Diner Reviews
  • "Small plates of food and flavor you never thought went together, but do, so surpisingly and wonderfully."

  • "I would say the experience was great and the food was very unique and well prepared. But, I didn't feel there was any dish, of the four we tried, that I would specifically want to go back to eat. In other words, it was a fun experience trying their unique creations, but the food didn't have, what I would call, a comfort or crave factor."

  • "A good place to go with friends and have a sampling of great food. Their concept is small portions of food for sharing. There are three to four portions per plate. I would recommend ordering two dishes per person, this way you can sample most of what Nosh has to offer. There is a decent selection of drafts and wines. Try their Beet Caprese, even those in the party who didn't like beets found the dish wonderful."

  • "This is a gem in downtown Colorado Springs. When I visit from Denver, this is one spot I must stop at for my small plate fix. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. They are very sensible to anyone with food allergies."

  • "Nosh is wonderful--consummate professionalism all-around. Jessalyn is the best, most personable and attentive server that I've ever had--she knows how to connect with a group based on the occasion. As we were there for a meeting, she "hung back", but made sure every need was met quickly and with a warm smile. She's a keeper, Nosh!"

  • "Nosh is my go to restaurant when people say they want something light. It's always fresh, interesting tasting, and some of the best cocktails in town. Free parking in the heart of town helps, too."

  • "the food is good, but not great, and terrible for anyone looking to eat on a lighter scale. healthiest alternatives were the bowls, which were unappealing, at least to me. we had the beet salad, which was good, but very messy to eat as the beets were very thinly sliced and difficult to maneuver if you wanted to get them nicely on the bread provided. I ended up with purple fingertips while trying to eat it. the shrimp was good, but again, it was served with remoulade within a fried tomato. good, but not for the calorie conscious. drinks were good, but not strong. will probably wait a while before returning, at least so that they will hopefully change up the menu."

  • "This was our second trip to Nosh. We ordered the Experience and it was just as amazing as the first time. Everything was brought out with perfect timing. Our server and attendants were very attentive and personable. The dishes are beautifully prepared and so unexpected. This place is just fantastic. The food, service and ambience all meld together perfectly!"

  • "The food has always been very good, but recent menu changes have taken the quality and variety up a notch. The Philly Cheese Steak is outstanding, as are the selections on the newly revised dessert menu. An excellent downtown dining spot with great values during happy hour."

  • "I celebrated my 50th birthday at Nosh on a Tuesday night! The bartender made sure that our drinks were made to our exact liking and the wait staff did an outstanding job of explaining each dish that was ordered. Most definetly will return! What an enjoyable establishment."

  • "Attractive space albeit very noisy. I had an arugula and spinach salad that had so much dressing that it was a soggy mess - couldn't taste the arugula. My friends enjoyed their mussels, however, and I had a bite of the bacon-wrapped figs that were very good. The attentive server apologized for the time it took our dinners to arrive (although we really didn't notice) and brought us an appetizer on the house. It was excellent - two types of salmon and a sweet potato cake presented very creatively. I had the salmon - I asked for it very rare but it was very well done. However, the server whisked it away and brought me another without too much wait. My friends had the bass and steak - they seemed to enjoy it. A bit pricey."

  • "Nosh is one of the best restaurants in all of Colorado Springs, in my opinion. Great for couples or groups. If you really want to experience the best of what they have to offer, order up "The Experience", in which they bring you four courses of their choosing. You don't know what you're going to get until it comes, but it's all good. Great wine list, too. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it."

  • "Great service, great food, but a little dark. We were a little skeptical of most of the dishes on the menu. Most of them sounded over the top and trying to put too many ingredients into one dish. Our waitress was able to give complete descriptions of the dishes and the ingredients and helped us choose a couple in addition to our safe choices and all the dishes were well prepared and very tasty. We did have one dish with a bit too much salt but our waitress took care it. We will definitely go back but if it is at night, I will probably ask for a table with a little more light so I can read the menu without a flashlight."

  • "Great time. We were sat right when we came in. Service was great. Food was good just needed a larger portion especially for the price."

  • "I was very disappointed with our Valentine's Dinner. First off, who sets a fixed menu and doesn't tell that to folks when they make a res. We selected Nosh because of our knowledge of the menu . . . only to find no menu items available. Could have been great, but the food was just, well blah! All in all, a cautionary experience for folks who have dined there 50+ times since it opened."

  • "The atmosphere was nice and the service was great. The food was good but the portions were too small for the price. The Valentines Day menu was strange. Best part was the main course but it wasn't near enough food for my husband and I. The pear sangria was really good and I'm not much of a drinker. I would only recommend this restaurant to my family/friends who have deep pockets and small stomachs."

  • "I made a reservation for valentines day and never saw that they had a very limited menu. When we got there we asked if they were using there regular menu and was told no. I am a very picky eater and the three main courses that were offered I would not touch at all so my date and I had to leave because I am not going to pay for something I would not eat. I do enjoy eating at nosh but this ruined the whole evening for us ."

  • "...then how small are they for one diner?? Good overall but be prepared...all caveats about the unique culinary experience appreciated...you know it's a sub-standard experience when your size 2 girlfriend/womanfriend is also ready to find a subsequent restaurant at which we could then have DINNER!! For most I would imagine Nosh would feel more like a taste-testing, appetizer venue than a 'dinner' locale. -AH from Denver"

  • "My husband and I just moved from Seattle, so we were looking for a trendy local restaurant to get unique cocktails and small plates. We were surprised that we could only choose from the limited Valentines day menu, but we ended up liking our food and cocktails, and will return to sample the regular menu. In Seattle, we went every weekend to a tapas/New American restaurant and this is in line with the quality of food and experience we were looking for."

  • "Nosh is great for Vegans, Vegetarians, and meat eaters. The food is delicious and the portions are just the right size, not too big and not too small. We love it"

  • "We went to NOSH before a performance at the Pikes Peak Center, along with a lot of other people. The wait staff inquired if we were indeed headed to the PPC so that they could serve us in a timely manner. That was great - I have been places that are near the Center and were not geared up for the crowd on performance night. And along with the service, the food was, as always, excellent. NOSH is one of my favories - especially for Monday night Happy Hour."

  • "The Nosh was outstanding. The chicken and waffles were amazing along with the green chili mac and cauliflower. Our wait staff was truly terrific as well. Thank you!"

  • "Food and service was absolutely fantastic, but we sat by a drafty window. My husband looked at an empty art studio all night. I know if we had said we didn't like the table, the staff would have moved us without hesitation, but perhaps the table should not be placed there. This was our first time at the restaurant, so we went with "The Experience" and had the server pick our food. Every choice was excellent. We are not drinkers, so I cannot speak to the wine or cocktails other then to say there was a large and interestingly named list. We were just out on a date night, but this would be a great place for a ladies night out. We will be back, though on our budget, probably no more than once or twice a year."

  • "Very interesting food and wine menu with tasty seasonal offerings. Excellent downtown location for performances at the Pikes Peak Center with free parking below with voucher and a short walk across Cascade to performances. Service is excellent. Happy Hour menu and prices are a bargain."

  • "We had a last minute going away party for a co-worker and NOSH was just the place. The service was awesome, food was superb and great fun was had by all 12 of us. We will definitely be back."

  • "Held a gathering for 6 couples, none of whom had eaten dinner at Nosh prior. Many of group had reservations about the menu when first reading it. The waitperson walked us through the menu and suggested we order two items each to make a meal. Probably too much food. One order each and one to share would have been plenty. The dishes were delivered in more of a tapas style. Everything was wonderfully flavorful. Dishes were delivered hot, and even though they were not delivered in a traditional way, it worked for our group. Ordering up these small dishes along with wine or other drinks brought the price tag up considerable, but for a special occasion, worth the cost."

  • "The desserts were about a 3 on a scale of 10. The descriptions that were on the menu didn't clearly state all the components on were on the plate. Also, the waffle is really dense."

  • "Would not recommend for holiday special menu. Food was good but quantity was lacking for the cost. Big disappointment . There everyday menu is worthy though."

  • "W e thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during out dinner at Nosh. We were delighted with the food and the price. Our server was pleasant and fun to talk with. She didn't rush us or crowd us, she left us alone an appropriate amount of time. Our water or soda drinks were refilled promptly, we always appreciate that."

  • "This is a pretty cool place. Great art work on the walls, booths are comfortable, waitstaff is thorough, and overall a great ambience. Chicken and Waffles are amazing! Appetizers all looked amazing, but wish I had a larger group to try more. Definitely recommend to friends!"

  • "Took a friend out to dinner for her birthday. She has a handful of food allergies and the waitress was very helpful in asking the cook about certain dishes on the menu to make sure they didn't include these specific allergens. Since all the desserts included at least one food that she is allergic to, the waitress kindly comped her a glass of wine instead of the usual free dessert on your birthday. We didn't ask for that at all. She just surprised us with that. Nosh has often excelled in the area of customer service. Thanks again!"

  • "Overall very impressed since the last visit. Everything we ate was remarkable, even the cocktails. Service quality gets a "good" designation because service was slow due to a large party consuming our waitresses time."
