Generally we love Oleana but the food this night was very heavy/oily and not up to their usual standards. In addition, our service was subpar (e.g. Had to wait 15 min to order wine after waitstaff went to put in meal order). It was the night before Thanksgiving so maybe it was the "B-team". If this was our first time it would also have been our last. As it stands we will wait till Spring/summer to try again.

This was our second time at Oleana and found it even better the second time. We were able to sit outside (in November) thanks to the gas heaters and the setting out there is beautiful. The food was outstanding as it was last time and the hostess and our waiter were both very friendly and efficient.

Great food, if you eat a lot the portions will not satisfy you but the flavor/ingredient combination is phenomenal, great for romantic date, huge wine list with variety of wines from all Mediterranean countries (impressed by Greek and Cypriot variety)

Great meal! The food was very well prepared; fresh ingredients that were properly seasoned and presented in a visually appealing manner. The service was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and polite waiter. It's tapas style but the table was never cluttered, as it was bused efficiently throughout the meal. Super easy place to bring a vegetarian/vegan Only "complaint" was that the tables are pretty on top of one another, to the point where it could be a little bit awkward if the couples you're seated between get silent. BUT that's nit picking. Definitely worth visiting!

  • Good food, service was a little brusque

The food here is thoughtful and for the most part, very well-executed. The variety of vegetarian and pescatarian options is really stellar. A few of the dishes were not as good as they sounded-the fried shrimp and fried mussels were very heavy and over-battered. The kohlrabi pancakes, swordfish scallopini, vegetable cigar borek, and several dishes really exceeded our expectations. The service was a little brusque. While we waited for our table, there was not a comfortable place to wait (the very small waiting area is right on the path for waitstaff), and it was made clear by the hostess that we could NOT order a drink while we waited. Our waitress was a little bossy about our menu/wine choices, which I guess is fine since she knows the menu well, but was a little off-putting.

This is our first time to Oleana. 4 of us shared 6 small dishes and 2 main dishes plus just one glass of wine and it comes to $40 per person. Below is the food we ordered in the order from my most favorite to less favorite. Lemon Chicken, Za’atar & Turkish Cheese Pancake 25 Sultan’s Delight—Tamarind Beef, Smokey Eggplant Purée & Pinenut 13 Spinach Falafel, Tahini Sauce, Beet Yogurt & Cress 12 Fried Cauliflower, Moroccan-Style Almond Butter & Dukkah 7 Shrimp Kabob special 14 Spicy Fideos, Chickpeas, Swiss Chard & Orange Aioli 8 Swordfish Scallopini, Sicilian Tomato Sauce, Garlic Crema & Green Bean 23 Deviled Eggs with Tuna & Black Olives 6 A galss of red wind recommended by our waitress which was spot on for me. I will definitely go back again but probably not very often as it is not cheap. When I do go back, I will replace the 2 or 3 dishes on my list above with some thing dieffernt. While the service turned out to be ok at the end, we did sense our waitress's disappointment when she found out only one of us drinks. She looked more pleasant and helpful when she realized that we are not going to be stingy on the food plus we are ordering take out for a family member. The space is very nicedly decorated but somewhat cramped tha if yo move your chair you are likely to bumpe a wall or a guest next/behind you. All in all, we all agree that this adventure is a success!

Oleana did not disappoint. Oh, maybe it's a bit smaller with more of a beehive busyness to it than I expected, but really, does that matter in light of the fabulous tastes? Wish I'd stuck with all meze instead of going with a shared meze /entree-all-mine mix. Reviewers who said to save room for desert were spot on, and I thank them from the bottom of my baked Alaska heart.

If first you don't succeed, try try again. I've been trying to get a reservation at Oleana with little success. But then I checked the evening before and Open Table came through! I met a business colleague and we decided to dine outside - very rare for mid-November but the staff turned on the heaters and it was fantastic. Then there was live music...couldn't have been a better evening.

Can't believe it took me so long to make my way to Oleana. Have heard the great reviews, but was really blown away with the multi-layered flavors of their menu. I grew up on Middle Eastern food, but Oleana brings it to another delicious level. There were three of us and we got three Meze and two Main dishes, which left room for dessert. Sultans Delight was wonderful, fatoush best I ever had! Lemon chicken and monkfish did not disappoint. It's worth the hour drive to get there...

Apparently ours was an exceptionally busy, rainy, backed-up Thursday evening, and dwe weren't seated until almost 45 minutes after our reservation time. And waiting was very unpleasant - standing, crowded into limited space that blocked crucial wait-staff passageways. To their credit, staff bent over backwards to apologize, also being very attentive, and the kitchen worked to compensate us with several free appetizers. Some dishes were dazzlingly wonderful, but many were just ok, or lackluster. Sommelier was excellent - very helpful!

Married to a farmer, it is nice going to restaurants that share the love and connection to farms. The creations made with the food (we ate vegetarian) were wonderful and unique to this restaurant. The food was great, good craft beer selection, and servers, hosts were knowledgeable and outgoing. Nice place to visit once and a while, the cost is a little prohibitive for the farmer salary, but a nice treat for that special occasion.

The food was very good and everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. The Staff was very friendly but there were a few miscues that should be addressed for a restaurant of this caliber and reputation. The wine was not served before we received the starters and I had to ask at least twice. Also, one person received the wrong main course so had to wait for his order to be remade while everyone else felt awkward. However, the originality of the food and high quality makes this a place to put on your must go list. Be sure to reserve far in advance.

But not, it was advertised as Turkish food but wasn't, it was more eclectic Mediterranean. We went for the meze but The crispy Brussels sprouts really were burnt. The food rather than simply prepared was more complicated and over done. We arrived a little early and were guided to a bench in the main path of the servers and they were quite huffy as we were in their way.

We were seated in the patio as it was a warm October evening. Lovely atmosphere. We ordered some mezzes and each one of them was so full of flavor and unexpected combinations. The chicken and lamb main dishes were also fanatstic but maybe a bit much after all the mezzes. So unfortunately no room left for dessert. Definitely a place to come back to.
