Food is fresh, servings are appropriate. Needless to say, since we are regulars we are treated warmly with our habits remembered. They will tailor most any dish. The food is reasonably priced and is generally tasty and attractively presented. Food is not "foodie" caliber, but it is usually a good meal for a reasonable price. Portions are generous, but not huge. Desserts are easily big enough to share. Their food is fresh, varied and excellent. They will tailor a menu item anyway you want. Great for people with allergies or special diet requirements.
The whole staff, management, wait staff and cooks just want you to enjoy your time there.
We eat out a lot. NyAJ is one of our two favorite restaurants. (the other is Tex-Mex so there is really no comparison.) We know when the crowds are there so we usually avoid them.
