The menu is extensive, focussed almost entirely on seafood. The quality and preparation of our meals were excellent (there were four of us). I would recommend the the tuna poke and trout, which were my selections. The atmosphere is elegant/romantic, with dramatic blue lighting highlighting one wall, and the room retaining some of the accoutrements of the bank that it was in a previous life. The only glitch was that our knowledgeable and friendly server was often in absentia for extended periods. I would definitely remommend and return.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOceanaire was spectacular,Oceanaire was spectacular, we arrived about 20 minutes early and we were celebrating my mom's 87th birthday, they walked us straight to a table, made us feel welcomed, from the hostess, to the waitress, to the bus person, the staff was all smiles and very helpful throughout our entire dining stay. They even took the time to print out our menus with a Happy 87th Birthday written across the top that we were able to bring home. The food was delicious, all three plates, salmon & crab, baked stuff shrimp and sesame tuna, the side dishes were wonderful also. Our server Felix has a great attention to detail that did not go unnoticed. The food is pricey, no doubt, but the quality is arguably the best in Boston. I would like to see a bit more attention put on the wine list. The restaurant was busy and it had a very nice atmosphere. Not uptight. Dinner started with appretizers and salmon ala crab shrimp scampi to die for with baked Alaska for dessert. We were NOT disappointed. I would go back and will. The service was excellent and the food as well. There are many choices of how you can get your choice of fish cooked, topped and seasoned. I had the Bay of Fundy Salmon grilled done 'Black &Blue', which is very slightly cajun with blue cheese crumb topping. It was the 'best' salmon I've ever had. My son got steak and said it was Excellant. The desserts were also quite good. It is in an old very large bank in Boston and the spaciousness is wonderful with a large grand room feel. Great bar as well. Don't hesitate to go. This one was no exception. I had the stuffed shrimp and my wife had the fisherman's platter. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and had a wonderful flavor. The platter was a whole lot of food and again perfectly cooked. Neither of us could finish our meals as the portions were huge. We both had the Clam Chowder as a appetizer and it was equally excellent. We've been several times before and have always had great food and service. Even though it was extremely busy that night, this visit was exceptional. Our waiter, Jared, was funny and engaging, as well as helpful and knowledgeable. There's a nice bar to relax and enjoy some wine before dinner. The service there has been very slow the last couple of times.
