A word from Oenotri

Oenotri is a southern Italian restaurant that is committed to authenticity, quality and value of product, and local sustainability and seasonality. Our name literally translates to "vine-cultivators" in ancient Oscan, a tribe that settled southern Italy before the Romans. We consider this a… philosophy as well as a name when it comes to food and wine. Oenotri serves lunch Monday through Friday and dinner nightly. We also offer late night dining Friday and Saturday nights from 10PM to midnight. We do not take reservations for lunch for any groups smaller than six.Continued

"We were party of three ladies gathered for a birthday lunch. Took over 10 minutes before we flagged the server to ask him to bring the wine while we waited for our 1st course and he said the "Som" was still searching for it. This is before we waited quite awhile before the server approached the table to take our initial orders.
Lots of staff, not busy, small lunch menu...what's the problem?

P.S. Absolutely the worst espresso I ever have tasted-undrinkable!"

"We celebrated my boyfriends birthday here and it was a delicious experience. The wait staff was very attentive. The chef was very accommodating to our vegan dietary needs. Different menu all the time. Definitely a new hot spot in the area."

"Creative menu that showcases the melding of unique and fresh ingredients. The pizza is excellent and highly recommend as a shared starter. The server was a bit overbearing with his recommendations and detailed descriptions of nearly every item on the menu. He was very polite, and eager to educate the rustics. ( As a diner, I prefer less intrusive, but quietly attentive wait staff. ) Overall experience was very positive."

"Was there 4-3-12. I had the nettle pasta with green garlic sauce -- was wonderful. Wine list is extensive -- much Italian. Sommelier was very helpful -- helped us pick a no-too-expensive bottle that went with both entrees. Also had their salumi platter to start -- great."

"Delicious pastrami sandwich and greens with a yummy light dressing. The margharita pizza was very ordinary but pricey. Fortunately, the arugula salad on top (from the sandwich order) made the pizza extraordinary. It should come that way! Nice lunch experience."
