Very nice place. The lunch buffet has lots of good selection. Friendly service and very good. A variety of fresh salads, soup, cheese, fruit, and hot food were available. There was plenty to choose from, even for a picky 3 year old (5 and under eat free). There were three large tables full of a variety of freshly prepared salads (pasta, grains, and veggies), a table with soup, cheese & breads, and a lovely buffet of hot foods and carving stations. The dessert table was lovely as well.
Our waiter was excellent and very attentive, even with busy service. The hostess attempted to act snooty and aloof, she seemed a bit displeased to be there.

The servers were attentive, the food was delicious, and the wine list was quite large. However, as my fiancé was driving, we each opted for a glass of wine instead of a bottle, which limited the selection of wines as they do not offer many by the glass. I also would have preferred to be seated in a quieter section of the restaurant. While my meal was good size for myself, my fiancé did not like the fact that his steak did not come with any sides – you have to order and pay separately for them! So all he had was an 8 oz steak. We each ordered dessert, but he left hungry. Service was outstanding, especially Natalia. Just happend to be the same evening as the show you had and it was amazing (Tom Jones and Neil Diamond impersonators). Thanks for a great night!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful dining experienceAlthough we've dined at the Old Mill before, on this occasion the meal was one of the best my wife and I have had anywhere including previous meals at the Old Mill.
We were not at all rushed, allowed to order and enjoy our drinks and order our meals when we were ready.
The entrees were well prepared and presented and the taste was wonderful. The scalloped potatoes with bacon were a delight. Although my wife didn't feel hungry enough to order a salad, the very tasty (think one of the dressings was a chutney) and well-presented salad was brought to our table with two extra plates, and my wife couldn't resist. Same with dessert.
The staff were very attentive without being intrusive.

Dimmer areas of the restaurant not so good for older diners. The staff who attended our table were very efficient, and the woman in particular very friendly and engaging. The food was excellent with a good variety, and the person staffing the carvery was warm and personal. We were celebrating a special occasion and this was just the place to do it. It did get a little noisy when more people started to arrive, but there's not much you could do about that, I don't think.1/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
