Oceanaire Seafood Room - OrlandoWell trained staff brings me backThe menu is extensive and food well prepared. The service staff at The Oceanaire is top of their game with expert knowledge of each menu item. I have always found them to be attentive, professional, and courteous.
I find value in my dining experience but cannot frequent often because of the price structure. I feel the portion size of most entrees are properly done especially considering that I find myself tucking in for 2 1/2 hours beginning with raw bar items before moving onto appetizers and salads before the arrival of our entrees. Dessert is a must however 2 out of 5 of my dining companions found their desserts to be quite stale on my most recent visit.

The chef came to our table and spoke with us and created a garlic cream sauce instead. I finish my dinner 10 minutes before he did. This kind of wreck the moment of a great dinner for us, it was his birthday and I wanted everything right.
When you spend this kind of money you expect perfection. They didn't even offer him dessert or anything for the compensation.

Our waiter was wonderful and the manager was great. He was very sensitive to our request. My sister and I had pre-selected before we came to the restaraunt but were told they were not serving that particular dish that day, we expressed to the waiter how disappointed we were but he apparently told the manager and he personnally came to our table and assured us that we could order our selected choice. Greaat customer service and a caring manager. The ambiance was perfect; the valet parking was complimentary; the food was excellent as well as the service. The oysters were the freshest we had ever eaten. The blackened grouper was cooked to perfection. Lastly, the key lime pie is a must have!!
We even changed our plans for my son's birthday dinner and will be going back tonight.

The customer could change the way the meal was prepared by choosing the garnish and condiments. The food was superb with special flavors and was adequate in quantity. The vegetables were expensive but were meant to be shared. They were well prepared with delectable seasonings and spices. The sour dough bread was served.
This restaurant had an outstanding staff. Almost a dozen chefs made each dish a delight in itself. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about all the wines, and could give advice on anything on the menu. This is one of our favorite spots - we visit the one in Atlanta often. This was our first trip to the Orlando location - service and staff were GREAT. Plenty of local, fresh seafood options - I had the whole Florida Yellow-Tail Snapper (Angry Style) and it was AWESOME! Wife had the the New Zealand Salmon (Cajun Style) and it smelled and tasted SO GOOD.
As always we had a few Oysters too - they always have a large variety available. We had some out of Maine and they were clean and bright-tasting. Drank a bottle of wine and had some fun with the server. Great restaurant - was excited to see it so close to our hotel.3/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
