Diner Reviews
  • "great beer selection. very nice outdoor space. food average at best."

  • "it was a beautiful night to sit outside, so we went here to enjoy the weather, get dinner, and try some the of brews on the extensive beer menu. The beer menu is multiple pages long, while the food menu is only a couple. We ordered a burger, brisket, fish and chips, fish tacos and the special of a shrimp salad, so a decent sampling of varied food items. They were subpar at best, with the fish and chips and salad being the worst of the bunch. So, if you are going for food, choose one of the many other options in Oakbrook. If you want to sit outside and enjoy a few drinks, try this place."

  • "This was our second time dining at the Pour House. While the atmosphere is busy and upbeat, the food is just okay. The menu is decent but they just don't deliver as far as the food. Very underwhelming. I doubt we would return as the food just doesn't meet our foodie expectations, even for bar food."

  • "So glad they have such a large outdoor seating area- perfect for drinks with coworkers. Very good deconstructed Niscoise Salad, but the fried pickle appetizer was just ok."

  • "I always enjoy Old Town Pour House, it's a great place to meet clients, because there are so many beer selections, but also because the menu selections are so varied. The chili is great, can't say enough about the cheese curds, and you simply can't beat their burgers! We had excellent service, we were able to relax and talk without being rushed, but when we needed something, the staff was extremely attentive and professional. I've been many times, and will continue to return to OTPH!!"

  • "Good Beer list, food was average at best. Good place to stop for a beer after work before heading home."
    Dined on 7/15/2014
  • "Pour House has a unique menu and tons of beverages to choose from. Loved the buffalo shrimp, BBQ smoked chicken salad, crab fondue & snicker pie! the Oakbrook location has a nice patio as well."

  • "Not a huge food menu. Great place to go out for drinks, but food was just an after thought."

  • "Across the board - a perfect lunch experience! Split the chili which is phenomenal, than each of us got a sandwich - the smoked brisket and the pulled pork. Definitely a delicious meat overload of the positive kind, and that's what OTPH is known for. Both sandwiches were amazing, each with its own special bread and perfect accompaniment. The coriander slaw on the pork, the gouda on the brisket - WOW. Coupled with the parsley fries, we were in a food fog heaven. Portions are enough that one can gorge and still have a decent portion for later. Their outside area is so comfortable and so inviting. We could have remained there all day, even if we left after 2 hours and never were we rushed. Service is friendly & attentive. Never an empty glass!"

  • "Old Town Pour House has become a regular spot for us to catch a quick bite in good weather. The outdoor dining is all high tops and with enough room in between to be a pleasant experience. While very noisy it is definitely a great place to catch some unusual bites, a unique brew and watch a sporting event on one of the two TVs. Definitely recommend this bar/restaurant for locals, visitors and groups that want to come together over food and drink in the beautiful Oak Brook setting. Small and unusual bites are fun to try but they are expensive. Limited fuller menu offerings. But if you want to sample some beers in an upscale setting definitely a top spot."

  • "While there wasn't a large crowd for lunch, the service was slow. The waitress was not really attentive when it came to my food allergies which always makes you nervous about the preparation. Despite noting gluten free on my order she served me a salad with croutons and pushed desserts that clearly weren't gluten free. Oh well, not sure I'll return when Wildfire is right next door and knows how to handle gluten free dining"

  • "It doesn't mater what type of restaurant I go to, I expect only go back when they meet a minimal expectation. Old Town Pour service was ok not great, but the food just did not deliver."

  • "I have been trying to get into Pour House for a while now for lunch. Finally was able to secure a reso for this past Saturday. Started by sharing the calamari which was cooked perfectly and served with both cocktail sauce and tarter sauce. I had the lobster roll which was amazing. Tons of lobster and done just right. It came w/ fries that were also very yummy."

  • "Old Town Pour House is about the beer and in that regard it does not disappoint. With 90 selections on tap there should be something for craft beer lovers to enjoy. My beer snob hubby (self-proclaimed) tried three different double IPA small pours and came out with a clear favorite. The food was decent to good but nothing special - I had the pulled pork which was a little dry and my hubby had the fish tacos which he felt lacked a bit of oomph. Our server, Rick, was attentive and fun and the restaurant manager, Nick, made sure he chatted up each customer. My biggest complaint was the noise level. The music was so loud we had a hard time conversing. Because the craft beer will be calling we will no doubt go back again. :)"

  • "Something on the food menu for everyone. Beer selection outstanding, liked the wine on tap concept. Wait staff was pleasant and gave just the right amount of attention."

  • "The food was very good and the bar is really nice. There are so many interesting beer options."

  • "The entire grid of restaurants along the perimeter of OBM were without power during lunch with a friend. Fortunately, we had just enjoyed sharing a lunch of tender meat laden chili, BBQ chicken salad, a juicy cheeseburger with fries. We were just about ready to dig into the delicious butterscotch bread pudding with raisin ice cream when the restaurant lost all power. The servers and management couldn't have been more gracious & accomodating. If such an awful loss as electricity is going to happen anywhere, it might as well occur at Old Town Pour House. They handled an unfortunate situation with class & aplomb. If they were able to handle this, I have to think they'd handle most difficult situations well, and for that reason, I'll be back!!"

  • "My son loved the beer selections. Wine list quite extensive with some wines on tap. Sandwiches excellent. Service just ok."

  • "The restaurant was busy but did an excellent job of keeping our reservation and we sat on time outside. The service was excellent, made great suggestions for dinner and beers alike. The food was good, the place was very clean and the bar had a great selection of craft beers. The only complaint that I could make is that parking isn't great, but they have valet, so can't even really complain about that. I will return"

  • "I met a longtime friend for dinner here, great service and excellent beer selection. I had the fish tacos most excellent! Highly recommend!"

  • "terrific beer menu. Food menu limited, like it was an afterthought. Just go with burger"
    Dined on 6/11/2014
  • "Food is typical bar food though my chopped salad with chicken was quite good. They were very busy but I don't think the waiter should comment that he just got three tables and will get to you as soon as possible.. Be ready to talk VERY loudly"
    Dined on 6/7/2014
  • "This is a nice place, but a bit overpriced. I feel like they couldn't decide if they want to be upscale or casual so it was a bit of both. TONS of beer options which was nice but the food was just OK and a bit overpriced. Nice outdoor patio though."

  • "I went here with my wife and had a good time. The fish and chips were very good as was the beer. Just a great selection overall. The burger was underwhelming. The patty is probably premade and not to order which leaves it lacking flavor and was poorly seasoned. I would not order it again."

  • "Not a huge food menu, but an excellent selection of beers. Went their with my family (3 teenagers). So so for the family. If I go back, I'll probably leave the kids at home."

  • "A great server who was patient and determined to find a beer to suit my husband's tastes. He brought many tastes each based on comments of the previous option. Although a busy Friday evening, good service. Noise level ok, conversation friendly for two. Fun ambiance. "

  • "GREAT BEER, ....GREAT WAITRESS. We had a party of 9, graduation and birthday combined. COULD NOT BELIEVE THE $12 CRUSTED MACARONI .. TINY PLASTIC MICROWAVE DISH SERVED ON A WHITE DINNER PLATE.... AND THE APP, ...3 small pieces ON A BIG PLATE! Not worth the money. Tasted like a heat and eat....kind of place , the crusted macaroni $12, and the chicken salad 4 pieces of bib lettuce and 2-tablespoons of chopped chicken in the middle?? Good place for expensive drinks. I WONT GO BACK. A LOT OF MONEY FOR SO LITTLE .. "

  • "title says it all. Great place to have a drink. Service was attentive but kind of a train wreck (got order wrong a few times, had to remind several times to bring a few different items, auctioned off food / drinks). I want to like the place but they need to improve food (which was slightly better than tasteless) and service."

  • "Old Town Pour House is very good bar food. Cheese Curds were better then I have had in Wisconsin. All sandwiches we had were very good. Basically the food is bar food. But it was all very good. And they had a great beer menu with servers who were very well versed on beer. Not a place to go for dine dining, but a great place to go for snack/bar food. "

  • "Good variety of beer, and wait staff was very knowledgable in regards to the types of beer. Ambiance was sports bar like. After work crowd type of place. Food was typical of this type of establishment. If we returned it would be to try new beers not the food."
    Dined on 5/9/2014
  • "We arrived about six. Table was ready server was quick to take a drink order and patient when we delayed ordering for 20 min to talk. All was well until about 8 when the sound level increased to a can't hear level. We had asked for quite table because we wanted to chat. That spoiled the rest of the evening for us. "

  • "Slipshod attention to wants of customer make this a place we would not return to. Our daughter ordered her salad with the dressing on the side, but it was served already tossed. By the time anyone came by, she was so hungry that she had eaten most of it. Our other daughter's hamburger was so dry she could hardly eat it. Word to the wise: order the brisket sandwich. It is good."

  • "Service was great and good good. Mor sports bar-like in terms of noise A bit on the pricey side for type of place Outdoor patio looked fun Enjoyable but be prepared for a large bar tab even if you don't drink a lot!"

  • "Energetic spot, good if you want a beer. Limited food menu which was over priced for what you got and quantities were small. Quality of food was very average. Many better spots to eat in the area. "
