Jean was our waitress & we had to keep reminding her to refill our drinks and she never once checked on us after we received our food. The whole time we were there she kept chatting to her friends she was also serving & would much rather give them her attention than any of the other tables she was serving. At one point my dad had to apologize to her for interrupting her personal conversation with her friends to actually do her job & refill our drinks but she only refilled the drinks for 3 out of the 5 people at our table. The food was great but I not want to be seated in Jean's area again.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.

The sides could use a little help though. I had scallops & she had red snapper. The sauces were super delicious and definitely made the meals stand out. Dessert was also very good. Oreo crusted mocha ice cream cake but my wife said the blueberry peach cobbler was just okay. The service was very good and the waitress was very attentive without being a bother. Prices seemed a little high for the size of the portions. But I did a lot of checking. This restaurant was lower than most others around.I would recommend this to a friend.

The food and service were fine, nothing outstanding. Our drinks were served without napkins and as ice melted we had water running all over the table. We shared a few dishes, one was the shrimp crab louie. Price was high for the three shrimp and few pieces of crab. You can get a whole pound of crab legs at Costco for $19.99....or all you can eat at a nearby casino. I had checked online and saw many comments about the crab artichoke bisque, it was indeed delicious. Huge negative on the two hour parking limit. I was with people who had not seen each other for decades....we had to leave when our 2 hours was up and went to the Jolly Roger.Special Features:

We arrived before six, in time for happy hour, and our appetizers were quite tasty. Dinner was at a leisurely pace. Salads are large enough to share. Our dinners seemed to get overall rave reviews. I had the scallops and would have expected more than three at a dinner-priced menu. Yes, they were jumbo, and yes, the rice and asparagus served with the scallops were very good. Dessert was amazing. Our server (Kelly) was very helpful and friendly - she made sure our dining experience went well. They offered a great wine selection. We had the Alaskan halibut (blackened and grilled) and it was superb!! I've had halibut at numerous restaurants throughout the country and this rates one of the best. The crab cakes were delicious, also! I grew-up in this area 30 years ago and it's nice to see the improvements and new establishments at the harbor. The server was slow getting to our table, the cocktail order took for ever to make and serve and then our dinner was the same situation. We were a party of 4 and while the food was good once it arrived one out of the 4 entrees ordered was completely wrong. They need to take a serious look at their service and staffing to make it.

Unfortunately, It seemed very understaffed. Each of us ordered wine and water for the kids. Our wine came within 10 minutes, but my kids didn't get their waters until their food came which was a whole hour later. That was annoying. I love eating right by the water & the boats in Oceanside Harbor. We started off with clam chowder which I thought was good except that it tasted like it had a few sweet bits of something which I later decided were probably bacon bits. I like my clam chowder with clams rather than bacon. The salmon I had was very good but nothing outstanding. There were 2 or 3 pieces & I believe they were encrusted or breaded in some kind of very light almond breading. My Heiniken was just the right temperature - very cold but not icey. The waitress was excellent. I do plan on going back to try the iced oysters on the half shell.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.

Large dining room was cold, uninviting and without ambience. Service was prompt, waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. One meal had to be re-cooked, one was uneaten and taken home, one meal was dry (angel hair pasta with shrimp) and the others mediocre at best - for taste. Exception, fish and chips but the chips frozen. Very limited menu outside of fish dishes. Altogether...very disappointing and we are unlikely to return based on this experience. I had the surf and turf for roughly $60 and it was extremely lackluster. Ordered filet medium rare and it came out way overcooked and tasteless. Only one that liked the food was our our 15 year old that ordered a wedge salad, hard to mess up. Everything else was a joke for the price. Will never ever return and will dissuade anyone I know to do the same. $250 down the proverbial drain.

Marci was a bit rude, our food was over cooked and portions not very satisfying. We miss the Cannery.

When we arrived around 1:15pm, they tried to seat us outside, which I declined as it was too cold for the baby & not what we wanted. Brunch ended at 2pm & about 1/3 of the items there were already empty and when we asked about it, we were told they weren't putting anymore out as it was too close to the end of the brunch. So they wanted to charge full brunch price and not provide the full brunch items. Finally, they did bring out more salads, but that was it. We were given one of our 6 meals free as an apology, but still didn't leave me with a desire to come back. The busser & server were nice & efficient.Special Features:

This is the second time we have been to this establishment - once before it changed hands. Everyone loved their selections, all cooked to order exactly as desired. I had the blackened ahi which was delicious. All of our vegetables were undercooked and had very little flavor. Honestly, the best part odd or meal was the complimentary bread and herb butter.
