OceanTwo Year Anniversary!After having heard about ocean for years, my wife and I decided to give it a try for our two year anniversary dinner. The only thing that I can say about this restaurant is that it was amazing. From the valet service at the door, to the hostess, the ambiance, the service, and not to mention the food. My Lord the food was amazing, an excellent wine list too. About the server, we had a gentleman named Larry, and for anyone visiting this restaurant I highly that you request him as your server. Never before have I had a more knowledgeable server. He could tell you every detail you could possibly want to know about the wine list and the menu. The crab cake was good but not as good as the rest of the food. We wanted to include our two children, ages 11 and 7, and treat them to a special night. We were amazed Ocean offered a "kid's" menu. The "kid's" menu was very elegant in a kid friendly way. Our server was very helpful and friendly with our children. We tried it out and were really impressed with the service and the food. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and ingredients. For an upscale place the prices were very resonable. Great!! Initially we were sat in a table close to the window, we were crammed between 2 other parties, almost as an after thought. The seat my husband was in was a couch and very low to the ground. The parties next to us might have been considered "with us" because we were so close. They were also very loud and I did not want them listening to our conversation which would happen because we were so close.
I asked the hostess if we could move, luckily, it was a "slow" evening for Ocean and she readily had a more private table available for us. I was so happy for the move, would NOT have been happy to sit where we were. I REALLY appreciate Ocean accommodating us.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
