Nuovo RestaurantShow Time !My husband and I decided to try Nuovo on a recent Saturday night before catching a show at the Hanover Theater. We had an excellent meal at Nuovo! The menu is traditional Italian/Mediterranean cuisine and very well done. I often hesitate when I see risotto on a menu (its rarely cooked properly) and with my surf&turf special I had a side dish of risotto and it was cooked perfectly! The service was excellent, the waitstaff is knowledgable and attentive and when it came time to get the bill the waitress asked me if I was going to the Hanover and if I had a membership card I was entitled to 10% off the bill! That put the perfect finishing touch to a lovely dinner at the Nuovo. We will be back! The menu has many tempting choices -- we ordered the osso buco and and salmon Atlantico, both of which are highly recommended. We were a party of 6, and two in our group had the filet - which was incredibly tender and flavorful! They gave it an A
Two in our party had the Chilean Sea Bass, and one gave it an A, one an A- (that was me - I would have liked it to have a bit more spice in the sauce)

I had the special and the waitress did not tell us the cost of special and we were surprised when we got the bill. My special was even higher than the most expensive food on the menu. I think that when the cost is that much ($33), the customer should be alerted of this. Nuovo has become our favorite Worcester area restaurant. My mother loves the lamb chops and she loves lobster. Recently Nuovo had a lobster special. My mother ordered the lobster for her meal, and the lamb chops to take home. The owner/chef came to the table and told my mother how he would prepare the chops so that she could put them in the oven for 15 minutes and they would be cooked just right. With the modest sized dining room it seldom becomes noisy. The food has been universally excellent and the service as well. The valet parking right at the front door is really appreciated. Both were excellent. A very nice white wine from Tuscany (Pinot Bianco) went well with both dishes.
Excellent spot for pre-show dinner at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts, but not within walking distance; so leave enough time to park in the garage across from the theatre.
No time for dessert, so no information to give.
Our waitress and hostess were very nice.

We went on a Saturday at 7:00pm and the place was packed. While they do seem to jam people in a little bit it was still romantic. The wait staff was attentive, without being pushy.
