  • "Lunched here twice over the weekend. What's not to like! Three course lunch for $36 is a great bargain considering the quality of the dishes. Good wine list. Attentive and friendly service. Nice view over the park. As I spooned into the chocolate lava cake for the second time in 2 days I felt life could not be much better."

  • "Let me start by saying how much I adore Nougatine. I eat here regularly and the food is normally transporting. For some strange (and rare) reason, the food was "meh" this time. Completely uninspriring and lacking visual appeal. My dining companion sent her fish entree back twice before changing it to chicken in exasperation. The sauce on the cod was overly seasoned, extremely salty, and prevented one from tasting the fish. The fish itself looked like a small, raggedy sliver, and was slightly rubbery. The chicken, although tastier, was sprinked with a handful of shrivelled up little peas. Although I was disappointed, I would come back as I believe this is a one-off. I've had more exceptional experiences than bad ones."

  • "The dishes are good but the imagination seems toned down. Offly, the staff doesn't aim to please or be invested and informed as they should be. That said, who can fault the brilliant mayonnaise served with the global artichoke, or the bright taste of seasonal tomatoes with the snapper. The tone of the staff when dealing with rain on the terrace was negative and on the edge of rude, rather than accommodating. They were not gracious."
