  • "I was extremely disappointed upon my first visit, a business diner with 3 very senior clients, and huge Yankees fans. We had a 5:30 reservation and were at Gate 6 at 5:20 but were held for 30 minutes because of a Jeter figurine giveaway delay. We called the restaurant and said we were being held, but they still cancelled our reservation after 15 min. We finally, and thankfully, were seated, but an hour and 15 minutes after our reservation! We didn't get to the 7:05 game until 8:45. We were so excited for the NYY Steak expereince, and had planned well ahead, but got sideswiped by the stadium hold up and the restaurant gave us no option but to wait. I understand it was a tough situation, but it was still a huge fiasco for me."

  • "What a great place to celebrate the Yankees, Derek Jeter's last season, and my Birthday! Food & service was wonderful. We'll be back again!! :)"

  • "Once you are able to secure a table even with a reservation the wait is worth it."

  • "I have heard that NYY Steak was in the conversation for best steakhouses, so I went on 07/21/14 before a Yankees game. I ordered the Porterhouse cooked "medium well". I also asked for mushrooms and onions as a side for my steak. To my surprise, the waiter informed me that the restaurant does not have either sides. I have never been to a steakhouse that didn't have either. My steak was barely cooked, not pink, but raw. The waiter apologized, brought it back , and then I got it back 5 minutes later slightly charred on the sides, but still uncooked in the middle. I would have been better off going to an Outback! A real waste of $179.00 . Service was excellent, but not the food. Also got the side of Spinach which had zero taste."

  • "My girlfriend and I came here for lunch prior to the Yankees game and this restaurant was just the place to kick off our perfect day. The service and staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was the real star with some of the beat ahi tuna tartar I've ever had. We will definitely be back!"

  • "Our dining experience continued a great day at Yankee stadium. I attended with my Father, Brother, and my Son. The staff was excellent, and our waiter was awesome. The food was just what I expect to enjoy at a New York Steak House, especially one with the Yankee name. W were taken early on our reservation which was great seeing as the game ended a little early. My 8 year old son was with me and had no issues with the Menu. Overall fantastic dinning experience. A great way to celebrate a Yankees win"

  • "My experience at NYY Steak was the worst dining out I have ever experienced. I ordered the Bone-In Rib Eye and Fries. Bone-In was more bone than Rib Eye and the fries were a total disaster. Must have been the left overs from a prior order. Seating me right be hind the Host Station made me feel more like a Host than a Guest/Customer. I could not believe that I traveled from Boston, yes Boston Ma, to see my two favorite teams play and have dinner and be so disappointed with my meal. The Yamkees winning made it a little more digestable. (Not Good)"

  • "Made a reservation for 3pm during an extremely hot and humid day game. Went into NYY. Dead quiet.(Its the 5th inning) Stood at the hostess desk for 10 minutes. Eventually seated at a table in the back next to a folding screen. Behind the screen the entire staff was sitting down to lunch.(Employees need to eat too, no objections). We sat at our table alone for another 15 minutes. Finally given a dinner menu, asked for a lunch menu. NOPE. Too late. (it wasn't when we sat down) The food was fine. Service poor. Air Conditioning good. Nothing compared to when it first opened."

  • "Have season tickets to the Yankees but had never eaten here before. Boy, had I been missing out! Loved it! Food was amazing...steaks melted in your mouth! A&I tuna tartare for appetizer was amazing! Nice selection of wines, both bottles and by the glass. Too full to try the desserts but they sounded delicious. Service was terrific! Will definitely go again and look forward to trying their midtown location!"

  • "We have been to Yankee Steak at the stadium a half dozen times and have always found it to be a fun place to go before a game. This time our waiter service was not good. He was not attentive. My husband waited almost to the end of his meal before being able to order a glass of wine. My seared tuna was good but would have been better if wasabi or other condiments that are usually available in other restaurants with tuna were made available. My husband's sea bass was flavorless and certainly not worth $38. Looks like it's back to hot dogs and popcorn next year!!!!"

  • "Have been here many times-always fresh seafood with very nice presentation. Good salads and drinks are not watered down. A little loud which is to be expected with the bar very close to seating."

  • "The facility is a nice touch to a fun outing at the stadium, with a great steakhouse feel, impressive views and a nice touch of the personalized steak knives on display in the front of the restaurant. Inasmuch as the experience is as expected, the menu could use a bit of refining. The drinks are priced as one would expect in the current sports economy and the lobster and oysters were a nice addition to the day. My only suggestion would be to offer some more NYC kid-friendly meals such as an upscale burger or a smaller steak portion other than chicken nuggets. As most people attending on weekends are likely families, it would have been nice to walk out of there without having to spend $65 a person for my four children ."

  • "App of Ahi Tuna was spot on. Pretzel roll looked better than it tasted but was still good. Spreads were nice. Steaks were very good! Cooked perfect and very good taste. We ordered both sauces and mixed our own on the side and turned out to be worth the price. Onion rings were amazing. Just on the boarder of being too greasy but not. Just the way a good hardy ring should be. Very tasty. Creamed spinach could have used a slightly Better prep and finish as it tasted it's light bit salty. Overall a very good experience. Would do it again if I was looking for a great steak experience dinner. Plus it's in the greatest stadium in the world, And the decor of everyone's signature is just great!"

  • "We arrived early for our reservation and decided to have a drink at the bar. That was great. When I booked the reservation I stated it was our 35th wedding anniversary. When it was time for our scheduled reservation, the hostess said they were preparing a special table for our anniversary. Must to my disappointment, it was a table for 2 alongside many other tables for 2. Our son called ahead to pay for our dinner & to have dessert sent to us. They never sent dessert & never told us it was from our 2 sons, daughter-in-law & grandchildren. They only gave us one name. That was disappointing."

  • "NYY Steak is the only place to have a nice meal before or during the ball game. Love the raw bar sampler for 2 and their steaks are perfect. Service was great, even decked out in Red Sox regalia!"

  • "Manhattan quality stake house right inside the House that Jeter built. Outstanding steal, sides and service. High end steakhouse ambience and mere steps to get to your seats in time for the first pitch. A great option for a fancy meal right before the game. Will definitely be returning."

  • "Our experience at NYY was amazing. Our waiter, Farouk was sincere and charming and knowledgeable about all courses and beverages. The food was prepared perfectly and I couldn't finish my small filet mignon (my son did). The mashed potatoes were perfect. Our lobster Mac and cheese could have been warmer, but the flavors were great. the volcano ice cream was a perfect ending. we can't wait to eat there again."

  • "Took my Boston Red Sox loving son in law to a Yankee Red Sox game. We started off with a steak dinner at NYY Steaks. A bit pricey but it is steak and at the Ball park as well. So about what I expected. Wines were good as well. I recommend it for that special occasion. A very good experience. Oh yeah the Yankees won as well."

  • "After a great day at the Stadium, NYY Steak was the place chosen to have a good meal. The meal itself was good; and the Yankee game was still being played, visible from the many TVs around the restaurant. The seafood tower, the steak bacon and fried oysters were all good appetizers. The steaks (we ordered 4 long bone rib eyes) were also very good, but two of them were cooked a bit under. The steaks were not finished because they were very big. When it came time to wrap-up and bring things home, they only wrapped up the bones for us. So even though our 4 steaks had about one-third of the meat still on the bone, they only packed up the bone. What a waste of money."

  • "nice settings. wine list bit short on some choices.Steak ordered was salty first time and raw not medium well. Returned steak and given fresh one but still not cooked medium well. Coffee was good and cheese cake was good"

  • "I was very disappointed with the taste of the food for the prices. The Caesar salad was bland and some what dry. My rib eye steak had very little flavor, my wife's porterhouse was somewhat dry, & my nephews rib-eye was charred. The creamed spinach & lobster and mac were sub par. On a good note, my neice did enjoy her chef's choice of salmon, the crad cakes were tasty, & the portions were very good. The Amaretto volcano ice-cream dessert was delicious!!"

  • "I had a 5:30 reservation for 8 and was with an important client. The table wasn't ready which was ridiculous since nobody would have come at 4 PM for dinner. The service was slow and our server had at least two tables of 8 and the other table had Ricky Henderson with them and clearly they received premium service while we were totally neglected. I spent just under $ 1000 and would have spent more if we had dessert, but after 2 hours of neglect, we did not want to miss any more of the game as the seats cost me almost $3000 and we wanted to watch the game live. Very Very Very Disappointed. Would not go back."

  • "Best place for a good meal before a game at Yankee Stadium. It's the perfect start for a great stadium experience. 3 tables away was Ricky Henderson. Bonus, walk - off home run. Yankees Win."

  • "The food at the NYY Steakhouse was beautifully presented by an incredibly attentive wait staff. The food was very good. The Long Island iced tea was a bit light on the liquor, especially at $17 per glass. ( glass was small to medium sized) The noise level was incredibly loud, I couldn't hear the person across from me. Highlight of dinner, former Yankee eating dinner right behind mine. We had a hard time getting in the stadium even though we told security staff that we had a reservation & we had tickets in hand. We waited in the stadium gate doorway more then 10 minutes with a staff member blocking our way. Finally we left gate 6 and walked around to another stadium entrance where we were able to get in. Leave yourself plenty of extra time."
