As dependable as ever, however, two of the same item were ordered at different degrees of wellness and given to the wrong person. My husband was given a rare salmon which he would never entertain eating. While they were very accomodating, he had his meal when we were all finished eating. Not the best but he is a good sport.

Was really excited to see this grand piece of history and to be able to dine inside of it, as well. But, dining was just a mediocre experience at OHEKA. For appetizers, for example, they offer seafood meatballs made with lobster, but it turned out to be a lot of fried stuff accompanied with an unimaginative sauce. The spinach and artichoke dip appetizer was not much better than the frozen food versions you can buy in the supermarket, the chips were thick and overly deep fried. The seafood salad, on the other hand, was pretty good, but the chicken breast entree looked like their entree was prepared for the wedding that was going on - nothing special, wilted string beans. Most people around us were ordering burgers, that sounds like a much better bet at OHEKA. The Bloody Mary cocktails were pretty good too, they added the extra horseradish as we had requested. The waitstaff is young and somewhat inexperienced, additional supervision is needed. It does not seem hard to make some tweaks to this menu and to the waitstaff to make this a dining experience that matches the atmosphere of this great landmark.

We have dined on multiple occasions for a variety of reasons, weekday evening out, dinner with friends and a special occasion...all have been thoroughly enjoyable. The authentic castle architecture gives a very European feel to your dining and the unrushed service is superior to all local establishments. The food has been uniformly above average and the wine list satisfied even our most discriminating dinner guests. It will remain a top choice for us, and highly recommend to others.

Oheka Bar and Restaurant is truly a special place. You are surrounded by old world beauty and elegance. The menu was innovative and delicious. The service was timed perfectly. You don't have to be a guest of the hotel to dine there. It is truly a destination not to be missed.

This is truly a fairy tale encounter - from the incredibly royal drive through the gate and down the long driveway past thirty foot hedges standing at attention on either side like ceremonial soldiers at present arms - to the dramatic french villa court yard where you easily hand your car over to the valet - the sweeping grand double staircase entrance where you climb to the the waiting staff on the second floor -to the old world gentleman's club like bar which begs you to pause for a cocktail before dinner - to the beautiful yet uncrowded dining room where you experience excellent service and some pleasant culinary surprises - this is one venue you absolutely must try, especially for a special occasion. You won't be disappointed.

Our group enjoyed a lovely luncheon following our tour of Oheka Castle. The ambiance was outstanding and the service was impeccable, albeit a little slow. But we were in no rush and the food was excellent. The lunch was not too unusual, but it was prepared and served beautifully. My wife and I shared a large salad and a tasty wrap. The people in our group said that the hamburgers were the best they'd ever eaten. (By the way, I could not figure out how to rate 'noise level,' so ignore that. The place was not crowded so except for the conversation in our group of eleven, it was quite peaceful.)

First off, don't go on a Saturday night when there's a wedding. They won't let you walk around at all and you won't be able to see any of the castle. Secondly, the room where you will dine is pretty small and overlooks the parking lot. Most importantly, the food you'll be eating is wedding food. It's from the same caterer so you won't be enjoying a gourmet meal here.. pretty pedestrian for dining at a castle. So in sum, while you aren't likely going there for the food, if you go during a wedding you are basically just headed to a bad restaurant. Service pretty weak as well.. you just never felt like you were dining in a castle. Disappointing, waste of time and money.

The food is amazing, the ambiance is amazing and it is quite the experience every time we go. We were there the end of July for our anniversary, then took in-laws for their anniversary and now going tomorrow to celebrate our daughters engagement. We might as well just make a standing monthly reservation! Our server was wonderful, as usual and we spoke with Gary the owner, who is usually there and comes to each table to greet his guests and this time he even bought us a round of drinks, he is a great guy and makes the experience even better... Once again, I had the Shrimp Tempura appetizer, the best I have ever had and the Moroccan Rib Steak, all I can say is WOW !!!

It was a rare pleasure to dine with little to no noise! Oheka is a real gem for a romantic dinner that offers good food @ reasonable prices. The grounds are phenomenal (highly recommend it as a venue for a wedding) & although there was a wedding taking place on the same night as we dined you'd never know it as the restaurant is far from the event activities. The only downer was that because there was a wedding taking place, my husband & I were not able to walk the grounds before or after dinner. We do understand the need for privacy at an event like a wedding but I do feel Oheka could certainly find areas where there dinner patrons can also enjoy the lovely grounds!

Beautiful estate. The place is really not a restaurant, it is mainly for weddings. When you go in, it is confusing, you go through the wedding reception to get to the dining room. We were one of three tables eating there. Before dinner, we went to the bar. It was 100% wedding guests. It was the bridal party. We felt very awkward. The dining room has a beautiful view overlooking a gorgeous back yard. We watched the wedding ceremony which was lovely. The service and waitstaff were excellent. The food was very mediocre. I had a Seabass which was excellent but it came with mussels, clams, and calamari that was unnecessary and not good. My husband's meal was very mediocre also. They need a separate restaurant away from the weddings!

One of the most beautiful settings you will find anywhere and especially enjoyable when the weather is mild. You can dine outside or just have drinks. A wedding was going on during our dinner and it was fun to watch the outdoor festivities. The food is good but not what we would consider "city creative" but with "city prices", however. The servers are young and while very pleasant they can use a little more seasoning...for example knowing what to recommend and being a little more attentive. There is still some construction going on but the grounds are magnificent and the dining room is comfortable, not ornate. A nice experience overall.

The beautiful views at Oheka Castle are just breathtaking. It was my first time dining here. I booked my dinner on a fabulous evening when the weather was just perfect so I decided to dine outdoors on the patio. I felt like I was in italy, I had views of just mountainous green trees while gazing at birds in flight and being sarinated by their music. All of this I give 5 stars. Now the service was not what I expected...sadly I was really disappointed. My husband and I weren't greeted properly and our server was not that pleasant nor accomedating. Dining here you would only expect top "butler" type of service but that was lacking. If the service was there oh my what a fine Dining experience that would be! Hope the service personnel improves.

This was not the first time eating @ Oheka and everytime I've eaten there it's been a great meal! Fri night I ordered the ribeye steak med & I got a well done steak! I sent it back & it came out raw inside! Back it went & then it came out for a 3rd time! I started eating it & it was terrible Chewy & tough! I didn't complain & ate a few more bites! I was really disappointed & annoyed w/ myself that I didn't return it! If oheka wants to charge $55.00 for a steak they better get prime meat! Because this was far from Prime! We dined @ Oheka on 7-18 & we took our friends there for the first time! He ordered steak but didn't say anything about his steak! e went this Fri & asked what I had! I told them & then he said his steak was terrible!

How bad can dining in a castle be? None the less, Oheka manages to surpass your every expectation. The staff is exceptional and they will go out of their way to find your "special" bottle of wine. The food is glorious and updated frequently. When making our reservation, we requested a table outside, where we witnessed the rise of a beautiful full moon that through me back to a century, where I truly felt like I was royalty. The owner, Gary Melius, runs a tight ship and he stopped at our table to ensure that our experience was wonderful. No detail is missed at Oheka, beginning with the red carpet laid to greet you, the magnificient flowers always breath taking and present, which invite you to enjoy a special night at a very, special place.

We had a special occasion birthday dinner at Oheka. The castle and the grounds are outstandingly gorgeous. So elegant and tasteful. The food was very good as well. The filet mignon was one of the best I have ever had, in fact, everyone in our party enjoyed their food. The only thing lacking was the service. Our waitress was fine but not attentive enough. No one came to fill our water (we had to ask several times), they took away our silverware after the appetizers and neglected to replace them when the next course arrived, again, we had to ask. I would have given 5 stars if the service was better. In a fine dining establishment, I would expect outstanding service.

We won an overnight stay at Oheka Castle and couldn't wait to eat at the restaurant. The view was spectacular, and as it got darker and a storm came in the setting was so romantic and cozy. The service was wonderful, from a drink at the bar to the very end. The waitress was knowledgeable and offered some great suggestions. We had no idea a restaurant of this caliber was open to the public. It was a fantastic getaway.
