"I live in Washington, DC, and often visit my parents in Metuchen. Love Novita. We went on Saturday night, April 7 and had a very good dinner. Everything was excellent. Although we enjoyed the Live Music, it was a bit loud and it seemed to me that it should start a bit later than 7:30pm on the weekends. Because my father has mobility issues, we choose to sit in the Bar/Lounge area, as the 2 steps to the dining room are difficult for him. But as usual, we had a very good time and will return soon!"

"Returned twice after initial visit. Tremendous change from 4 years ago when the ambient was just as good but the food left much to desire. I had to return for the second and third time to confirm that indeed the first experience was not a aberration. Here it goes, this is definetely a "gem", the Chefs sampler is something that one must try at least once. Great food, delicately prepared, perfect temperature and presentation.
Novita's has convinced me and my wife, we are believers.
Carefull though, the bar has been set high."

"This was our second time there and it only takes us about 5-10 minutes to get there from where we live in Edison. Both times were excellent experiences! We had company in from Jersey City and they loved it, too! We're just thrilled to have such a great restaurant nearby in Metuchen with such a great atmosphere! Food is outstanding, reasonably priced, and service was excellent, too!"

"Good food, but limited menu. It had more of a bar vibe than I was expecting. I probably wouldn't go back, but if you are in the area and wanted to get a decent meal at a nice bar then I'd definitely recommend it for you."

"We had reservations for Valentine's Day. We got there a bit early, checked in and got some drinks at the bar. They pretty much forgot to seat us until i asked about it 20 min after our reservation time. Whoops! Either way the food/drinks were good and they had live music which made it pretty romantic and fancy. Not really a restaurant for kids...more so 20 somethings and up. I will go there agin."

"We decided last minute to make a reservation for the Novita. I have to say we were very impressed. perfect pick for our valentine dinner. They even called us to make sure that the seating they had was suitable for our evening we did decide to change our reservation to a later time for better seating. The only minor thing was that the lighting was a little low for us to see the excellent presentation of the dishes. We would recomend the chefs choices and wine pairing if you are looking to try something a little different."

"Loved everything about this new "find." Has a great bar with attentively made and interesting cocktails. Food was flavorful, interesting, delicious. My only "complaint" is that the salads are unnecessarily too large...more like entree size. Would have preferred a smaller portion so that I could better enjoy my entree. Trio of Creme Brulee dessert was fabulous!"
