We both had the amazing clam chowder and homemade sourdough bread. we also split the oyster Rockefeller. The chowder is top notch, while the Rockefeller fell short. The salmon sandwich showcased the fresh salmon filter. I was seated at a window overlooking the marina, and had an enjoyable meal. All of my food was delicious and the waiter was attentive. The only improvement is to precrack the crab in the cioppino because it's too hot and messy to leave to guests to crack themselves.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceWe came here for dinner and had the best time. We loved everything about it. The special that night was abalone, which is my personal favorite, but almost impossible to find on a restaurant menu. It was elegantly served with the abalone shells, incredibly fresh veggies and a very nice risotto. It was absolutely out of this world delicious. My husband especially appreciated the clam chowder and the petrale sole, his personal favorites. Knowledgeable staff helped us pick out a great bottle of wine from a very nice - and reasonably priced - wine list. Our waiter was very attentive, but not intrusive. Instead, we had a quiet and very enjoyable linner with an awesome vuew including a sea lion. Everyone was friendly, and the ambience was wonderful. Salvator was our waiter and he was very attentive and helpful with choices including wine pairing. I had the macadamia crusted Halibut which was the best I think I have ever tasted. It was served with sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts and green beans with carrots julienned. I had the vanilla bean creme brulee for dessert and as with the dinner the presentation was beautiful. It got very good ratings on a couple travel sites so we decided to give it a try. We were seated at the window overlooking the water. All diners received a complimentary appetizer that was delicious. Both of our meals were very good, service was prompt & pleasant. Overall, it was a lovely experience. At the end of the meal, a red rosebud was presented to me by our server. However, somehow they couldn't find our Open Table reservation, which when I showed them the confirmation on my phone, they still made us wait until they asked the Manager if they could seat us. It was a little unnerving being there was no one waiting for a table at the time to begin with, and the restaurant wasn't very busy.
