A word from Not Your Average Joe's Seekonk
What does creative casual cuisine mean? Exactly what it says. We"re creative, because we reject the same-old-same-old in favor of tastes that are interesting and unique. We're casual because while our food may be worth getting dressed up for, we invite you to come as you are. We're all about cuisine in the sense that our chefs apply high standards of culinary art. There it is. Creative. Casual. Cuisine. If it sounds like your kind of place, then you – like us- are not your average Joe. At Not Your Average Joe's, we build like we cook: creatively, from scratch, with guests in mind. One look at the renderings of our new Seekonk restaurant, and you'll see what we mean.

Food and service were great. Hostess and front staff screwed up reservation but it was their fault, not the system they blamed it on. We suddenly went from our reserved 4 to 2 and took a bit of time for them to get things together. Otherwise, the waiter was phenomenal and food was good.

I like the chain. I used to be a regular at the restaurant near New Bedford. Love the food. Reasonable prices. Good options for folks who want to eat healthfully and watch calories. The Seekonk restaurant is a blessed upgrade from Bugaboo Creek. Nice decor. I like the energy.

I have been to the NYAJ's in Dartmouth, Randolph and Needham. The space in Seekonk is the best of the 4. Unfortunately, the service was so bad it was difficult to determine the quality of the food. Of the 5 people at our table, only 2 received the food prepared as ordered. In addition to being wrong, it took 45 minutes from time of order for the wrong orders to arrive. The errors were rectified quickly and our server was very nice and offered free dessert but I will have a hard time making the decision to come back to this establishment.

The new NYAJ in Seekonk is extremely busy. My wife and I went, inadvertently, on the night of the grand opening and found a 2 hour wait. So on our second shot we made reservations and it's a good thing we did, as we were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time. The Service: It was slow at first. It took about 20 minutes to get our bread and to even order drinks, which took another 10 minutes to get there. Once we got our food it was fantastic, but thankfully we didn't need anything else during our meal because we didn't see the server again until the end of our meal when it was time for desert. Then again, our server looked extremely frazzled and seemed like she was having a rough night.

This is a particularly unique review for a joes. They just opened and everyone wanted to go! We were sat 20 minutes after our reservation and it took an hour to get our food after that. I've always loves joes and will continue to go. I think that this was a fluke due to it being a new restaurant in a relatively busy neighborhood.

This restaurant just opened up a couple of weeks ago and my only complaint was that it was too loud. Where we were sitting in the restaurant was right around the corner as you enter the bar. It could be that it was just the bar atmosphere but I found that you had to yell to speak to the person across from you. I will definitely try it again maybe when it dies down a little bit or for lunch at a later date.

My experience at Not Your Average Joe's was fabulous. I was seated promptly at the time I made my reservation for. We arrived 10 minutes early to check in and while we were waiting a server came over with a pizza tray and offered a slice of pizza to hold us over. From there we were seated; met our wonderful waitress and had a very positive evening. The 2 managers that we met were extensive in their knowledge of the company. My wife and I highly recommend this restaurant.
