Diner Reviews
  • "We were welcomed at the door and seated almost immediately. The music playing was great, made you want to get up and dance! Food was good and beer selection great. I do believe we will go back."

  • "They have 84 beers on tap and lots of other drink choices to. They have TV's inside and outside, so there is always one in view."

  • "Wow! We were so excited to try the Pour House! Although pricey. the beer was good Unfortunately the food was not good, very disappointing. The egg rolls tasted like they were made the day before and reheated. We won't be back, unless we hear that the food has improved. Too bad."

  • "OakBrook needed this. A nice, but casual restaurant. Updated pub food is perfect for the setting. Can't wait to enjoy a football game on Sunday at the restaurant."

  • "Pour House has plenty of different beers on tap, sure to please different tastes. They even have wine on tap. Service was great on a Monday night. I was also here on a Saturday when service was a bit less attentive. Food is good overall. We had an artichoke spread, hummus and fish tacos. The hummus and tacos were a bit spicy for my taste. Love the ambiance and their playlist!"

  • "Lots of beers on tap. There were many interesting food choices as if this was to be a "gastro pub", but nothing we ordered stood out. I would call it high end bar food. Nice TV set up. I would recommend this place for husbands to watch games while wives shop at Oak Brook Mall."

  • "While the beer selection was excellent and the server was open to sharing her knowledge, the food was mediocre and the server disappeared before the entrees were delivered to our table by someone else. We had to ask the a passing employee to locate the server so we could pay and leave."

  • "Great waitress, super friendly and helpful. Food was tasty, casual and beer choice excellent."

  • "Great selection of beers. Wonderful service. Food was lacking. This was the third time I have been to the restaurant. First time food was amazing. The last two times, substandard at best. We ordered the grilled cheese with pork belly because it was so good the first time around, very little meat, fatty, cool temp. Soup was nothing but tomato sauce with olive oil on it. Did not even taste like the first time we had it. The cheese curds were good however. They need to get the quality back in the food. Focus!"

  • "Had a great bloody mary and a very tasty burger. Was.a bit intimidated by the vasr selection of beers. I will visit again and sample the beer. Thought it was a great lunch venue."

  • "Despite a great beer list, this spot was seriously disappointing. The food was mediocre and the noise level made it very difficult to have conversations. Although there were a lot of people there, I doubt it gets a lot of repeat customers."

  • "Very loud music, and fairly high prices for a place that has mostly bar tables and communal seating. Fish tacos were too bland and spicy but the lobster roll was very good. Drinks are greats here as there are many options. I wouldn't go for dinner again but definitely drinks and maybe an app."

  • "Old Town Pour House Oak Brook might be best known for the 90 or so beers on tap but I was there for a business lunch so no beer for me. However, my waitress told me they have an in house smoker on site and smoke all their own brisket and pork. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and I felt like I was transported to Kansas City. Great smoke flavor but not over the top. BBQ sauce had a nice tang and cole slaw on top was the perfect balance. I have had the brisket sandwich and that is just as good if not better. Can't wait for weather to break and the outdoor patio to open."

  • "Loved the choice of beers, however, the beer I picked was $12.00 each. Too expensive for a beer. Food was good, and more reasonably priced."

  • "This place has a TON of different beers on tap so there is something for everyone. They stream music throughout, it's loud, but we enjoyed the playlist. Ate the artichoke hearts and fish tacos. Both were good, tacos a bit more spicy than I prefer."

  • "Dinner w/ 3 friends. Waitress couldn't answer beer flavor or wine portion questions. Food was good but lobster roll skimpy compared to others. Waitress finally took dessert order and brought lukewarm coffee and forgot dessert. She brought bill and when told acted surprised. We skipped dessert and left."

  • "This was our first trip to Old Town Pour House, and we would definitely go back. The menu had 6 or 8 pages of drinks, and just 2 pages of food, but there were more interesting choices than I would expect at a sports bar, like lobster roll and truffle popcorn. Even the grilled cheese had pork belly! We had a group of 7, and everything was delicious. Nice to have someplace a little different for Oakbrook!"

  • "Hearing such great reviews of the original downtown Chicago location, I was really looking forward to trying the Oak Brook location. It was very crowded and noisy, which was expected. The food was just average. Was expecting more."

  • "I will take into consideration that it was a Friday and the Olympic hockey game was on....however; my chopped salad was hardly edible.....service was awful.....and one of my girlfriends got very ill all evening from eating the "fish tacos"........"

  • "Great place for groups and after work gatherings. Diverse crowd. Great beers on tap. Would not recommend it as a family place or intimate date night. The DJ seems out of place and extremely loud."

  • "Chose this last minute for a business dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Huge beer and decent wine lists. Food was not the star here, but what we had was very good. Chili was excellent...fish tacos could have used more spice, but tasty. One of our party was gluten free and found options easily...including a gluten free beer. Will be back."

  • "14 for a drink? Ok. Well that is more than DT Chicago which I gladly pay. The marketing dept tells the staff to continuely bug you after many times of saying I'm fine. Oh well. It just is the going rate I guess. Not worth it at all. Even the full size beers are not full size at all."

  • "Great for watching sports and having beers. The menu is short and just ok. The beer list was wonderful."

  • "The food was great. Not a huge selection on the menu, but everything we had was good. Great selection of beer. We didnt have our full party when we arrived, but they still seated us. Our server was very patient with us while we waited for the rest of our party to order. Would recommend to friends. Make a reservation if you go Saturday. It was busy!"

  • "Menu was extensive but quality of food was typical of any "sports bar" (ie. Mediocre at best)."

  • "We always like to grab a bite at a bar and this is a great new spot. Casual but a very nice atmosphere. The beer list is long, the food choices are good and the service was great. We'll be back for sure."

  • "Enjoyed Valentine's dinner at the Pour House. We were seated promptly for our reservation and we found the service to be very good overall. Our server knew the beer menu really well, which, for me, was a good sign for this establishment. Nice menu, not too big--good selection of small plates, salads, soups, sandwiches and entrees. The little extras for Valentine's were a nice touch--champagne and chocolate-coved strawberries. There's a huge bar with many TVs, both high- and low-top tables, as well as half-circle boons. This would be a nice place to watch a sporting event. And there's nothing like this in he Oak Brook mall, so it's a nice classy-casual addition next to the more-expensive steak houses."

  • "My wife and I heard so many great things about this place. It's unique gastro-inspired menu and 80+ craft beers on tap.We finally got around to visiting the place in the middle of the week for an early dinner. We mentioned to our waitress that it was our first time visiting the restaurant and I was interested in trying a small sample of 2 craft beers that I wanted to try out in order to make a decision. She refused to offer 2 small shot glasses of samples and insisted that if I wanted a sample,I would have to pay for 2 glasses of beer.I reiterated that it was our first time here, we live in the area and if she could just make a one-time execption to the rule.No dice. Food was mediocre, wait staff not helpful. The place is good for a few drinks"

  • "Great choices in beer. A bit overwhelming at first with all that is offered. But a great chance to try something different. Loved it tho!!! I thought they could of had a few more choices in food tho. Overall loved it, I will be going back."

  • "We came here after a charity race. All eight of us enjoyed the food and drink selection. Our server was very knowledgable about the menu, which helped a lot. He recommended the chili and it lived up to the hype he gave it. Would definitely return again. Little pricey but worth it."

  • "First time visitor, I was floored at the menu choices and adult beverage choices. Had an excellent time and already recommended to friends and family with pics on Facebook."

  • "Went for lunch on a snowy Saturday and beat the crowd. Large beer selection and decent wine selection. Had the fried pickles, fish tacos and fabulous fish tacos. The food was excellent and the sizes were large. This place is hidden away at the end of the mall on the first level so I dont think it gets as crowded as other restaurants in Oak Brook. Lots of tvs but they aren't too loud. Save room for dessert- the bread pudding is amazing. Great service- we'll be back."

  • "Went with family, including kids and grandparents. Very cold near door/glass in Winter (kids wanted to keep jackets/gloves on during dinner). Service was great, food was fresh and good quality. Had the cheese curds and firecracker rolls (can you say spicy--loved it) for apps, and for dinner had porch chops (yummy), chix ceasar wrap (excellent choice), fish tacos, (very good), and burgers ( just ok)."

  • "This is a happening place - totally fun noisy place to hang out. The food is very good - kind of classic bar food taken up a notch or two. The service is super attentive and quick. The place was packed the night we were there, our waitress was very busy. She treated us like we were the only customers in the restaurant. Man this place is noisy. People have a great time here and they are loud. This isn't a quiet romantic place to eat. It is a good loud place to cut loose. Oh their beer list is ridiculously long - I think there must be 90 beers. The wine list is not as long, but still a little crazy. And my gauge of a good bar - the perfectly made Manhattan with Rye, good vermouth, and bitters - done up exactly right."

  • "Went to the Old Town Pour House because it was a recommendation from a friend. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great, helped make our beer selection. Once our table was ready we moved from the bar and had extremely terrible service. Our waitress hardly showed up, we had to ask other waitresses for forks because ours brought our good and left. She had such an attitude if we asked for anything. The person I was with asked for dressing for her salad and it took at least 10 15 minutes to bring. The food tasted great, we had some tasty appetizers and a light dinner which was enjoyed. Unfortunately it was the poor service that ruined the experience. If we had good service my view of this place would have been different."

  • "The food was fine, and our server was very pleasant. Since this is a newer place that we went to on a Saturday night, not unexpectedly, the parking/valet parking was ridiculous. The noise level was very high. We were at a table for 4 and trouble hearing each other. Since there are more high tops than booths, I can see the noise level continuing to be a problem. Despite my first sentence, we're really not expecting to go back anytime soon."

  • "The Pour House is a fun night out. Food is good; very casual. However, if you want dessert your options are limited to 2 offerings; bread pudding & some kind of pie."

  • "This is definitely a hot bar right now. It's been open for a couple of months but there are still plenty of people that want to check it out. I made reservations and walked right in even though I heard others near the door complaining that they had been waiting a while. Good to know reservations mean something here. I ordered a flight of locals beers, others ordered cocktails - winter daisy very good. The food was ok wouldn't plan on going here for dinner again. The fish and chips were very greasy- great if you're coating your stomach for a night of drinking. Fried pickles - ok, wedge salad- ok, clam chowder- good, calamari- ok, cheese curds- ok."
