A word from Novecento - Aventura
The cuisine at Novecento is a refined co-existence of Argentine, Mediterranean and Pan Latin cuisines heightened by French techniques, this style is perhaps best called NUEVO BISTRO. A comfort food restaurant catering first and foremost to the neighborhood clientele. Excellent food, good value and outstanding service create an atmosphere that is sure to become a regular hang-out. This sibling of the New York’s most welcoming meeting point, regardless of final destination is always Novecento. “MEET ME AT 900" Enjoy our Argentinean signature dishes, the typical Empanadas, Provoleta, Sweetbreads with a twist and flavorful grilled steaks. The menu is complimented by a great selection of wines and crafted cocktails. Wood oven fired flat breads and bar bites available.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "At 1st I was impressed. Maybe it was just an off night but I hope it's not slipping!"

  • "Looking for a good Argentinean place to have dinner, this is not really the best. You expect to find typical meat cut, but there is not really big choice in meats. You will find more fish options in the menu. As for the typical "mollejas", not bad as such, pity the sauce it goes with... On the average, medium. Advantage : outdoor dinning, although it is in a Parking lot."

  • "This place is very nice to be outside. Food is OK. Service is not very attentive."

  • "Every time we go to Novecento we walk out very pleased, Among many other excellent menu choices, the ribeye steak is way above average."

  • "Lovely outdoor area under big red umbrellas. White table cloths, good wine & accommodating wait-staff. Caesar salad delicious but pasta dish was a bit too mushy. However, over all experience was positive. I would go there again with a smile on my face."

  • "One in our party didn't ask enough about this entree & was very disappointed. The menu says slow cooked for 12 hours then grill finished. We thought braised falling off the bone tender, with quick outside char to complement. Ack, dry as a bone, very overdone. Thankfully, our big shared for two bone in ribeye was do e to Med Rare perfection & really big enough to share with the unfortunate one, with still a nice size bone for lunch the next day. Ambiance, servers were very warm. A very enjoyable evening and the Brazilian Steak was removed from our bill. First class restaurant and a testament to the legacy of their very recent and tragic death of the organization's CEO. Very sad, indeed."

  • "I love this restaurant I have been there a few times for lunch, I have been there twice for dinner, I have also been there for just a glass of wine with my friends. The food have always been great and the staff and the managers are very friendly. I also love to be able to sit outside and they have done a great job with the plants, as this is in a small plaza."

  • "I've been coming since the opening and while the servers do try hard for the most part, there is definitely a communication problem with many of the staff not understanding english sufficiently. On two occasions, the hostess station did not check us in on open table even though we clearly announced our reservation on the system upon arrival. And, it is also frustrating when our table's food orders are routinely brought out incorrectly. We want this establishment to succeed because Aventura is lacking in pleasant, outdoor dining areas and the food here is generally quite good."

  • "Novecento has been in our neighborhood for some time, but we never tried it until a couple of nights ago. We loved the food, ambiance and service. We will return soon."

  • "Great for lunch and dinner. Food is excellent, and while the name is Italian, it's not Italian, it's Argentenian. The food is good: predominantly beef dishes, though. The staff doesn't speak English too proficiently and it's not a place for children. It's a great date night spot."

  • "Great food, service for special celebration of Valentines Day and parents 52nd Anniversary."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "If you're looking to eat food with absolutely no taste, visit Novecento Aventura. It was obvious the food was heated in the microwave. The linguine shrimp tasted like plain pasta and the beef cappricio tasted like wet bread. Martinis were made with entirely too much alcohol. Ruined Valentine's. Mentioned to the staff the food was not to our liking, they responded, "we're sorry"......OK. Thanks Novecento Aventura."

  • "Celebrated our anniversary there and had a wonderful time. Ordered a Provoletta and the Manchego Croquettes as appetizers and they were delicious. The NY Strip with Mushroom Sauce was cooked perfectly and the Gnoccis in pink sauce were delicious. For dessert, we ordered the Dulce de Leche Creme Brulee and Panqueques con Dulce de Leche. Unfortunately, we sent back the creme brulee; it wasn't very good. However, the panqueques were amazing and totally made up for the other dessert being subpar. The service was excellent with very attentive and friendly servers and the manager was very gracious. He gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary and that capped our evening. The meal was pricey but worth it."

  • "I booked a table through the web site but when i arrive, there was nothing on their sytem even though I received my confirmation email. Anyway they found me a table inmediately. Regarding tips, I don't like the tip include on my ticket. I would like decide by myself, maybe i want to pay less than 18%"

  • "I suggest you tell your waiters to be a little more observant. Ours walked by us 5 maybe 6 times before he took our order. We got our drinks from the busboy. I read some of the other reviews. Service is bad. Might have something to do with the tip being included on the check. You should change that policy. Let the server earn his tip. Most people I know would give 20% or better."

  • "Our salads were tasty & fresh including a generous portion of freshly prepared chicken."

  • "I dined at Novecento for the first time with my boyfriend...it was a great ambiance, but the service was not good...I believe it has a lot to do with the gratuity being included. The waiters really did nothing more than the basic to make the experience a good one. The food was good, but it is definitely overpriced."

  • "The waiters and waitresses were too busy talking to each other than being available for service. The owner(Mgr was not there) After waiting an inordinate period of time for a check- we had to approach the group of 'busy waiters' congregated in the back of the restaurant for a check. However, we will be regulars despite the lackadaisical attitude. I believe the owner should address this issue and monitor the waiters and waitresses performance in the future."

  • "Way overpriced Latin comfort food. This is definitely a happy hour spot that is subsidized by suckers conned into joining them for dinner."

  • "I have eaten both at the brickell and adventure location. Food is sub par including appetizers and entrees. Stay away."

  • "The first course (salad) was not served simultaneously. The meat (ordered medium) was totally overcooked for everybody (8 people). If they call themselves an Argentinian steak restaurant, I can call myself a chef since at home I know how to cook meat to perfection. Overall experience including service was not acceptable."

  • "This was my 3rd. visit. The food has been good, but I can't get my drink made the way I like it. The cocktail that I always get with my meal is important & they missed the mark all 3 times. The manager was responsive when he finally came over, but they should get it right the FIRST time. With drinks costing $10-$12 a pop, the patron is entitled to get a good, solid drink. Top notch ingredients, blended correctly & not mostly ice. A good, honest drink will get you repeat business every time."

  • "The food was good and the place is beautiful but too expensive for the kind of experience and food. For the same price you can go to any gourmet place in Miami with better food, decor and experience. This place is a neighborhood restaurant not a fine dining restaurant."
    Dined on 12/12/2013
  • "Food is of great quality, staff is diligent. New spot that is crowded all the time until late, although it is not easily visible from the main road ( inside a strip mall in Aventura) Wine cellar keeps on building as weeks go by, good things to look forward to. In Argentina it would stack up to the best restaurants for value and ambiance. You feel like in a trendy spot in BsAs"

  • "Our reservation was at 8pm, by 9 they still hadn't brought menus. They were out of 2 items on the menu. Waitress forgot to place one dinner order. We ordered a house salad for the table (which our waitress recommended) and got a really small, appetizer size plate with over ripe, soggy tomatoes, a handful of bagged lettuce and no dressing and was charged $10 for it."

  • "I was pleasantly surprised with Novecento last Friday nite. The food was very good & although the service had a few gaps, overall it was a good dining experience. I plan to return in the near future. Good job!!!"

  • "This place gives mediocrity a good name. Three times cocktail had to be returned And was not mixed. ordered chicken Cobb salad and unappealing flatly presented plate of pedestrian lettuce a sprinkling of cheese and bacon was delivered. Requested tossed prior ;arrived dry . Took + 10 minutes to get dressing because server felt itmore important to take care of whatever she was doing at computer terminal as that clearly took priority over serving an essential condiment. Rolls appear to be made in house and from prefabbed commercial dough..... were white and rubbery not even with an appealing toasted color. My companion was not served until well after my salad was placed in front of me. nothing experienced that would warrant 2nd visit"
