My dinner companion had the Cornish game hen, and it was so big that we joked with the waiter that it must have been on steroids. She could not eat it all, which turned out to be a good thing.
I had the black cod which was excellent; however, the serving size was miniscule. It even looked skimpy on my plate. I did not have enough to eat. I ended up eating my companion's leftover Cornish game hen. Suggest that you increase the serving size for the cod, as fish is much lighter than fowl or meat & thus less filling. I wondered if you had reduced the serving size of the black cod because of it being on the prix-fixe menu. I also ordered the 'pulled pork tostada' and on the menu it didnt mention that this is a suckling pig. I found afterwards once we received the cheque as it states "Suckling pig". Location is one short block from the Four Seasons Centre, so it is easy to have a relaxing dinner and get to the opera in time. Let's start off with the most courteous waiting staff I have ever encountered. The pacing was perfect, we were never long without food or drink, but it never felt rushed. The food was to die for. The lobster appetizer was incredible, so many flavours on one plate, so little time. The cod and beef tenderloin were absolutely fantastic. Both melted in your mouth. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, each individual we dealt with was lovely. It was an anniversary lunch with my boss, who is what one would call a "Bay Street lawyer". He had not heard of it, and was very impressed, so I expect he'll be returning to this gem when he's impressing clients. We shared two entrees among us, and although they weren't for sharing, the small tastes we each had were superb. We ad the halibut, scallops and chicken and all were wonderful.
