Lots of free parking, can`t beat the open air, sand in your toes feel of this restaurant. Chef Fred and his staff create a five star experience! Loved the Mango and Lychee martinis, ahi poke, beef poke and kahlua pork nachos, and it only got better with the shutome, fish of the day. Wish there would`ve been room for dessert, maybe next time.

We had a great seat in the sand facing the ocean for dinner. The chairs were super uncomfortable though. House wines were a good selection and generous pours. I had fish that was prepared perfectly. My wife had the short ribs and lobster. The 5 spice short ribs were the best thing we ate in Hawaii. Desserts were limited.
We returned the next day for lunch. Nice burgers and fries. No draft beer though. :(

We ordered 2 entrees and 2 kid meals. My mushroom dish was so salty it wan not edible. The fish I ordered with it was blah, no flavor. Paid $37. My husband ordered the sampler dish and the tuna had a chewy texture which was kinda gross, the chicken was ok and the pork nachos was ok. My kids had the cheeseburger and chicken fingers. The cheeseburger tasted funny, they use alot of fillers. Breadcrumbs or something but didn't taste like beef. The fingers were basis fingers you get anywhere. The place was loud and service slow. The kids fries also came out cold. They sat for a long time before they got to us.

The last time we were at turtle bay, we ate here every other night because it was so good. We had dinner here on 3/14/12 and the food was awful. We had the specials...the tomba and the Ono. Both were overlooked and accompanied by a mound of mushy vegetables that had no relationship to the fish....it felt like whatever was in the kitchen and completely overpowered the fish. Service was non-chalant to the point of neglect despite half empty tables. What a disappointment....must be different chef and staff.
