I don't know if server/waitress is the owner or owner's wife but she seems like she doesn't have any experience as waitress. As customer, we were a kind of confused. The foods are good except one but not very good.

Appetizers were good but entrees were blah!!! Cucumber water was very refreshing, the Pâté Plate was flavorful and the Cheese Platter was good! My son had the salmon with dill sauce served over rice which was the only entree that was good. I had the Beef Bourguignon, it tasted like your traditional American beef stew, actually my crockpot beef stew is much tastier! My bf had the Rib Eye, he ordered it medium and it came out medium-well, more well. He said nothing on his plate had flavor, even the trio of sauces weren't any good. My roommate had the special of the night a peppercorn skirt stake. He ordered it medium-rare, it also came out medium-well, more well. Why ask how they want it prepared? For $200+ very disappointed, will not return!

We were very disappointed! Food only fair -very expensive for what you get - served luke warm. Beef stew had pieces of bay leaf left in it. Service o.k. Chef/owner not friendly at all. Did not recognize birthday note on reservation. Will not go back!

A long wait for both apps and entrees. Only 1 in the kitchen and 1 unhappy server. It was a sunday night and I guess they got caught out by the number of people who showed up. We had a reservation and only a couple of tables when we arrived so didn't expect to wait so long. When the food eventually came it was very authentic French food, a rarity in the South Bay. Prices were on the high side but worth it interms of the food quality.

After reading a fairly favorable review in a local weekly newspaper, we decided to give Oh La La a try. The appetizer, an escargot in a puff pastry, was fairly good except for the fact that the bottom crust was overcooked and even a serrated knife could not cut all the way through it. The main course - a mahi mahi in mussel sauce, was bland. My husband ordered the mussels, which came with a side of French fries. He had to add salt, too. Overall - a disappointment. Our server was not the least bit engaging and seemed to be on autopilot. I noticed people at other tables looking impatient because the service was so slow. They get points for a nice ambiance and low noise level, but we won't be going back because the food just isn't worth it.
