Ole is my favorite Mexican restaurant. Forget the tired TexMex found in all other Mexican restaurants. This is the real thing. Everything from guacamole made at table side to the beautiful presentations enhances the meal. The food is luscious. I visit Ole whenever my travels take me through Boston.

The food is consistently great at Ole. The quality is excellent and I find it more authentic than most TexMex joints. I also love the atmosphere and often go if I want to hear the person across from me at the table. The drinks are also very tasty, whether ordered as a complement to the food, or if ordered at the bar. All these qualities make Ole one of my favorite places, but it is the fresh guacamole that above all else keeps me coming back.

its hard to find good Mexican food in the Boston Cambridge area. Ole is an exception. The food continues to be great tasting, and this time around the service was even better than in the past.so now the but...the portion sizes used to be big, almost too big. this time and they were reduced quite a bit in size, which was good, but the prices have stayed the same. so, a lot less value for your money.

The food at Ole is deliciously authentic & their guacamole is made fresh table side. Always a nice treat. Ole is one of our regular dining spots. There is only one issue that the management may want to look into & that is at times the service is spotty. Thanks for letting me share my opinions.

Went here around 7pm on a Saturday. It was lively and a bit loud, but still doable if you can screech over peoples voices. Service was slow. We waited 10 min to be asked our order and to receive water. But the food was just so darn delicious. I ordered the cauliflower taco as an appetizer. It is not under the app section but i told our waiter for it to come out first which was perfect. *Note it's only one taco per order. Then a dish of vegetable stew with pumpkin puree. So delicious. My date ordered the skirt steak with mashed potatoes and was thoroughly satisfied. *Note this dish is for a steak lover, as there was so much meat!

We really enjoyed our dinner. We started with guacamole, made fresh, and outstanding served with delicious salsa and home baked tortilla chips. For mains, my husband and I had two orders each of tacos, 4 different varieties and each one fabulous, our guest had the duck with mole sauce, which he told us was great. We thought it was one of the best meals we've had locally in quite a while. Service was friendly and efficient, the restaurant is nicely decorated with comfortable seating. There is a metered parking lot to the rear of the restaurant. We plan on returning again and again.

Rez done on Open Table with a 'by the window' request. Host immediately recognized that request and we were seated at the window in short order. Food always amazing, plenty of vegetarian options. Best spicy margarita in town and the bartender never ceases to amaze with delicious and spontaneous mocktails. Easy to have conversation, wait staff checked on us appropriately, it was a wonderful evening with friends.

If this were half the restaurant it used to be... From something special to just another tex-mex. Meh margaritas. Bland salmon. Over peppered steak on the salad. Service: Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the culinary school grad who can't cut it as a chef in the lead waiter role, whose primary function seemed to be pointing out his under study's lack of experience in the most pretentious character possible. Ambiance: mariachi Muzak of every tired classic rock hit you can think of. If this trend continues they will have to lower their premium price tags and change their name from Olé to Así-Así.

First, let me say that the tequila/mezcal selection is fantastic. I tried one of the flights and the three I got were very good, not all that distinct from one another, but very good. The guacamole made "tableside" was indeed tasty. The salsa tasted like it was made from a can, I understand that it is not quite tomato season. We ordered some tapas and the veggie enchilada for our meal. The fish on the fish taco was tasteless as if it hadn't been seasoned or marinated. The chorizo tacos had some spice/flavor. The enchiladas were topped with a green sauce which was bland and the braised vegetables in the enchilada varied from burned to decent. Our waiter was friendly but flaky and forgetful (forgot to put our order in). Go elsewhere.

The reservation through OpenTable worked flawlessly. The staff was positive, warm and helpful with just the right balance of friendliness and professional distance. My party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The food was excellent. There were specials for Mother's Day. I had the beef tenderloin and it was one of the best food experiences of my life. The mashed potatoes were great, as was the rest of my meal including the flan for desert. The restaurant allowed us to stay as long as we wanted with no pressure to leave. We really had an excellent time.

Had dinner to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Drinks were delicious although we received white sangria instead of the red we ordered. Live music was entertaining. Loved the guacamole. My friend's order was not to his liking (under cooked and fatty meat) which he couldn't eat. Server made note of it but didn't take it off the bill. My tacos were tasty. Have had better meals in the past. I think they were overwhelmed because of the holiday business.

Very loud, but it was a Friday night and busy! We have been here a number of times and looked forward to the guacamole, salsa, and the sangria. Something changed with all of them. The guacamole lacked flavor and was much to 'chunky' - as if the preparer didn't have time to properly 'mash' the avocado. The salsa has changed and seemed less chunky - no longer 'home-made'. The sangria was blah - again no flavor. Service was slow. We must have waited at least 40 minutes for our main courses. We would rate them 'good'. We asked for a dessert menu, waited, and had to ask again. Not sure we will return, definitely not for a quieter dinner on a Friday evening.

I have been a patron of this restaurant for 5 years now and it has been nothing short of amazing every time. It can be a really expensive and fancy night out or super casual and inexpensive by sitting at the bar so it really fits a lot of my needs in a night out. This night in particular we made reservations for my sister's birthday. There were 5 of us in the party on a Saturday night and our waitress handle our orders like it was a table for two. She was super sweet and just the right amount of attentiveness. We had a great time, the food was amazing all around, and the bday girl got her choice of desert! So sweet!
