  • "Two years ago our good friends introduced us to your cocktail hour event and we've been coming ever since. The appetizers are Outstanding and with a salad make for a complete meal. I, personally, order the mussels almost all the time paired with the Zinfandel, Edmeade. My husband had the linguini with clams last week and he loved them. We always start out with a gin martini and your bartender knows exactly how to make them. Keep doing what you're doing - we'll keep coming!"

  • "We love this restaurant! Always looks clean and beautiful, and service is top-notch. I tried one of the new menu options, red snapper, and it was good, but not as good as other items I've had on previous visits. That being said, the crab chowder was delicious as usual. I crave this one! The bread and oil was also better than your average bread and oil offerings. Our drinks were perfect, and the roasted garlic potato puree I got as a side was also very addictive."

  • "This time I took my wife and another couple for dinner. Unfortunately, although the food was great, the server really ruined the evening. She was very pushy from the moment we came in, was unfriendly and not remotely helpful. Although we were waiting on another guest, she kept asking us to order without her. Outside of trying to move us along, she paid virtually no attention to us and once we signed the check, she must have been watching because she ran over to grab it and then we never saw her again even though we were finishing up. Yes, she brought and collected the check before some of us had finished eating! It's just simply too expensive to be treated like that imo. There's other better options in Clayton if you want a night out."

  • "The service was not very good, which was surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. We were seated and no one came by for ten minutes. We tried to flag someone down and still no one came by. The staff even went to the table next to us, apologized to them for the delay, provided service to them, and passed our table. Our food was good but definitely not worth the price. Probably won't go back again."

  • "We met friends for lunch, it was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio with the windows open. A little noise from street (passing trucks mostly) but that's expected and it was tolerable. Service was top-notch, as was the food. While it wasn't necessarily romantic at lunch time, I could see where it could be in the evening. Will definitely go back."

The ambience didn't rate as high with us because of the noise level. The restaurant is very open including the kitchen, and tends to be a little on the noisy side. Otherwise wonderful."

The bread and oil was delicious! It was also louder than I like for conversation. The service was awesome! We had reservations and were seated right away and our server was great."

  • "We were very pleased on our first visit. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxed, and everyone seemed to be in a good mood and enjoying their experience. We had a superb waiter, and when we told him that the crab cakes were not hot he immediately removed and returned with a reorder. Shortly afterward, the owner(?) visited and thanked us for saying something as they thus discovered their temperature gauge was broken - not good when expected 120 guests in the next hour. Our main courses were beautifully presented and very tasty, but my clam chowder was lacking substance - I would not order again. My wife loved the flan which was also generously portioned. Overall a very fine dining experience ahead of a concert at the Sheldon."

  • "My fiancee and I have gone to oceano 4 times now. We've loved it every time. They recently updated their menus to give more options than before. I haven't tried anything that was less than amazing. This time I ordered the fish of the day, it was some type of sport fish like a marlin but I can't recall the exact name. The head chef came over to our table to ask how I'd liked it. The manager also came by to make sure everything was up to par. Since I'm in my mid twenties, most restaurants seem to ignore me and my opinion, I was pleased to find that this was not the case here. It just made me feel like our thoughts mattered to them."

  • "The scallops are prepared differently sometimes, depending on when you come. The two preparations I've had have both been really good. The seafood fettucine alfredo has more seafood in it than any seafood pasta I've ever had - so worth the price! The chowder is really amazing. The complimentary bread is a little tough, and the oil that comes with it is tasty."

  • "Our server Gary was pretty much a joke. We had to ask him to come back several times either to repeat himself or because we had to take charge of our own service needs. We had to ask if they were doing bread service that night- of course, they were, but it turns out none of the tables around us had received bread service form Gary until WE asked him about it. I had to keep placing my tea glass on the edge of the table to get it filled, & he took away plates while asking if were were done, not after asking. At one point I had to tell him to give me my plate back. He was dismissive & didn't deserve the $20 tip we gave only because we are religious 20% tippers. He did too many rude things to list. Risotto, wine, & seafood were sooo yummy!"
