We went here to celebrate a birthday and it was nice, being our first time there. The food was standard to good quality and the selection was great, especially of you're a fan of seafood. It can be a bit difficult to get around if you have small children or people with mobility issues as it is tight for space when full. But I wouldn't pay the $36 per person charge again unless it's for a special occasion.

The waiter forgot to bring me my fries, which I had to buy separate from my steak. When I got them, it was 15 minutes after I got my steak , and I pretty much had to eat the fries alone..."without the steak"

Once again, The Old Mill's fine dining restaurant didn't disappoint during a recent outing to celebrate my mother's 65th birthday. We were seated in a picturesque area overlooking the wedding court/fountain, the service was exceptional from beginning to end, and the food was exquisite. They even prepared three delicious birthday desserts for us, complete with birthday platter and candle, free of charge. My recommendation is to always go as early as possible (usually 6 pm, but we arrived 20 minutes before that and they still happily sat us) to avoid too much of the Saturday evening crowds. Thanks again, Old Mill Inn!

This used to be a special occasion restaurant, but the food no longer holds up. In our group, the younger people found the food to be fair, but the older folks were more satisfied. People enjoyed the chicken, cheese selection and waffles. We did not enjoy roast beef, some of the salad bar offerings, or breakfast potatoes (which were undercooked and poorly seasoned). I was not happy that the plates were allowed to pile quite a bit before they were cleared (we went for the buffet).

We went to the Sunday dinner buffet and hadn't been in years. Wonderful atmosphere and lots of great food at a reasonable price for fine dining. Our only concern: the 'hot' bar dishes were extremely sophisticated and complicated. If you are not used to this type of food you may be disappointed. For example, the rice dish contained almonds and cranberries. The potatoes were similarly fancy. Otherwise a very enjoyable experience.

I have been to the Old Mill for Sunday brunch several times over the years and can say that the quality of food and selection has significantly gone down. We were a group of 10 celebrating a birthday and everyone was very disappointed in the quality of food. I would not recommend this brunch to anyone. Its a beautiful setting but that's it. The food is below average. The ham was under-cooked and chewy. The desserts looked like they sat out for way too long. The fruit has flies sitting on it and the cold cuts were pathetic. The wait staff was over worked and could barely keep up with all the tables. I paid $34 to eat a mediocre salad. Never again!!!What a disappointment.

Had my dad's 80th birthday party here for Sunday Brunch. There was 19 of us and it was perfect. the buffet style was perfect for a group size this large and we all helped ourselves. I had requested a table that wouldn't be too far from the food just because of the age or my dad and mom..... They were more then accommadating. The server was great, on our table clearing plates and serving coffee non stop; everything was great and most importantly it made such a great impression on my dad who had never been there. He thought it was very classy and enjoyed his birthday. Thank you Old Mill for perfecting a wondering occasion. Only negative:parking area is terrible! Just seemed very crammed, we were early arrivals-Was even worst when we left

We took our wedding party for brunch the following day, as thanks for their help and time. Neither of us had been to the Old Mill for brunch and just thought that it would be a nice place to go. We were really impressed with the variety and quality of food that was presented! Not only was the standard "breakfast" foods available, but it went well into various lunch type items both hot and cold. The desserts available were possibly the best I've seen in a long time. The ambiance was comfortable and cozy for our group of 6; lighting was not too dark nor too glaringly bright. The service was quick and polite. I would say overall, I would certainly return for another special occasion type of event.

We really enjoyed our dinner. The only issue we had was the room we were in. We were not in the main restaurant area but in the room on the left side. It was a bit noisy for our liking. It was our anniversary and I had assumed I booked the dining room not the smaller room (Terrace) where we ate breakfast. We came down from our rooms and were not told that our reservations were for the main dining room. The service and food were very good.

I find the parking lot right now with construction messy, I have always though that the walk to the Restaurant was not good especially for seniors, there was a lady in front of me with a cane and I didn't think she would make it up. Also I would like to see a bit more lighting in the restaurant seating areas. I have been coming to the Old Mill since I was in my early twenties and Im in my 70's now, haha, so a familiar outing for me, weddings, etc. A special place for sure. Cant wait to return with more friends from Bramalea where I know live but I am originally from west Toronto.

We celebrated our son-in-law's birthday in the terrace dining area. It's a lovely room with big windows overlooking the grounds, which are lush and include a fountain. The food was superb, from the appetizers to the main courses. Our waiter was attentive and charming. When I made the reservation, I mentioned that the occasion was a birthday celebration, and, at the end of our meal, the waiter brought my son-in-law a plate with a sampling of desserts with a lit birthday candle. I hadn't asked for that, so I was very pleasantly surprised. Marianne, a recent addition to the Old Mill's excellent dining room staff, arranged for that little surprise. The evening was perfect.

My wife and I took our friend from overseas to this restaurant for buffet lunch. The $26.95 price includes hot roast beefs, pork loin, chickens, fish and others, cold dishes includes salmon, shrimp, mussels etc, choices salads and desserts, it really worth the money. She really enjoys the foods and the environment. She will recommend her friends overseas and if she will visit Toronto again, she definitely will come back.

As we celebrated our 25th anniversary we enjoyed every second of it. Although we have dined here on several past occasions our server made this a more memorable anniversary with her kindness and attentiveness. Not to mention the selection at the buffet was out of this world and very well stocked/managed by staff as well. Would highly recommend the Old Mill for any occasion any time of day as we have had brunch, dinner and afternoon tea's here as well. Never disappointed. It will be a pleasure to return to the Old Mill whether a special occasion or simply we desire fine dining at it's best.

The service was very poor. Waited 20 minutes to get bill. They tried to take away our plates before we were finished. The waitress was very talkative to the neighbouring table and totally ignored our table. Was not impressed this time and have been there many times before. Also, found it to be too expensive so will probably not return. Food was starting to dry out and wasn't replenished as it should have been. We also were trying to impress guests so this wasn't the restaurant to do it in.

My girlfriend and I went to The Old Mill for our two year anniversary. I didn't want a crowded place like many downtown so we made a reservation there. I used open table asking for a quiet table for our anniversary. The atmosphere is way under-priced, and the service was excellent (career waiter). The host came to check on us and wish us a happy anniversary, and the chef sent out a complimentary small dessert plate which was very tasty (gluten free for my girlfriend). We loved the quiet, the decor, the staff, the wine list (well-priced) and the appetizer and main course. We loved it and will go back again before the end of the summer. Thanks to the staff for a good anniversary dinner. Success!

The food was delicious. We both had the watermelon gazpacho and found it was fresh and tasty. I had the lamb curry entree and thought it was fragrant without being too strong. I didn't try the chicken but was told it was great. My only issue with the lunch was the service. It took over 20 mins for someone to come by our table. Took another 10 minutes to get water. It seemed as if some areas had ample servers and our section did not. A couple different people came to assist us and one was just the friendliest. He definitely made up for earlier.
