners and so everything took longer than one would expect. The caesar salad seemed right out of a bag. The jumbo crab cocktail was just pieces of crab with sauce on the side. I had the blackened dolphin that wasn't bad but so spicy it overpowered the flavor of the fresh fish. My date had the curry shrimp which was very good. We shared a piece of chocolate cake which was very good but too cold. Overall the food is overpriced and underwhelming. Maybe I ordered the wrong things or it would be a better experience if it wasn't a holiday."

  • "This restaurant wants to be everything but failed miserably. The wine selection and prices are quite good . However wines are stored in shelves which located in high elevation. Our waiter had to use a chair to get a bottle. It could take a couple Floridian summers to cook wine"

  • "This is a perfect spot which says"I'm discriminating, but I am not a follower. There are many great places to eat in South Palm County. This is a one of them. Bring a date, bring friends, bring your parents, don't bring your kids. If an impressive wine list is your thing, and a small but varied menu where everything is done extremely well, then stop in. If you just want to sip wine and eat Flat Bread, you will be thrilled !!!"

  • "Had we known that olio was under MAJOR reconstruction we probably would not have chosen to introduce a new couple that were our guests to the restaurant at this time. The parking lot is no longer an option, the main part of the restaurant was crowded to accmodate the contents of the wine room and additional tables were added making it impossible to have a descent conversation with guests at our own table. The food was good and the service okay. We will likely return after the remodeling is not an issue. Wish we knew before arriving..."

  • "What a great local restaurant. Small, quaint, quiet and delicious. Food was wonderful and presentations were lovely. Service was impeccable. I do not know why it isn't busier than it is, probably because it is not on the main avenue but off on a side street. Been there ten years and we just found accidentally. Appetizers for the table were cleaned up by all; main courses were all finished. Waiter service friendly, constantly checking on us and refilling water. Let our party try different wines before buying a bottle. Just fabulous! Will be added to my favorite list."

  • "As always, our dinner was great. Unfortunately the wine room is closed during construction but food and service was excellent as always. Tony has a great crew!"

  • "This was our second visit to Olio and unfortunately it was not as good as the first. Everything from the food to the service was very average. The menu boasts homemade meatballs. It's too bad they tasted like they got them out of the freezer from Sam's. One of our meals, a shrimp dish with pasta was very good though. With all of the choices in Delray, a restaurant needs to "bring their A game" every night. Olio was way off its game on Friday night."

  • "I could not enjoy my dining experience due to the extreme level of notice . The talking just bounces off the brick walls and tile floors. Hopefully, when the new addition is completed, they will insulate the interior. I ordered the duck, which they called crispy, but was very dry. The food could be improved as well."

  • "Made reservations for my wife's birthday. The service was excellent and food was outstanding. I had the rack of ribs, which were falling off the bone tender. My wife had a seafood medley and enjoyed it tremendously. The menu didn't have much of a variety, but, with what we experienced, was awesome!"

  • "The restaurant is expanding and undergoing some remodeling so the wine list is not reflective of the wines that the wait staff can access (versus those put in storage during the remodel). The wine list will be updated to reflect what is accessible so the 30 mins of back and forth we had to go thru (plus a frustrated waiter to boot) should be eliminated. Despite this the food was good and the setting lovely."
