In a few words,,,,,a wonderful tropical setting; we would have thought we were in the caribbean with the view/waterfront surroundings of this fine restaurant. Restaurant had palm trees while we watched a sunset wedding. Entrees/appetizers expertly presented and delicious. Service was very good-- we will, no doubt, return this summer for an encore engagement. Had the crab cakes, buratta salad, followed by salmon, and seafood pasta special which were all fresh and simply done unlike previous over-conceptualized dishes. Desserts were poor but since our server Keltsey had forewarned us, it doesn't affect out experience. My wife recognized the new manager Sirus from an episode of Long Island Medium and he visited the table several times to check in and also bought us coffe and tea to make up for the dessert. Thanks! Staff could have been better prepared. Waitress who delivered our sushi didn't know what she was serving. Waiter seemed out of breath and was sweating. Staff was very friendly and eager to please. Sushi chef was very nice and waved to us from his outside kitchen. Views are fabulous. Nice get-away location without leaving the island.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasently Surprised!!If you ignore the fake plants and cruiseship carpets, the new "Ocean" is definitely worth trying out. We ordered Crabcake app, Baramondi, and Filet Mignon. All done very well. Service is professional and Cyrus (GM?) made sure we were checked up on to make a nice touch. Menu was more sophisticated than before but cost us less than last year when we came. The outdoor dining is clean and you feel like you're on vacation. Go to watch a sunset as they are amazing. The shrimp cocktail are very good, super jumbo. Oysters on the half fresh and tasty. We split a caesar salad which is good size for two and a ribeye steak which is also enough for two. The wine could have been a bit more chilled and the pour was a little low. The server was attentive and friendly. However, she could have used more help from the bus station. I had a delicious mussels with marinara sauce in bread for appetizer, which was a big portion. I couldn't eat my ocean pasta entree.
My husband had filet mignon.
Mussels was very cleaned.
