A word from Oasis Grille
According to the Mercury News (2007), "The menu in the main restaurant is equally eclectic (compared to its wine lounge), with unusual dishes such as pumpkin borani, which features spicy peppers and garlic, and aushak, pasta filled with leek and cilantro and topped with garlic-yogurt sauce and sautéed ground beef, and simpler starters and entrees such as grilled salmon and beef, shrimp, lamb, and chicken kabobs. The owners have designed their menu to accommodate the palates of those who like spicier, more exotic dishes and those who prefer milder, well-prepared salads, vegetables, and grilled seafood and meat.” Come experience this treasure in Downtown Pleasanton in either the main dining room or our relaxing wine lounge.Continued

  • "This is one of our favorites. Outstanding menu and the kabobs are our favorites. Good wine list, great full service bar. Enjoy a stroll downtown before or after dinner. Omar and crew are outstanding in every aspect. A real treat."

  • "The food there is just terrifice. I had the rack of lamb and it was perfect. The pumpkin borani is just great and so is the flat bread."

  • "The stuffed Moroccan Chicken is outstanding! We also like the sampler appetizer plate. Very consistent good food and this restaurant has never disappointed us."

  • "I reserved the table for the rose garden....there was NO rose in the patio! Compare to the quality, the food is pricey. The server took the rest of my salad without asking if I would like to eat more or take it home. "

  • "We have been to this place numerous times and we keep coming back. The food is consistently good and the service is as well. "

  • "My husband and I had a perfect romantic delicious, tasty and healthy time in the patio surrounded by beautiful flowers. Drinks and food were excellent and the service couldn't be better. The weather was amazing so having the patio option was a plus. If you want it more formal, inside the restaurant is beautiful and more fancy. We live in San José but definitely will come back soon. Perfect for a romantic date and groups as well. We will bring some friends next time to share it !"

  • "I love the food at this restaurant this was my second visit and I enjoyed it a lot but I thought the food I had was not as good as when I ate dinner here about a year ago. I think it was what I ordered. Our pumpkin appetizer was delicious. This is a real neighborhood gem. Try it when in Pleasanton. "

  • "This was our first visit (we used a restaurant.com coupon) and we were extremely impressed. Their particular strength is their appetizer menu. I recommend making an entire meal of that. Our entrees were good (tabuli and the pesto pasta) but the appetizers, including the pumpkin with yogurt sauce, were heavenly! We sat under a big tree on the patio. It was a warm night. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was the service. It was slow from the beginning to the end."

  • "Stellar food, great ambiance, noise level fine for a good conversation. The food took a bit of time to arrive, but it was definitely worth the wait. I will definitely be returning!"

  • "We had a nice dinner last Monday night at Oasis Grille. Their food is consistently good, we are never disappointed. My husband loves the shrimp kabob and gets that almost every time. I had the rack of lamb which was very tasty. It was a very pleasant dinner."

  • "This was my first time going to Oasis. It was recommended by my boss who doesn't live far from there. We came as a group from work and had an excellent time. Food and service was great and definitely worth going back the next time I'm on that side of the country."

  • "Came here for a Saturday morning brunch to celebrate a birthday. Great service with excellent food reccomendations by our server Sierra. We all had an idea if what we wanted them after the waitress explained the specials. We all changed our minds on what we ordered based on Sierra's reccomendations. We all loved her choices. Great wine list, great food, and great service."

  • "We absolutely loved the Oasis Grille! The food was wonderful, starting from the delicious flat bread, to our beautifully presented Caprese starter, to the amazing filet mignon kabobs with the Cilantro Chutney, and the Oasis perfectly Grilled Salmon! And the Warm toffee nut cake dessert is as our waiter Dominic put it "A few seconds of heaven!" The ambience was just perfect, and the service outstanding. (Thank you Dominic for all your great suggestions) This was a last minute decision, and was exactly what my husband & I were looking for, so glad we chose to go here...."

  • "The service was great. We had a group of seven and we ordered the hummus and mixed appetizers, which was very good. For the main course we order kebabs for the table to share - Chicken, Shrimp and Koobideh. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the shrimp was good. The Koobideh, unfortunately, was dry and a bit tough. The atmosphere was very good and contributes to lively discussions."

  • "Our waitress was great, very friendly and attentive. The hostess was a bit on the rude side, but she was young and I can ignore that. Overall our experience was pleasant and we loved the food!"
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "Overall the food was very good as was the service. My only drawback was the noise level which was loud. Perhaps due to the layout. Lks like a great place for outdoor dining."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "Of course, pumpkin borani is the signature dish. Been to Oasis a number of times and they seem to "forget" you often there. You can be seated, then wait and wait for your water. Or be brought your appetizer, then the forget to bring your entree till you ask. Not always, but service is hit or miss."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "We enjoyed the food, the service was excellent, but the noise level was way too noisy. We had to shout at each other to be heard. We are senior citizens and although we like lively...this was the noisiest restaurant we've ever been to. It was probably due to the lively bar scene...probably great for younger patrons."

  • "Took friends to dinner - Service was poor, long wait for entre which was delivered over cooked and cold."

  • "Excellent food preparation and good service. Popular and therefore could be loud so ask for quieter option. We did and were pleased overall."

  • "Had heard good things . . .can't imagine why! Expected quality food; found some dishes tasty but some pedestrian at best. Caesar salad was served with a bottled dressing and when I asked the waitress about it her answer was that this item was not one of their specialties. The rack of lamb (4 little chops) and lamb shank were okay but a weird presentation for the shank with the bone chopped into three sections. Hummus side was bland and needed lemon, garlic, tahini -- anything! Ordered two desserts, neither of which was good enough to waste calories on. Asked the waitress if there was a pastry chef or if the desserts were from an outside vendor, she said they were brought in. Certainly not worth another visit!"

  • "We were a group of 12 women co-workers. I found the Oasis Grille on a review website and it was highly rated. Every reviewer raved about the appetizer Pumpkin Boroni so we HAD to order some. It was all that and more. Baked butternut squash with garlic yogurt sauce. YUM. With 12 women we had a variety of appetites - large, small, vegetarian, carnivor. Everyone was happy with their meal. Service was excellent - they gave us our own room - and the food recommendations from our server were spot on. Prices were reasonable, ambiance was warm and inviting and I would definitely go back when in Pleasanton."

  • "I went to Oasis Grille with 2 friends for lunch. The server took a long time to take our order and then after the food arrived we didn't see him again and I had to go find him and ask him for the check. I found him at the hostess stand having a conversation with her. I got the Mediterranean salad and the tomatoes were not edible. The salad dressing was way too vinegary. I would have liked it if the waiter checked back with us so I could have asked him for some extra olive oil to balance the dressing. The salad was very bland and tasted like lettuce with vinegar on it. The ambiance was nice and the restaurant is beautiful inside but based on the level of service and the terrible salad that I paid $10 for, I would not go back."

  • "I requested a table for 2 the same day of my reservation . when I showed up they didn't have my name . I was able to get a table and the food and service was excellent . But I think there is a problem with your internet reservations , I had received an email saying my reservation was received and confirmed.Next time I'll just call."

  • "Good food and a good time. I love their mediteranean menu. The shish kebobs are delicious. Cilantro-jalapeno hummus also amazing."

  • "My husband and I went to Oasis primarily to test it out as a possible venue to host a rehearsal dinner for our son, his bride, and their good friends. As soon as we walked in, we knew it wouldn't be the place. While it was lively and fun, and had good food, it was so noisy that my husband and I had to yell at each other to hear one another. We were seated near the front door and not far from the bar; if it had been possible, we would have asked for a quieter table, but none were to be had. My husband had the chicken curry and I had the shrimp kebob, following their signature pumpkin and flat bread appeetizer (which was delicious). Both of us thought the food, while tasty, was just average in quality. OK, not great."

  • "Right on Main Street in downtown Pleasanton sits Oasis. The sign out front is a bit small, but don't pass it by accidentally. When you walk in, you will be led to a pleasant table in the nicely decorated dining room. I don't drink, so I can't speak to the quality of the wine list. But the people a couple of tables away seemed to be enjoying it thoroughly. The food is tasty, and a nice departure from the typical dinner places around town. Oasis definitely has its own feel, and every item we tried had a wonderful Mediterranean flair to it. The best part was that even with the beautiful dining room, cool vibe, and tasty food, the prices were very reasonable."

  • "We went after reading yelp reviews and went basically prepared for poor services and dry chickens, but good beef and other dishes. So as we sat down, we quickly made our selections and placed our order. We mainly ordered beef and shrimp dishes with one chicken kebab to try. Service was just fine, I think because we made proactive movements. (I say so because I could see how slow it can be). Chicken and shrimp were dry as kind of expected, but good seasoning. Beef was good. So everything went as expected. The ambiance is nice. I thought the noise level comfortable, and some people are dressed nice and some were casual, but overall it had a feeling that everyone was there for happy occasions. Overall it was a pleasant experience for us."

  • "This is the third visit to Oasis for us. They're not our most favorite restaurant in downtown Pleasanton, but had a reservation opening at 5:30, while our other choices were already booked up. What I didn't know was Oasis had a specific Valentine's Day menu, a five course offering with a few options, at $75 per person. Add a $35 bottle of wine and tip and we're at $215 for the outing. Now my honey is well worth the expense, but having booked on Open Table, this detail was not know ahead of time. We asked to be seated in the far right hand corner room of the restaurant where it is a bit more cozy and quiet. Our overall experience was very nice and I'd recommend the Oasis to anyone who has not been there. Food was well presented and tasty."

  • "The wood paneling in the dining rooms creates a warm, welcoming environment. Our server was excellent, and the food (kabobs) juicy and flavorful. We really enjoyed our dinner and definitely recommend it. The outdoor area looked inviting, and we are planning to eat there again in the summer when we can enjoy eating outside."
