This place was highly recommended on yelp. I made reservations two days in advance and I'm glad I did because the place was packed! I requested a nice, romantic table for two and that's exactly what I got. Their wine, beer, and cocktail selection is enormous. If you love craft beer like me then this place will not disappoint. The food was also awesome. I had the wild salmon while my wife had the salmon brusque and Korean short ribs. The ribs were initially cold but they quickly fixed that by giving a new plate of ribs rather just heating up. The waitress was friendly and prompt. The menu is varied and interesting and brunch cocktails were lovely and I was glad that I could have a sandwich instead of eggs. . The price for brunch was reasonable. I will always make a point to come here when in SLO. Excellent creekside dining and the food is amazing and once again the servers superb. We dined on the creekside patio, and it was all we'd hope for. Lovely setting, attentive but unobtrusive service. Shrimp/avocado spring roll appetizer was delicious; lamb chops and petite filet perfectly cooked and nicely sauced. Good selection of wines by the glass. We were constantly juggling plates and glasses with the wait staff. They should send someone empty hands, along with the food person, to make room on the table for the next item or get smaller plates and bowls.

The service was impeccable, beginning with their willingness to change our reservation time the night before to the fabulous creek side seating. Loved watching the ducks at play. Savory creeps with asparagus, ham and mushrooms were excellent. Hubby thought salmon cakes Benedict lacked some flavor. Son enjoyed lamb entree. However, I only give it four stars overall because there was no kids' menu for brunch. We had a great creekside table and by chance the same server we had the last time. We started with the soup of the day...fantastic. I had the petite filet and my wife had the scallops both were excellent and prepared to perfection. We had a great bottle of local pinot, followed by outstanding dessert. It was enough for a meal, especially since I enjoyed their warm crusty bread basket served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. Only negative aspect were those propane driven patio heaters, which on one side enabled outdoor sitting in the evening, on the other side they remain to be carbon-belching monstrosities. The restaurant was busy, but I saw lots of smiling diners, so they must also have had a good experience, too. We often bring our dog dining on the gorgeous tree lit creek side patio, they bring our menus and a water bowl for our girl--talk about dog friendly! They mean it! We send many guests from our estate lodging to Novo and these are just a few reasons why: great ambience, food and service.
