The crab cakes are the best (Eddie V, you are number 2). Halibut this time, with the hash browns. Yummy. Yes, the menu is more Landry's than it used to be, and we miss the old music/ambiance, but the signature food items are still great.

He was blown away by the ambiance of The Oceanaire, the food, but most of all the staff. .We love going places where the staff truly take pride in where they work, they are kind, and easy to chat with. I truly loved the people that we met while dining as well as the exquisite seafood which is hard to come by at other restaurants. Good Choice I must say it was very nice - they printed out our own special menu that acknowledged our Anniversary which was too cute and the food was OMG...just outstanding - and the wine was oooh sooo good - everything was perfect!!!! - I had a wonderful time with good friends and good food and our waitress Miriam was just AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Oysters were amazing - a sampling of various east coast selections. Incredibly fresh, delicious. Entrees were almost perfect. My wife's redfish done Oscar style was rich and perfectly prepared. I had a whole Pompano that was done as well as fresh fish can be done. Only quibbles were service and placement. The restaurant is pretty and there were ample tables. They seated us in a noisy, busy place. I asked to be moved and they put us off in an a corner almost alone. There were plenty of nice tables that were empty. The waiter was knowledgeable but too overly familiar and chatty for a nice restaurant. A lovely table for 10 on the balcony was perfect. What a fun to surprise to note that the take home menu contained a personalized birthday greeting. Service was superb and timely. Each of the salads and entrées drew good comments. Then after the dinner staff presented us with a lovely flaming desert to share for the table. It was not inexpensive but it was wonderful and well worth the price after no fresh halibut for months. I nenjoyed my meal tremendously and our server was so helpful in allowing us to see if the crabcakes did indeed resemble authentic blue crab maryland crab cakes.
